Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Smiles was born in Nocona and lived in Pampa for many years. She moved to Kingsland where she had an accounting and bookkeeping service. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, C.J. Smiles; three sons, David Smiles and Chris Smiles, both of Kingsland, and Scott Smiles of Pampa; a daughter, Jeannie Smiles of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Wilfong was born in Hastings, Okla., and lived in Dodson for most of his life. He attended school in Dodson and was a farmer. He married Eunice Newton in 1951 at Hollis, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Wilfong of Selah, Wash.; a daughter, Maurine Putman of Wellington; two sisters, Fay Murley of Granite, Okla., and Bobbie Weiser of Tulia; and eight grandchildren. Alejandro Ruiz officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Arellano was born in Georgetown and moved to Lockney in 1955 from Mathis. In 1960 she moved to Floydada where she was a homemaker and member of Templo Getsemani Assembly of God. She married Carlos B. Arellano Sr. in 1955 at Vernon. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Manuel Rodriquez of Plainview, Carlos Arellano Jr. of Victoria and Adam Arellano of Floydada; three daughters, Anita R. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mrs. Gore was born in Texhoma, Okla. She was a homemaker and longtime Dalhart resident before moving to Derby in 1993. She married Mike Gore in 1939 at Guymon, Okla. He died in October. Survivors include two daughters, Lula Ann Hendry and Mary Kay Collier, both of Derby; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Goodman was born in Morton where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was secretary for the Morton Chamber of Commerce. She married Billy Mac Goodman in 1949 at Morton. He died in 1959. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry D. Gilliam, grandson, of the Heart Ministries in Levelland, and the Rev. Keith Paxton of Levelland officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Jennings was born in Fort Cobb, Okla. In the 1970s she moved to Mineral Springs from Morton. She and her husband operated self-service gas stations. She married Floyd Jennings in 1939 at Fort Cobb. He died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Dalton Howard and Norman Ray. Survivors include a son, Dorman Jennings of Tyler; four daughters, Thelma White of Nashville, Ark., Cleda Gilliam of Bastrop, Joy Hale of Mineral Springs and Dorothy Thomas of Bryan; two sisters, Virgie Spencer of Lubbock and Frankie Sparks of Council Grove, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. He was the grandson of Casimerro Romero, the founder of Old Tascosa. He served in the Army, retiring as a sergeant first class after 30 years. He was an ROTC instructor at the College of William and Mary. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Diamond and Peggy Pittman, both of Amarillo; three nieces; and four nephews. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She married Manuel Galban in 1966 at Clovis. She was preceded in death by a son, Reyes Medina. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Pate was born in Pandora, Texas and moved to Kena in 1914 by covered wagon with his family. He moved to Milnesand where he was a longtime rancher. During World War II he served in the Army. Mr. Pate was a member of Milnesand Baptist Church. He played the fiddle for country dances. After his retirement in 1969 he moved to Portales then moved to Clovis in 1991. He married Ruby Jewel Mason in 1944 at Plainview, Texas. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lennie Dosher of Clovis; a brother, Ray Pate of Ransom, Texas; a sister, Lucille Paul of Capitain, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A longtime resident of Clayton, she worked from 1949 until 1961 for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. She worked with her husband as bookkeeper at Gordon's Body Shop until their retirement in 1982. She married Gordon E. Rentfro in 1950 at Raton. Mr. Jones was born in Oceanside, Calif. He lived in Prescott and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Prescott Valley. He owned "Have Squeegee Will Travel" Window Washing for 20 years. He married Carolyn Sue Journagan in 1974 at Hope, Ark.
