Mrs. Scarlett was born in Oklahoma. She was a real estate agent and after retiring worked as a profession seamstress. She married Howard Scarlett in 1945 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Annen of Canyon; a sister, Pauline Fortenberry of Belen, N.M.; and a grandson. Osage St., with Dr. G.A. Roach, director of pastoral care at Northwest Texas Hospital, officiating. Ms. Sloan was born in Amarillo and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1971. She worked at Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp. After moving to Amarillo, he attended Sam Houston Middle School, Tascosa High School, and Amarillo College, where he was a member of the chess club. He also attended South Plains College in Levelland and worked as a supervisor for Sitel Communications in Amarillo. After attending Amarillo College in Amarillo and West Texas State College in Canyon, he graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago and worked for the U.S. Bureau of Mines as an operator and supervisor. He worked at the Otis Helium Plant in Otis, Kan., the Navajo Helium Plant in Shiprock, N.M., and retired as Chief of Helium Production from the Amarillo Helium Plant in Amarillo. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He married Virginia Kell in 1941 at Amarillo. Mr. English was born and raised in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1948 and went to work for the First National Bank in Plainview. During the Korean War, he served in the Air Force. He earned a business degree at Texas Tech and moved to Rankin, where he worked as a federal bank examiner. He returned to Plainview and worked for the First National Bank. Mr. English was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Gideons International and New Covenant Church. He was a past member of the Rotary Club. Mrs. Anderson was born in Martha, Okla. She lived in Quitaque and Gasoline before moving to Tulia in 1918. After graduating from Love Community School in Swisher County and receiving a teacher's certificate from West Texas Normal School in Canyon, she taught at Houston Community School in Swisher County. She taught in Quitaque, and she returned to Tulia and taught at Red Hill, Valley View, and Love Community schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia, where she taught Sunday school and was on the Bereavement Committee. She was a charter member of the Sorosis Study Club in Tulia. She married T.P. He and his wife, Myrta Carter, were married in 1983 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Becky Reeves of Clovis, Vicky Welch of Wolfforth, Texas, and Cathy Flory of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Mona Robinson of Tularosa; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Kullback officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Logan Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Cooper was born in Wichita Falls, Texas. During World War II, he served with the Navy and was injured when his ship, the USS Coury, was sunk during the D-Day Invasion at Normandy Beach. Following the war, he farmed in California and worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of the Sahuaro Masonic Lodge No. 45 in Phoenix. In 1989, he and his wife, Pauline Cooper, moved to Logan, where they were members of the First Baptist Church. His son, Douglas, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Rita Jean Ewalt of Gillette, Wyo., Linda Kay Bush of Gainesville, Fla., and Barbara J. Morgan of Logan; a son, Jimmy D.
