Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Latham was born in Amarillo. She was a hairdresser. She had been a member of Second Baptist Church for nine years. She married Thomas E. Latham Sr. in 1951 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Renee Conner, earlier this year. Survivors include two sons, Thomas E. Latham Jr. of Amarillo and Tully E. Latham of Panhandle; her mother, Ruby Mae Bardwell of Amarillo; two sisters, Donna Reeves of Amarillo and Jo Beth Terry of Fritch; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Amarillo High School and a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church where she was deaconess and member of Christian Women's Fellowship. She married Raymond L. Moore in 1928 at Amarillo. He died in 1962. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Tomberlin of Amarillo and Nancy Skaggs of Adrian; seven grandchildren; and eight grandchildren. Osage St. Mrs. Perry was born in Marion and lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a member of Jerusalem Church of God and Christ. Mr. Long was born in Tupelo, Miss., and lived in Clovis since 1946. During World War II he served in the Navy. He was an automotive mechanic. He was a Methodist. He married Margaret "Maggie" Taylor in 1966 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Long of Clovis; a daughter, Patsy Welsh of Melrose; two brothers, Ray Long of Mississippi and Jack Long of California; four sisters, Ila Curtis White of Texas, Josephine Large of South Carolina, Sarah Hull of Florida, and Daisey Benham of California; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, April 18, 2000 Luciester Pattison CLOVIS, N.M. - Luciester Pattison, 92, died Friday, April 14, 2000. Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louis Pattison and Rev. Lance Clemmons officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Pattison moved to Clovis as a teen-ager and attended Clovis schools. She earned a bachelor's degree and was valedictorian of her class at Daniel Baker College in Brownwood. She attended Princeton Theological Seminary in New York for one year and earned a master's degree at the University of New Mexico. Mrs. Pattison taught school at Phillips, Texas, at Hagerman, N.M., and at Hermleigh, Texas. She was a member of the Curry County Federated Republican Women and served as county chairperson for the Republican party. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible lessons. She married Orville Pattison in 1938. He died in 1977. She also was preceded in death by a son, Roger Pattison. Survivors include three sons, Hoyt Pattison and Lane Pattison, both of Clovis and Buell Pattison of Taos, N.M.; two daughters, Alice Linn Duncan of Seattle and Nora Jean Williams of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Mary Moore of Midland; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Vega had been a lifelong resident of Clovis until 1998. He moved to Odessa and had worked for Juanitos Restaurant in Portales. He married Nora Reyes in 1998 at Portales. Mrs. Boothby was born in Erick, Okla. She worked in the school cafeteria in Texhoma. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church. She married Eugene Leland "Dick" Boothby in 1937 at Clayton. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Rusty Turner of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two brothers, Wade Turner of Denver and Dean Turner of Greeley, Colo. The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Dr. Prewit was born in Stamford and lived in Borger 45 years. He was a Navy veteran. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1949 and from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston in 1953. He opened his medical practice in Borger in 1956. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice and the Hutchinson-Hansford County Medical Association. He was president of the local medical society. Dr. Prewit married Shirley Darroch in 1951 at Clifford, Ontario, Canada. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debrah Prewit of Corte Madera, Calif.; two sons, Craig Prewit of Midland and Blake Prewit of San Antonio; three brothers, Gene Prewit of Hamlin, Grover Prewit of Stamford and Jerry Prewit of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Francis Grissom of Stamford; and three granddaughters.
