Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Tommy Needham of First Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Wiginton was born in Littlefield. She was a homemaker. She lived in Canyon many years, then lived in south Texas before moving to Amarillo six years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon. She married Frank Wiginton in 1952 at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He died in 1993. She also was preceded in death by a son, David Wiginton, in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Herbert of Amarillo; her mother, Ruth Gray of Llano; a brother, Bill Gray of Llano; two sisters, Betty Anderson of Llano and Peggy Banks of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. John Wiley "Spud" Dickens, 42, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Family Life Fellowship with Dale Travis, pastor, officiating. A "celebration of life" will follow at Memorial Park on Washington Street. Cremation and other arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Dickens was born in Borger and lived in Amarillo most of his life. He worked for Attebury Grain and Tulia Livestock Auction. He attended Family Life Fellowship. Milam St. James "Jim" Noland, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Llano Mausoleum with Dr. G.A. Roach, director of pastoral care at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Mausoleum by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Noland was born in Floyd County and raised in Summerfield. He worked for Santa Fe Railway and retired as a conductor in 1979. He volunteered for the Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary for 17´ years, serving as gift shop chairman and assistant treasurer. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge, where he served as past master. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Kathelene Wade in 1939 at Santa Rosa, N.M. He was preceded in death by a daughter. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe Noland of Houston; two daughters, Kathy Thomas of Amarillo and Sally Noland of Moline, Ill.; two brothers, J.B. Noland of Hereford and Otho Noland of Amarillo; a sister, Eva Lookingbill of Summerfield; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. BORGER - Anna Lea O'Grady, 103, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Highland Park Cemetery, Resthaven Garden with the Rev. Alan Williamson officiating. Arrangements are by Mintonƒ/ƒChatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. O'Grady was born in Dekalb County, Mo., and lived in Borger 45 years, moving from Pampa. She was an artist and a member of the Christian Church. She was living in Amarillo at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee O' Grady, in 1956; and by a daughter, Colleen McMullen. Survivors include a daughter, Rosalie Johnson of Amarillo; two grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Foundation. Scott Green, 22, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Green was born in Dalhart and lived most of his life in Amarillo. He attended Boys Town High School in Boys Town, Neb. He was an Army veteran. The family suggests memorials be to Coffee Memorial Blood Center. TEXHOMA, Okla. - Nannie May Beall, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Guymon. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Foursquare Church at Guymon with Timothy Brittain, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Goodwell Cemetery at Goodwell by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mrs. Beall was born in Lilydale, Tenn. She had been a restaurant cook. She married Alvin Garrett Beall in 1935 at Mangum. He died in 1939. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara J. Hundley; and two sons, Garland Earnest Beall and Alvin Garrett Beall Jr. Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Saenz of Oklahoma City, Shirley Taggart of Goodwell and Ann Beall of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Helen Johnston of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. KERMIT - Gary Lawrence Bliss, 50, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Gardendale. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Cotton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery by Cooper Funeral Chapel Inc. Mr. Bliss was born in Monahans. He was a longtime resident of Kermit before moving to Odessa in July. He was an oil field technician for Brandt-Tubescope-Vetco. He was a Baptist. He married Ina Herrmann in 1999 at Deming, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Bliss of Carlsbad, N.M.; a daughter, Kari Bliss of Kermit; his mother, Ruby Bliss of Kermit; a brother, Jimmy Bliss of Kermit; and a sister, Kathy Odom of Lakin, Kan. Thomas W. Ritchey, 75, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in San Jacinto Church of Christ with Mike Suiter, pulpit minister, officiating. He retired from Baldwin Trucking Co. as a truck driver. He was a member of San Jacinto Church of Christ. He married Inez Hinsley in 1950 at Carlsbad, N.M. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Vernon Ritchey; three daughters, Ora Dee Johnson of Yukon, Okla., and Wanda Nelson and Donna Bilbrey, both of Amarillo; a brother, Fred L. Ritchey of Longview; two sisters, Aline Spies of Hallsville and Deanna Lockmiller of Ranchville, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. FRIONA - O.L. "Mac" McMurtrey, 73, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Petty officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. McMurtrey was born in Walters, Okla. He joined the Navy in 1944, serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He returned to Parmer County in 1946 and worked as a carpenter, helping to build Friona Wheat Growers. He later helped build Mills & Fleming Gin at Hub. He was manager of Hub Grain Co. since 1959 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He had lived in Friona 48 years. Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Clark of Friona; three sons, Claude McMurtrey of Silverton, Darrell McMurtrey of San Diego and Bryce McMurtrey of Amarillo; a brother, Eddie McMurtrey of Midwest City, Okla.; and six grandchildren. BORGER - Lily Mae Stone, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of Fountains with Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stone was born in Newport, Ark. She lived in Borger 55 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Lee Stone, in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Manasco of Borger; a brother, Alton Koettel of Newport; a sister, Cleo Davenport of Borger; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. SPEARMAN - Marjorie Curtis, 80, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery at Pampa with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Curtis was born in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School. She moved to Spearman in 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church of Spearman. She was a past member of the 20th Century Club and the Gladiola Flower Club. MCLEAN - Opal Ernestine "Teen" Davis, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Heald Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong resident of the McLean area. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm. She was a member of Heald Methodist Church. She married William Arthur "Ott" Davis in 1937 at Oklahoma City. He died in 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Jacquline Younger of Amarillo, Jana Davis of Canyon and Rhonda Graham of McLean; two sisters, Gwyn Clement of Pampa and Claudine Thomas of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Heald Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors at Mrs. Davis's home. HEREFORD - Gilberto Herrera, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today and Wednesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in La Iglesia de San Jose with the Rev. Adalberto Ramirez, O.F.M. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Herrera was born in Vasuchil, Chihuahua, Mexico. He attended school in Mexico. He moved to Hereford in 1957 from Mexico. He retired from Santa Fe Railway. He was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose. He married Tomasa Salmon in 1934 at Mexico. She died in 1986. Survivors include eight daughters, Bertha Herrera of Mexico, Amanda Gonzales of Alamogordo, N.M., Elvira Morales, Yolanda Herrera, Rosemary Herrera and Maggie Orta, all of Hereford, Graciela Huerta of Garden City, Kan., and Leticia Arellano of Dumas; two sons, Gilberto Herrera of Amarillo and Manuel Herrera of Dumas; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. CLOVIS, N.M. - Vaughnie T. Morgan, 81, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery at Amarillo. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Morgan was born in Poolville, Texas. He worked as a brakeman for Santa Fe Railway 42 years, retiring in 1983. Survivors include a son, Jody Morgan of Shelton, Wash.; a daughter, Barbara Pemberton of Clovis; seven stepchildren; two brothers, Richard Morgan of Raton and Robert Morgan of Clovis; a sister, Lois Fox of Portales; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. LUBBOCK - Anna Pearl Muckleroy, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Tishomingo Cemetery at Tishomingo, Okla. Arrangements are by Corbin Funeral Home of Tishomingo and Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock. Mrs. Muckleroy was born in Davis, Okla. She attended school in Foss, Okla. She was a homemaker and worked on a farm. She received her cosmetology degree at Amarillo Beauty College and later owned Fairground Beauty Shop. She had been a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church in Amarillo since 1965. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oklahoma. She married Ben H. Muckleroy in 1939 at Arapaho, Okla. He died in 1977. Survivors include a daughter, Sue McClure of Artesia, N.M.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Corbin Funeral Home. GUYMON, Okla. - Donald Richard "Rick"Ralstin Jr., 52, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, and the Rev. Quitman McCrory of Tulsa officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Ralstin was born in Guymon. He graduated from high school in Guymon in 1966 and earned a business degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1971. He participated in the Reserve Officers Training Corps while in college and later served as a first lieutenant in the Army. He worked eight years as a salesman for Hinchey Ford. He was a member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church. He married Joan Schmidt in 1969. Survivors include a son, Travis Ralstin of Guymon; a daughter, Tiffany Pierson of Guymon; his mother and stepfather, Bettie and Cecil Williams of Guymon; two brothers, Todd Ralstin of Oklahoma City and Monte Ralstin of Tucson; a grandmother, Ruth Beck of Guymon; three grandchildren; and his fiance, Moneka Potter of Oklahoma City. The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home.
