Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Waterbury of the Full Gospel Church officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mrs. Snyder was born in Lehigh, Iowa, and moved to the area in 1994 from Los Angeles. She was a housewife. She married Lee Roy Snyder in 1949 at Pasadena, Calif. He died in 1998. Survivors include two sons, Mark Snyder of Anchorage, Alaska, and Grant Snyder of Roanoke, Va.; a daughter, April Garcia of Lewisville; a sister, Charlotte Munger of San Dimas, Calif.; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News Dec. 18, 2000 Jean Blank Williams PERRYTON - Jean Blank Williams, 80, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ochiltree Cemetery with the Rev. Robert D. Ford of Abilene officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born in Douglas, Wyo. A longtime resident of Perryton, she graduated from Perryton High School and worked as a secretary for Alpar Resources, formerly Allen and Allen. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Her husbands, Dean C. Blank and Lowell Williams, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Dewey Dean Blank of Detroit and Mike Blank of Perryton; two sisters, Virginia Steltzner of Springfield, Mo., and Libby Ford of Abilene; a brother, Bob Lynch of Midland; and a grandchild. Amarillo Daily News Dec. 18, 2000 Lois Duggan HEREFORD - Lois Duggan, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rose Chapel at Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. Duggan was born in Alba and moved to Deaf Smith County in 1944 from Abernathy. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Friona. Survivors include three daughters, Frances Suttle of Hereford, Vilma Brown of Walters, Okla., and Orene Smith of Arlington; a son, Willis Duggan of Hereford; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Dec. 18, 2000 Carl Totty Cantrell PAMPA - Carl Totty Cantrell, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Chapel at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors with the Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of First Baptist Church of Childress, and Dr. Derrell Monday, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery at Miami. Mr. Cantrell was born in Miami and was a lifetime resident of Roberts and Gray Counties. During World War II, he served with the Navy as a flight captain on the carrier aircraft units 5 and 65, based out of San Francisco. A member of Central Baptist Church, he retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1973. He married Vaneta Gray in 1986 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; three sons, C.E. Cantrell of San Antonio, Paul Cantrell of Staten Island, N.Y., and Ron Gray of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News Dec. 18, 2000 Audrey Irene Boles PLAINVIEW - Audrey Irene Boles, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in College Heights Baptist Church with Don Robertson, minister of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Boles was born in Powderly and moved to Plainview in 1946 from Lovington, N.M. After graduating from Wayland Baptist College, she worked as the Registrar. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. She married Walter Roy Boles in 1936 at Mount Pleasant. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Grace Carter of Fredericksburg; two sons, W.R. Boles of Borger and Claude Boles of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Dec. 18, 2000 Janet Elaine Stephens DUMAS - Janet Elaine Stephens, 50, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Temple Baptist Church, 311 N. Maddox, with the Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox. Mrs. Stephens was born and raised in Dumas. A homemaker, she was active in the Hillcrest Parent Teacher Association, chairperson for numerous committees and a volunteer for the Moore County Girl Scouts of America. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she taught kindergarten Sunday school class. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo before returning to Dumas. Her son, Brian Stephens, died in 1989. Her son, Greg Guy, died in 1993. She married Ed Stephens in 1971 at Dumas. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Keith Stephens of Amarillo and Jeff Stephens of Dumas; a sister, Carolyn Jameson of Dumas; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Grimes was born in Quay County, N.M., and moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Portales, N.M. She was a homemaker. She married Joe Grimes in 1952 at Portales. Her son, Gary Lynn Grimes, died in 1970. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gayla Jolene Carey of Amarillo; two sons, Terry G. Grimes of Amarillo and Leslie Dean Grimes of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Madge Anderson of Amarillo; two brothers, Bill McCathern of Palmetto, Fla., and Clifford McCathern of Washington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. After graduating with a degree in romance languages from the University of Louisville at Louisville, Ky., and later moving to Amarillo, she taught languages at Horace Mann and James Bowie middle schools. She taught adult Sunday school class at First Christian Church and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She married Francis S. Hauger in 1936. Survivors include her husband; a son, David Hauger of Boca Raton, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Martin of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Luke was born in Munger and moved to Amarillo in 1950. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union and the Pecos Valley Club. She married E.E. Luke in 1934 at Littlefield. He died in 1988. Her son, Dwane Luke, died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Dale Luke of McPherson, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Sorrel, 81, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Denver City Memorial Park by Ratliff Funeral Home. Mr. Sorrel was born in Vernon, Ill. A veteran of World War II, he moved to Denver City in 1949 and later retired as an operator for Shell Oil Co. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Faith Baptist Church. He married Faye Patterson in 1960 at Denver City. She died in 1997. Survivors include two stepdaughters, Paula Dollar and Helen Weaver, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Ethel Marteness of Washington, Ill., and Geraldine Kayahs of Decatur, Ill.; a brother, Marvin Sorrel of Mount Zion, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandchildren.
