Mrs. Woodson was born in Hall County. She attended Gilpin schools in rural Hall County. She moved to Hamlin in January from San Angelo. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. She was a former Amarillo resident and a past member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo. She married Odell Rawls in 1939 at Memphis. He died in 1966. She married Harold Woodson in 1969. He also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Larry Rawls of Hamlin and Kennith Rawls of Amarillo; a brother, Lewis Harper of Amherst; two sisters, Mozelle Spruill and Jenny Fowler, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Floral Hills Cemetery at Lynnwood. Arrangements are by Solie Funeral Home in Everett. Mr. Pyles was born in Kansas. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a longtime Amarillo resident and had worked at P.K. Supply in Amarillo. He moved to Seattle in 1969. He married Juanita Phillips in 1940 at Denison, Texas. Survivors include his wife; eight children, all of Seattle; five brothers; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, April 22, 2000 Elwood Marcus Larson EL PASO - Elwood Marcus Larson, 56, died Thursday, April 20, 2000. Mr. Larson had lived in El Paso for 25 years. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and had worked with the Border Patrol and U.S. Customs. He was a ham radio operator. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 36; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8919; the Wallace Houston Lodge; and the Shrine Temple Pilot. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Adams officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery at Meade, Kan. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mr. Carter grew up on the family farm, south of Plains, Kan. He graduated from high school in 1936 at Anthony, Kan. He worked in California during the Depression and then worked at Boeing in Wichita, Kan. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He moved to Guymon in 1957. He installed storm doors and windows with Panhandle Weather Creating. He was golf superintendent at Sunset Hills Golf Course and helped develop the course. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mr. Carter married Farrell Clements in 1942. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sue Ann Lindrud of Tulsa, Joleen Mahaney and Shawn Gifford, both of Oklahoma City, and Julie Lambley of Guymon; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
