Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Laurence Cathedral Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Ramos was born in Kearns City. She moved to Amarillo from Dimmitt in 1964. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Laurence Cathedral Catholic Church. She married Manuel Ramos in 1945. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Manuel Ramos Jr. and Robert Ramos, both of Amarillo, and Daniel Ramos of Hereford; eight daughters, Matilda, Mary Lou, Genny, Mary, Connie and Rebecca, all of Amarillo and Rosa and Teresa, both of Dimmitt; two brothers, Pedro Maldonado of Amarillo and Joe Maldonado of San Antonio; a sister, Guadalupe Munoz of San Antonio; 31 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Alston was born in American Falls, Idaho, and had lived in Amarillo since 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Assembly of God. She married John Alston in 1929 at American Falls. He died in 1961. Survivors include five sons, Richard "Dick" Alston and Dan Alston, both of Plano, Virgil Alston of Park City, Utah, David Alston of Dickinson and Steve Alston of Bedford; three daughters, Helen Johnson of Brice, Marge Milner of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Carol Jowell of Hereford; a brother, Dale Bolton of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Helen Altmyer of Mesa; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 20, 2000 New Mexico Andres G. Trujillo MOSQUERO, N.M. - Andres G. "Tito" Trujillo, 84, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2000. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. Guy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Mosquero Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Trujillo was born in Mosquero. He operated his own business and was a rural mail carrier. He had served as mayor of Mosquero. He also served on the Mosquero school board and was Harding County commissioner. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dominga M. Trujillo, in 1993. Survivors include four daughters, Rachel Saint of Milpitas, Calif., Rita Lind of Albuquerque, Theresa Copeland of Wheeler and Elizabeth Trujillo of Santa Fe; eight sons, Andres "Andy" Trujillo of Tucumcari, Eddie Trujillo of Brush, Colo., Richard Trujillo of Thoreau, Freddie Trujillo of Cimarron and Joseph Trujillo, Jacob Trujillo, Raymond Trujillo and Thomas Trujillo, all of Mosquero; two sisters, Victoria Sisneros of Pueblo, Colo., and Lucia Gray of Duncan, Okla.; a brother, Nestor Trujillo of Bernalillo; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 20, 2000 Oklahoma Bobby Dale Pieratt GUYMON, Okla. - Bobby Dale "Bob" Pieratt, 70, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor, and the Rev. Don Calvert, pastor of Hardesty United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Pieratt was born in Gate. He graduated from Guymon High School in 1945 and from Panhandle A&M in Goodwell. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. Making his home in Guymon, he became involved in real estate. He was a partner in Remmell Real Estate and later was owner and broker of Bob Pieratt Real Estate. He was past president of the Guymon Chamber of Commerce and the Guymon Ambassadors. He served two terms on the city council and was a board member of the Panhandle Area Sheltered Workshop. In 1993, he served as president of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors. He was named the F. Hiner Dale Citizen of the Year in 1987 and Oklahoma Realtor of the Year in 1997. He married Ginger Scott in 1954 at Guymon. Mr. Pieratt was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Gayle Pieratt. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Becky Pieratt James of Stillwater; a son, Kelly Scott Pieratt of Pueblo, Colo.; five sisters, Wanda Grider, JoAnne Harris and Kay Morrison, all of Guymon, Jeanne Doyle of Phoenix and Judy Watson of Eldorado, Kan.; three brothers, Kelly Pieratt of Longview, Texas, Billy Pieratt of Liberal, Kan., and Jim Pieratt of Guymon; and five grandchildren. She had lived in Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas and Texas before moving to Bartlesville in 1987. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Twentieth Century Sunday school class. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Connie Trotter and Tonie Ball, both of Littlefield and Dee Dee Baker of Abilene; her father, Ernest Goforth and his wife, Marie, of Earth; a brother, Max Goforth of Hereford; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She had served on the boards of Ridgewood Country Club Women's Golf Association and the Cotillion. She was a member of the Waco Junior League and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Dryden, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Anne Dryden Boyce of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 20, 2000 Outa Lois Williams OGDEN, Utah - Outa Lois Martin Williams, 97, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000. Services were held Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, in Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary. Entombment at Good Shepherd Abbey Mausoleum at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park. Mrs. Williams was born in Royse City, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo before moving to Ogden in 1992 and later to Terrace. She earned a degree from West Texas Teachers College in 1924 and taught until 1928. She also taught and trained food service managers in Amarillo. She retired in 1987. Mrs. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo and had served as a leader and teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter No. 14 in Ogden and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Iris Court No. 47 in Salt Lake City. She married Alex Rodney Williams in 1927 at Amarillo. He died in 1969. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Jane Williams Pontius Schooley Wilcoxon of Ogden; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 20, 2000 Area Morris W. Stephens TURKEY - Morris W. Stephens, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Clinton, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in East Mound Cemetery at Matador. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mr. Stephens was born in Matador. He graduated from Matador High School in 1943. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the "Burma Road Campaign," with a group named Merrill's Marauders. He was a rodeo producer and was later in the cattle ranching business. Six years ago, he moved from Whiteflat community near Matador to Turkey, where he operated a leathercraft business. Mr. Stephens was a bluegrass and western swing musician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Turkey. He married Irene "Sis" Rumsey in 1972 at Motley County. He was preceded in death by a son, Monte Dale Stephens, in 1991. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, SeReatha Stephens Henry of Austin, Shonda Martin of Clarendon and Sherry White of Sheridan, Ark.; three sons, Jack Lyons of Turkey and Matt Lyons and Luke Lyons, both of Cherokee, Okla.; a sister, Elva Brandon of Friona; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He attended schools in Plainview and Kress, graduating from Kress High School in 1972. He was a self-employed roofing contractor and was a foster parent. He was a member of the Good News Church. He served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II. He moved to Floydada from Hereford in 1949. He retired in 1986 as assistant manager for Lighthouse Electric. He was past president of the Lion's Club in Floydada. He organized and was past president of the Whirlwinds Sams Chapter of the Good Sams Club. He was a deacon and a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Weathersbee married Frances Harrell in 1977 at Floydada.
