Mr. Alexander was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1958. He worked for Joy Manufacturing in Buffalo, N.Y., and Seattle. He also worked for Washington Atomic Power Co. in Vancouver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pampa. He served in the 101st Airborne Division of the Rangers for the Army. Survivors include a daughter, Kristin D'Oca of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Chad Alexander of Kennewick, Wash., and Robert Brent Alexander of Vancouver; his mother, Johnnie Alexander of Pampa; a sister, Lora Baggerman of Pampa; a brother, Charles Alexander of Pampa; his former wife, Darla Alexander of Kennewick, Wash.; and two grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, July 20, 2000 Oma Barbee QUANAH - Oma Barbee, 99, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jesse Dea, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be at the Goodlett Cemetery by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Barbee was born in Little Rock, Ark. She moved to Hardeman County in 1906, living in the Friendship community until 1926, then to Goodlett and then to Quanah in 1985. She was a member of the Goodlett Methodist Church. She taught and helped with the building of three churches. Mrs. Barbee was a member of Women's Missionary Union, the Women's Society of Christian Services, a charter member of Quanah Senior Citizens and the Home Demonstration Club. She married Thomas Clyde Barbee in 1919 at Goodlett. He died in 1981. Survivors include two nephews, Leroy Brandon and Jerry Brandon, both of Quanah; and three nieces, Betty Ford of Quanah, Jean Golston of Ronks, Pa., and Margie Dale Alexander of Colorado Springs, Colo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Robertson was born in Spearman and was a lifetime resident. She was past chairperson of the Hansford County Historical Commission and was instrumental in compiling volumes of the Hansford County History Book, for which she received an award from the Chamber of Commerce. She was a genealogist and an historian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she volunteered at the church library. She married T. Ray Robertson in 1947 at Spearman. Survivors include her husband; a son, Danny Robertson of Midland; a daughter, Brenda Annen of Nazareth; a sister, Sybil Miller of Spearman; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Amarillo Daily News, July 20, 2000 Vernon Pratt PAMPA - Vernon Pratt, 51, died Friday, July 14, 2000 in Kunming, China. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Briarwood Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Pratt was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1967 and earned a bachelor's degree in business at West Texas State University in 1974, and his master's degree in finance in 1979. He served in the National Guard from 1971 to 1977. He had lived in Pampa for 18 years where he worked at both Cabot Corp. and IRI International. Mr. Pratt was a member of the Briarwood Full Gospel Church and a board member of the Pampa Youth and Community Center. He worked for the Celanese Corp. at Bishop before locating to Kunming, where he was deputy general manager of finance for the Celanese plant there. Survivors include a son, Joel Pratt of Arlington; a daughter, Marcy Molone of Ponca City, Okla.; his mother, Ethel Pratt of Panhandle; two sisters, Norma Thomason of Jacksonville, Fla., and Glenda Boothe of Panhandle; four grandchildren; and his former wife, Kathy Pratt of Corpus Christi. Templeton, 80, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Church of Christ with Fred Peters officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Templeton was born in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School in 1937. He was a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1940 to 1942, attaining the rank of sergeant. In 1946, he graduated from the University of Texas Law School. He served as Texas State Representative in the 50th Texas Legislature in 1947-48 and was the Collingsworth County judge. Mr. Templeton served as the Collingsworth County Attorney and practiced law in Wellington, retiring in 1994. He also authored a series of children's books under the pen name of Lee Templeton. He married Travis Tenison in 1943 at Wellington. He was preceded in death by a son, Pat Neff Templeton, in 1958. Survivors include his wife; a son, Lee Templeton of Amarillo; a sister, Lois Scott of Sulphur Springs; and two grandsons. The family suggests memorials be to the Wellington Cemetery Association. Mr. Money was born in Haskell and had been a resident of the Borger area for 60 years. He was a mechanic for Ray Boswell Paving Co. He had also worked as a farmer and cowboy in the Panhandle. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lee Money, in 1997. Survivors include four sons, Carl David Money of Fritch, Ben A. Money of North Port, Fla., Louis W. Money of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Jeff A. Money of Las Vegas; two daughters, Carolyn Hefner and Barbara Teague, both of Fritch; two brothers, Jessie Money of Denver and Lee Money of Dalton, Neb.; a sister, Martha Lou Ramsey of Compton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was a past member of the Southwest Alliance of Hearing and Healthcare Providers, Beltex, an international hearing society, and Texas Hearing Aide Association. She died in 1991.
