Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Vega United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johna Campbell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega by Vega Funeral Home, 110 S. Main. Mrs. Hodges was born in Wilton, Ark., and had lived in Vega for 48 years. She received a bachelor's degree in business from North Texas State University at Denton. She attended Vega United Methodist Church. She married Billie C. Hodges in 1947 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Chris Hodges and Jerry Hodges, both of Hereford; and five grandchildren. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at the Billie Hodges residence south of Vega and suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, c/o BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001; or Memorial Park Cemetery, P.O. Box 496, Vega, TX 79092. QUANAH - Zada Lee Braziel, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Quanah Memorial Park by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Braziel was born in Quanah, where she was a lifetime resident. She was a homemaker. She married Cleatus Haden Braziel in 1932 at Altus, Okla. He died in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Davidson of Quanah; two sons, Richard Braziel of Quanah and W.R. Braziel of Kaufman; two sisters, Zinnie Darrow of Hot Springs, Ark., and Mamie Lytle of Wichita Falls; two brothers, W.T. Green of Wichita Falls and Carl Green of Denver City; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hardeman County Historical Museum. DUMAS - Maria Martinez, 74, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Directors Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Scully, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. Martinez was born in Mexico and was a longtime resident of Dumas. She was a homemaker and a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She married Estanislado Martinez in 1971 at El Paso. He died in 1999. Survivors include three sons, Stanley Martinez of Amarillo, Henry Martinez of Lafayette, La., and Edward Martinez of Oakland, Calif.; a daughter, Mary Inez of California; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. MULESHOE - Maria "Lupita" Olmos, 19, of Lariat, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Augustine of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Miss Olmos was born in Jimenez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to the Lariat area 12 years ago. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Youth Organization. Survivors include her parents, Lupe and Maria Olmos of Lariat; two sisters, Jovita Anzaldua of Austin and Eli Olmos of Lariat; three brothers, Guerrero Olmos, Luis Alberto Olmos and Alex Olmos, all of Lariat; and grandmothers, Elena Barraza and Cesaria Quezada, both of Mexico. The family suggests memorials be to Southwest Cancer Center, 602 Indiana, Lubbock, TX 79415; or Children's Miracle Network, P.O. Box 5980, Lubbock, TX 79408. CHILDRESS - Ronald Van McCoy, 59, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Assembly of God with the Rev. Clyde Fulfer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. McCoy was born in Childress, where he was a lifetime resident. A floral designer, he worked for a florist and as a mechanic for the Childress Independent School District. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. He married Jolene King in 1960 at Childress. His daughter, Christi Diane McCoy, died in 1991. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Connie Cameron of Childress; a sister, Carolyn Prescott of Childress; and a grandchild. MIAMI - Ray Sylvester Weckesser, 88, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, in Pampa. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Miami Cemetery with Jack Gindorf, lay minister of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Weckesser was born in Miami. A farmer in the Panhandle area, he lived in Happy and Spearman before returning to Miami in 1985. He was a member of First Christian Church in Miami. He married Alta Burton in 1937. She died in 1968. Survivors include a brother, Elmer Weckesser of Hamilton, Mont.; and two sisters, Florence Dodson of Pampa and Sybil Wade Perry of Hamlin. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, TX 79065. FELT, Okla. - Velma Laura Harris, 89, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, in Boise City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Felt United Methodist Church with Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. CST in Campo Cemetery at Campo, Colo. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Harris was born in Arlington, Kan. She married Ottis Boydstun in 1928 at Lamport, Colo. He died in 1938. She married George Harris in 1944 at Boise City. He died in 1988. Survivors include two sons, Bob Boydstun of Campo and Bill Boydstun of Felt; a daughter, Dorothy Guymon of McAllen, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Felt Community Center and may be left in care of Cimarron Mortuary.
