Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Beverly Cook and the Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Bohanan was born in Eva, Okla. He had lived in the Spearman area since 1958 moving from Texas County, Okla. He had worked for Northern Natural Gas (Enron) until 1987. After his retirement, he worked as a contract pump operator until his death. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He married Myrtle Ruth Davis in 1949 at Clayton, N.M. She died in 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Scroggs and Beverly Antalek, both of Spearman; two sisters, Annice Dowlen of Amarillo and Vera Hill of Trophy Club; two brothers, Haskell Bohanan of Guymon, Okla., and Guymon Bohanan of Liberal, Kan.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Gary Jahnel, pastor of Mobeetie Methodist Church, and Donald Hill, of Canadian, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mrs. Pitcock was born in Higgins. She was raised in Glazier and attended school in Canadian. She had lived in Lubbock and Pampa before returning to Canadian in April. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and had helped the elderly since 1966. Mrs. Pitcock was a registered massage therapist and had worked for the Outreach Home Health Services in Pampa and Lubbock. She was a volunteer at the Abraham Memorial Home. She married Carl Ray "Jasper" Snyder in 1956 at Glazier. He died in 1966. She married Carrel Wayne Pitcock in 1967 at Canadian. Survivors include three daughters, Lina Ann "Possum" Jahnel of Canadian; Eddie Parker of Woodward, Okla., and Jackie Swisher of Owasso, Okla.; a son, Jodie Pitcock of Lacona, Iowa; four sisters, Margaret Dowdy of Pampa, Joan Stovall of San Marcos, Mary Hart of White Deer and Sandra Griffin of Alvin; three brothers, Walter Wright, Jack Wright and Larry Wright, all of Canadian; and eight grandchildren. "Chuck" Braafladt, 57, died Friday, July 21, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor, and the Rev. Vernon O'Kelley, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Foskey-Lilley-McGill. Mr. Braafladt was born in San Jose, Calif. He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1961. He attended West Texas State University, was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, and earned a business degree. He was commissioned through the ROTC as a 2nd lieutenant in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he served as company commander. He retired after 32 years from the Army Reserves as a lieutenant colonel and had earned several medals, including the Bronze Star. Mr. Braafladt was owner and vicepresident of Braafladt Transport Co. in Dimmitt. He was past president of the Dimmitt Jaycees, Dimmitt Lions Club and the Castro County Recreation Association. He was past vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and president of the Methodist Men. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt and the choir. He married Patricia Pryor in 1964 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tiffany Braafladt-Bale of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Charles Todd Braafladt of Dallas and Charles Christian Braafladt of Austin; his parents, Louis C. and Helen Braafladt of Dimmitt; and two sisters, Jill McLean of Dimmitt and Joan Craig of Austin. Mrs. Thomas was born in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School in 1952. She was a retired nurse and had worked at Collingsworth General Hospital. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Thomas, in 1983. Survivors include a son, Pat Thomas of Wellington; a daughter, Phyllis Killian of Wellington; a brother, Robert Patrick of Wellington; former husband, J.W. Christian Jr. John R. Christian Jr., 76, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000. Services were Friday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Burial was in Memory Gardens by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Christian was born in Dalhart. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union Local No. 665. He was a member of the Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He married Maurine Peden in 1942 at Clayton, N.M. She died in 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Molly Heard of Dallas; a son, Randy Christian of Lubbock; a sister, Loretta Snyder of Amarillo; two brothers, Albert Christian of Canadian and Ira Christian of Waurika, Okla.; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Sartain was born in Clayton, N.M. She moved to Amarillo in 1956, and then to Burnet in 1990. She returned to Amarillo in 1997. She had worked as a pink lady at the Burnet Hospital. She worked at Diamond Shamrock / Maxxus, and worked parttime at Rector Funeral Home in Amarillo. She was a member of Burnet Baptist Church and attended First Assembly of God in Canyon. She married Homer Sartain at Clayton in 1952. He died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Scott Sartain of Austin; two sisters, Allene McNew Callis of Sedan, N.M., and Glenna Meadows of Phoenix; and four brothers, Wyman Haisten of Clayton, L.R. In 1931, she graduated from West Texas School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Northwest Texas Hospital and was a nurse for the Amarillo Independent School District until retiring in 1973. She was among the first residents of Park Place Towers in 1986 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Harveyann Clubb of Amarillo and Jane Bryant of Houston; a son, Roger Turner of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Mr. Clifford was a past member of the Quinlan City Council, the Quinlan Lions Club and the Tawakoni Area Library Board. He was a Baptist. He married Wilma Jean Clifford.
