Amarillo Daily News, July 18, 2000 Glen E. Grimm Glen E. "Brownie" Grimm, 91, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Gilbert, Ariz. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Claud Tugwell, minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mr. Grimm was born in Bartlesville, Okla. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo and a retired mason. He was a member of the Brick Mason's Union and was a Baptist. He married Ema Lou Hendricks in 1930 at Clovis. She died in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Rue Pohl of Reston, Va.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society. Amarillo Daily News, July 18, 2000 New Mexico A.R. Self CLOVIS, N.M. - A.R. "Reg" Self, 93, died Saturday July 15, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. L.C. Camp officiating. The casket will be closed. Burial will be in Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery at Farwell, Texas. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Self was born in Post, Texas. He graduated from Post High School, where he played on the football team. He received a football scholarship to play at what is now the University of Texas at Arlington. He worked for Standard Oil Company in Pecos and worked for a radio repair shop in Lubbock. In 1943 he moved to Clovis where he owned Self's Radio Sales and Service, later adding television to the store. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clovis, where he served as deacon since 1945. He was a member of the Rotary Club. He married Oleta Bilbrey in 1930 at Spur, Texas. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Doug Self of Carbondale, Colo., and Dudley Self of Clovis; a sister, Jewel Hancock of Midland; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News, July 18, 2000 Edna Dolezal CLOVIS, N.M. - Edna Spade Dolezal, 88, died Friday, July 14, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church chapel with the Rev. Doug Mills officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Dolezal was born in Clovis. She graduated from Clovis High School and attended West Texas State Teacher's College. She was a homemaker. She traveled the world with her husband and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and Chapter AB of the Professional Educators Organization. She married Adolph M. Dolezal in 1933 at Roswell. He died in 1981. Survivors include three nephews, John Michael DeFeo and John Andrew deGraauw, both of Baton Rouge, La., and Kevin Michael deGraauw of Albuquerque; and three nieces, Phyllis Ballow DeFeo of Baton Rouge and Debra DeFeo deGraauw and Jennifer Ann deGraauw, both of Placitas, N.M. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Amarillo Daily News, July 18, 2000 Milton Morris Webb CLOVIS, N.M. - Milton Morris Webb, 78, died Friday July 14, 2000, in Mesa, Ariz. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Mariposa Gardens Chapel in Mesa. Military interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, with the Rev. John Braten officiating. Arrangements are by Mesa Funeral Care at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa. Mr. Webb was born in Electra, Texas. He graduated from Amarillo High School. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. He lived in Clovis many years. He worked for Santa Fe Railway for 38 years, retiring in 1979. He and his wife were charter members of First Assembly of God in Clovis. He married Ruby Brown in 1941. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sharon Webb of Mesa, Beverly McCune of Arlington, Texas and Rebekah Braten of Clute, Texas; two sons, Randall Webb and Mark Webb, both of Mesa; two brothers, O.B. Webb of Meridian, Idaho, and Marvin Webb of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Mrs. Webb in care of her son, Mark Webb, at 7422 E. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church by the Rev. Sotero Sena. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Jaramillo was born in Anton Chico and moved in 1973 to Portales, where he worked for Smokey Ball as a farm laborer. In 1974 he moved to Clovis and worked for Santa Fe Railway. He was a past member of St. Helens Catholic Church and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Cordova; a daughter, Joann Fabela of Amarillo; a brother, Profecto Jaramillo of Clovis; two sisters, Betty Segura of Lubbock and Nela Romero of Hemet, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Harry officiating. Burial will be in the Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Mrs. Weeks was born in Grenville, N.M. She attended high school in Norman. She lived in Oklahoma City until 1945, when she and her husband moved to their farm east of Norman. In 1974 they returned to Oklahoma City. She was a member of Denver Baptist Church and active in Sunday school. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Norman Chapter No. 41, for more than 30 years. She married Neal S. Weeks in 1935 at Oklahoma City. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Peggy Gervais of Chino Hills, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Cawlfield was born on the Ralstin homestead north of Guymon. She attended Brown's Corner School. She married Fred William Cawlfield in 1946 at Liberal, Kan. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Teryl Cawlfield of Mead and Bradley Cawlfield of Guymon; two daughters, Koleta Scott of Guymon and Marquetti Ward of Denton, Texas; a sister, Irma Clemans of Guymon; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road, in Amarillo. Mr. Mullins was born in Normanna and lived in the Midland area 46 years. He worked for Continental Airlines for 37 years. Survivors include his wife, Louise Mullins of Amarillo; a son, Roger Mullins of Amarillo; two daughters, Carolyn Kime and April West, both of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Casey was born in Batesville, Ark. He moved with his family to Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where he attended school. He also lived in Chillicothe, Ill., and San Diego, Calif., where he completed his education. He lived in Amarillo 18 years. In 1998 he moved to Sioux Falls, where he worked in construction for D.E. Malik Plastering Co. Survivors include his mother, Catherine Casey-Bowen of Windsor, Colo.; his stepfather, Lloyd C. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Pipkin Mortuary, Chapel of Peace. Mr. Shaw was born in Hope, Ark. He attended Wayne High School at Linden, Texas. He lived in Amarillo 20 years, working at Glovers Packing Co. He worked as a glass cutter in Denver. Survivors include his wife, Pearlene Shaw of Denver; six children, Jamie Shaw of Amarillo, Erica Shaw of Lander, Wyo., James Briscoe, Mayola Briscoe, Brenda Briscoe, and Linda Briscoe, all of Denver; his mother, Jewel Shaw; four sisters, Francis Ann Aaron, Debra Ann Shaw, Velma J. Coleman and Mary Robertson, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Nathanial Shaw and Mickey Shaw, both of Amarillo and Charles Shaw of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Clarendon Church of Christ at Clarendon with Mike Suiter, minister of San Jacinto Church of Christ in Amarillo, Tim Walker, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ at Pampa, the Rev. Bryan Knowles, Baptist minister from Clarendon, and George Hayes, of Georgia, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. of Clarendon. Mr. Leeper was born in Groom and raised in Clarendon. He retired from the Army, where he served with the military police 22 years. He was a member of the Non-commissioned Officers Association and the 25th MP Organization. He lived in Colorado Springs, Colo. for six years before moving to Pampa five years ago. He was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. He married Lacreta Burgess in 1970 at Brice. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nika Roser of Shreveport, La.; a son, Neil Leeper of Pampa; his mother, Theola Leeper of Clarendon; his grandmother, Eunice Leeper of Clarendon; a sister, Nita Ellis of Clarendon; a brother, Mike Leeper of Littleton, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Nicolas Perez and Monsignor Joe Bixenman officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Cuellar was born in San Savos, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She moved to Hereford from Cotulla in 1957. She was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose, where she helped organized the Guadalupanas society in 1960 and was recognized as the oldest living member. She also was a Cursillistas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederico Cuellar. She also was preceded in death by a son, Matias Cuellar; and by three daughters, Delme Salas, Anita Cuellar and Leonore Berlanga. Survivors include a daughter, Aurora Garcia of Hereford; 10 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-greatgrandchildren. She married Posey Lee Burrell in 1942 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1977. Survivors include a son, P.L. Burrell Jr. of Fort Worth; two brothers, Al Williams of Amarillo and Jim A. Williams of Portales, N.M.; a sister, Florence Cofer of McLean; and nine grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice or First Assembly of God.
