Mrs. Patterson was born in Indian Territory and had lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Alewine of Amarillo; a son, Ray Hobbs of Amarillo; a brother, Alvin Ward of Memphis; and a sister, Lottie Horton of Memphis; eight grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, April 21, 2000 Mary Margaret Hall Mary Margaret "Gramy" Hall, 89, of Amarillo and formerly of Phoenix, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Gregory's Catholic Church at Phoenix. Private burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery at Phoenix. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Hall was born in Oklahoma City. She lived in Phoenix for 60 years before moving to Amarillo in October. She married Anthony Carl Hall in 1928 at Oklahoma City. They owned Tony Hall's Sporting Goods in Phoenix. Mr. Hall died in 1960. She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Phoenix and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Amarillo. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Greener of Amarillo; two sons, Albert C. Hall of Tucson, Ariz., and Donald E. Hall of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels at BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176. Amarillo Daily News, April 21, 2000 Jessie B. Ivery Jessie B. Ivery, 80, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James M. Mims, pastor, and the Rev. Sammie Ivery, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Mr. Ivery was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He had served in the military during World War II and was recipient of two Bronze Star medals. He was a retired employee of the Pantex plant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pecolia. Survivors include eight children, Flora Caswell, Justine Ivery and Tony Ivery, all of Amarillo, Ronnie Ivery and Linda Hughes, both of Fort Smith, Ark., Dr. Curtis Ivery of Detroit, Mable Wilson of Atlanta, Texas and Mealie Parker of Douglasville; 20 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Billington was born in Morton. He had lived in Artesia for the past 23 years. He worked as a pumper in an oil field. He was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Brittany Billington of Roswell; his father, Dink Billington of Artesia; three sisters, Shirley Peden of Roswell, Sandra Trotter of Artesia and Glenda Ewing of Hobbs; four brothers, Billy Shipp of Albuquerque, Larry Billington of Cahoma, Texas, Sam Billington of Farmington and Danny Billington of Jal. Amarillo Daily News, April 21, 2000 Oklahoma Pauline McNabb HOOKER, Okla. - Pauline "Polly" McNabb, 87, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Guymon. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kim Alan Domnick officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. Saturday in Good Hope Cemetery near Helena with Dean Holt, pastor of Helena Nazarene Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. McNabb was born in Helena. She lived in Lefors, Texas, before moving to Hooker in 1949. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She married Herschel S. McNabb in 1931 at Enid. He died in 1958. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Irene Hopkins of Guymon; two sons, John Edward McNabb of Duncan and Bruce Dale McNabb of Bedford, Texas; a sister, Hazel Ross of Ringwood; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Hooker Ambulance Association; or the Hooker Volunteer Fire Department. Memorials may be left at the funeral home. Amarillo Daily News, April 21, 2000 Elsewhere Vaughn D. Hill WICHITA FALLS - Vaughn D. Hill, 82, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Allen, pastor, and the Rev. John Dillard, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Stratford Cemetery at Stratford by Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Mr. Hill was born in Lipscomb County. He had worked for Ford Motor Co. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and in the Air force during the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. In 1971, he retired as chief master sergeant and moved to Wichita Falls. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge; the Retirees Activity Center at Sheppard Air Force Base; and the Sheppard Air Force Association. He had also served as retiree representative at Sheppard Air Force Base hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church; Kay Bible Class; and the Intentional Caring Unit. He married Mary Styles in 1940. He later married Elsie Pearl Spurlock in 1959 at Sunray. She died in 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Kubeczka of Lufkin, Dianna Gwyn of Santa Fe, N.M., and Alvina Smith of Wichita Falls; a son, Keith Vaughn Hill of Wichita Falls; his stepmother, Mable Inez Hill of Dalhart; a brother, Lynn Hill of Dalhart; a sister Elva Reeves of Dalhart; and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Boedeker was born in Collin. She moved to Aiken in 1920. She farmed with her husband and was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Providence Community. She married Charlie Theodore Boedeker in 1934 at Lockney. He died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Terry Boedeker of Quitaque; a daughter, Janice Boedeker of Encinitas, Calif.; two sisters, Ermis Goble of Lubbock and Brycie Dalton of Wolfforth; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Craig was born in Sparta. She was a nursing student in Plainview before moving to Fort Worth in 1943. She returned to Plainview in 1957 and lived there until 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview. She was a resident of Stephenville at the time of her death. She married Jim Craig in 1928 at Plainview. He died in 1980. She also was preceded in death by a son, the Rev. James Pat Craig, in 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Akins of Eastland; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She married Kenneth Niles in 1940 at Woodward, Okla. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Franklin Niles, in 1984. Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Joe Niles of Bowie and Philip Warren Niles of Borger; two daughters, Kathy Ann Sheets and Mary Susan Trahern, both of Borger; a brother, Howard Tilton of Wichita Kan.; two sisters, Georgia Custer of Logan, Okla., and Dora Jean Hill of Hereford; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Irons had lived in the Memphis area for most of her life. She was a school teacher and member of the First Baptist Church. Elkins, 51, formerly of Memphis, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Dallas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Travis Baptist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery by Williams Funeral Directors of Garland. Mr. Elkins was born in Fort Worth. He had lived in Memphis for 14 years and had owned and operated a Phillips 66 and Conoco service station. He was a member of the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Elkins of Garland; and a daughter, Kimberly Nicole Elkins of Garland. The body will be available for viewing today at Memphis Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Muleshoe Church of Christ with Dick Marcear of Central Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Stansell was born in Frederick, Okla. She had lived in Earth since 1953 and moved to Muleshoe in 1984. She was a member of the Women's Quartet for the Lions Club and sang for Lions Clubs in Oklahoma. She had been a houseparent for Tipton Children's Home in Tipton. She was the Springlake / Earth school cafeteria supervisor and a member of the Muleshoe Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter; Peggy Dent of Muleshoe; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gupton moved from Memphis to Muleshoe in 1955. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Connie Gupton in 1922 at Hall County. He died in 1990. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lynn Gunstream. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Gunstream of Muleshoe and Danny Gunstream of Shreveport, La.; a sister, Mary Lampkin of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
