Norman Patton, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Seaside Memorial Park at Corpus Christi. Mrs. Strasner was born in Lawton, Okla. She moved to Olton in 1994 from San Angelo. She was a teacher and taught at Methodist Children's School in Corpus Christi. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Stevens Strasner in 1950 at Post. He died in 1982. Survivors include a brother, Bob Hipp of Olton; and a sister, Pauline Jones of Olton. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Feb. 13, 2000 Grace Campsey CHILDRESS - Grace Campsey, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in Quanah. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Goodlett Cemetery at Goodlett. Officiants were her great-grandson, Randy Robertson, and the Rev. Don Wirsdorfer, minister of First Christian Church. Arrangements were by PriceJackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Campsey was born in Montague County. She lived in Quanah until moving to Childress in 1963. She was a privateduty nurse for Hardeman County Memorial Hospital and Childress Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Goodlett Church of Christ. She married Joseph Edward Campsey in 1925 at Hardeman County. He died in 1963. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Campsey in 1975 and Harold Campsey in 1996. Survivors include a son, Larry Campsey of Quanah; a daughter, Louise Havins of Childress; eight grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Feb. 13, 2000 Janice Knox SUDAN - Janice Knox, 80, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Hargrove, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Sudan. Mrs. Knox was born in Direct and moved to Sudan in 1947 from Jacksboro. She was a graduate of Bomarion High School. During the 1960s and 1970s, she owned and operated the Sands Restaurant in Sudan. Mrs. Knox was the cook for the Muleshoe Livestock Auction Barn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sudan. She married R.B. Knox in 1938 at Seymour. He died in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Jim Knox of Abernathy and Chester Knox of Littlefield; a daughter, Celia Kuykendall of Sudan; three sisters, LuVois McHenry of Mesquite, Ruby Davis of Seagoville and Joyce Rasberry of Dallas; two brothers, Ferrol Ford of Seagoville and Bobby Ford of DeSoto; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Blakeney was born in Alvord and had lived in Stinnett for 50 years. He retired as an oil field operator for Phillips Petroleum Company in the E&P Department and was a member of Stinnett Church of Christ. His wife, Mary S. Blakeney, died in 1991. Mr. Roberson was born in Dale County, Ala., and served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. In 1948, he received a degree in agricultural engineering from Auburn University, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi, an engineering scholastic fraternity, and Alpha Zeta, an agricultural scholastic fraternity. In Hesston, Kan., he worked for Hesston Corporation as a farm equipment designer and tester before retiring from the sales department in 1988. In 1991, he moved to Pampa, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church and President of the Auxiliary at Pampa Regional Medical Center. He married Elizabeth Fields in 1945 at Covington, Ky. Survivors include his wife; a son, R.M. "Ray" Roberson of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Anne E. He had been in the grocery business in Dalhart since 1946. Mr. Martin was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club. In 1991, he moved to Amarillo where he was a member of the Valley View Church of the Nazarene. He married Earlene Comstock in 1948 at Dalhart. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Fortenberry was born in Tulia and had lived in Amarillo for 60 years. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College. She owned and operated Donna's Bookstop on West Sixth Avenue. She was a member of the Sixth Street Merchants Association and Arden Road Baptist Church. Her daughter, Deborah Sue Kennedy, died in 1999. She married Clayton Fortenberry in 1956 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Fortenberry of Greenwood and Kevin Fortenberry of Amarillo; a daughter, Janis Hemphill of Amarillo; a brother, Roy Simmons of The Woodlands; a sister, Dorothy McGee of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Feb. 13, 2000 New Mexico Richard Olan Neidhardt CLOVIS, N.M. - Richard Olan Neidhardt, 75, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. MST Tuesday in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., of Amarillo. Mr. Neidhardt was born in Edgerton, Ohio and moved to Clovis in 1995 from Austin, Texas. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a self-employed real estate broker in Austin. He married Bobbie Guthrie in 1983 at Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife; three stepdaughters, Denise Hinkel, Deborah Lowe and Pamela Overall, all of Austin; two stepsons, Frank Offutt and Kenneth Offutt, both of Austin; and 10 grandchildren. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday. The family will be at 1301 Gidding in Clovis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Beaver First Baptist Church with Don Rogers and Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Capital View Cemetery in Elmwood by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mr. Sargent was born in Borger and graduated from Beaver High School. He worked as a farm hand and attended the First Baptist Church of Beaver. Survivors include his parents, Darrel and Kathy Glenn of Beaver; a sister, Ashley Glenn of Beaver; a brother, Jonathan Glenn of Beaver; his grandparents, Sandy Durham of Amarillo, Tony Sargent of Pampa, Texas, Donald Green of Beaver and Barbara Glenn of Dodge City, Kan.; and his great-grandmother, Laura Longcor of Beaver.
