Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Shamrock with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Taylor was born in Lockney and lived in Shamrock for most of her life. For 21 years she was a beautician in Shamrock then moved to Bedford where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She married her first husband, B.T. Johnston, in 1927. He died in 1981. She married R.L. Wyatt later that year and he died shortly after. She married John I. Taylor in 1984. He died in 1992. She also was preceded in death by a son, C.T. Johnston, in 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Mavis Conner of Springtown and Mary Lynn Kimber of Hurst; a sister, Pearl Hicks of Panhandle; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Smith was born in Littlefield. During World War II he served in the Army's Ordnance Division in Italy. He was engaged in farming and ranching. Mr. Smith helped organize the Lamb County Sheriff's Posse and was a member for more than 20 years. He is a former member of the Littlefield JayCees and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Littlefield Masonic Lodge No. 1161 and past worthy patron of the Littlefield Eastern Star No. 742. For 13 years Mr. Smith served on the Rainbow advisory board. He was active in organizing World War II class reunions. He married Bettye Kate Holladay in 1944 at Paris, Texas. He worked for the railroads and farmed during the 1930s then worked for the city of Texhoma. In 1983 he retired after a total of 25 years as a grain elevator operator for Riffe Brothers and Texhoma Wheat Growers. Following retirement he moved to Grove where he was a member of the Church of Nazarene. He married Leota Ahrens in 1942. He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Stump of Washougal, Wash. Mrs. Harris was born in Bell County and moved to Levelland in 1929, graduating from high school in 1936. She married William Battle Harris in 1937.
