Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with the Rev. John Gran, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites rendered by Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Stewart was born in Clarksville and lived in Borger 70 years. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a shift supervisor for 40 years at Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a member and elder at First Christian Church and received the Elder Emeritus Award, the highest honor given by the church to a lay person. He was a past Master of Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242; was a 32nd Degree, Scottish Rite Mason in El Paso; and was a past Patron of the Borger Chapter No. 811 of the Order of the Eastern Star. He married Frances Watson in 1941 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Stewart of San Antonio; a daughter, Delma Ann Andress of Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Anna Ruth Garland of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Masons will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Isom Masonic Lodge No. 1242. DUMAS - Katy Reed, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000. Graveside services will be at noon Friday in Greenwood Memorial Park at Fort Worth. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reed was born in Throckmorton. She attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. She was a longtime Fort Worth resident and lived in Dumas and Amarillo the past nine years. She was a homemaker and a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She had been a church and school volunteer. She married Garth W. Reed in 1939 at Wichita Falls. He died in 1976. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Vegas of Friendswood and Carolyn Clouse of Montgomery, Ala.; a son, Jim Reed of Dumas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. TULIA - Ysidro Carrasco, 85, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, in Plainview. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today in the Church of the Holy Spirit by the Rev. John Salazar Jimenez. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carrasco was born and raised in Presidio. He moved to Tulia in 1968. He worked for Roll-A-Cone, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. He married Elvira Guerrero in 1939 in Mexico. She died in 1986. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Santiago Carrasco and Armando Carrasco, both in 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Eduvijes "Vicki" Rey of Tulia, Manuela Subaldea of Hugoton, Kan., and Cruz Rey of Midland; four sons, Emiterio Carrasco of Plainview, Salome Carrasco and Martin Carrasco, both of Tulia, and Hipolito Carrasco of Midland; 47 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. FRIONA - Ida Marie Roden, 89, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Friona Cemetery with the Rev. Don Boren officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Roden was born in Haskell County. She moved to Friona in 1929 from Haskell County. She was a member of Friona United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Ralph Roden in 1933 at Clovis, N.M. They owned Bi-Wise Drug Store from 1962 to 1980. He died in 1982. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Baker, in 1990. The family suggests memorials be to Prairie Acres, 201 E. 15th St., Friona, TX 79035. MEMPHIS - Minnie Orah Richards, 74, formerly of Memphis, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, in Gordonville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in United Pentecostal Church of Memphis with the Rev. James Burks of Mount Pleasant officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Richards was born in Memphis and lived in Gordonville 24 years. She had been a nurse's aide. She married John E. Richards in 1943 at Memphis. She was preceded in death by a son, John L. Richards. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda Perritt of Carrollton; three sons, Lonnie Richards of Spring, Lawrence Richards of Baton Rouge, La., and Gary Richards of Gordonville; a brother, Samuel L. Bradley of Pampa; a sister, Billie Jo Dyer of Chickasha, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. SILVERTON - Ora Lee Isbell, 87, formerly of Silverton, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, in Albuquerque, N.M. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. today in Silverton Cemetery with Ted Kingery officiating. Arrangements are by Myers Long Funeral Directors. Mrs. Isbell was born in Briscoe County. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was living in Albuquerque at the time of her death. She married Andy Isbell in 1934. He died in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Robert Lee Isbell of Grand Junction, Colo., and Glen Isbell of Cimarron, N.M.; a daughter, Charlene Isbell of Albuquerque; a sister, Eunice Townley of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Helen M. Holcomb, 78, of Amarillo, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Travis LaDuke, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Holcomb was born in Soldiers Grove, Wis. In 1952 she moved from Soldiers Grove to Amarillo. She was a charter member of North Amarillo Christian Church. She married Lester C. Holcomb in 1946. He died in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy King of Amarillo; a brother, Paul Felton of Belvidere, Ill.; a sister, Buelah Fowell of Richland Center, Wis.; and two grandchildren. ODESSA - Gracie Allene Frazier, 70, formerly of Odessa, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, in Bridgeport. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Hugh Akin officiating. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Frazier was born in Munday. She moved to Odessa in the mid-1950s from Midland. She was a legal secretary in the law offices of Paul McCullom before her retirement. She was a Baptist. She married Grady Frazier Jr. in 1953. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Frazier. Survivors include a son, Grady Frazier III of Lubbock; her mother, Ollie Stone of Chico; three sisters, Sherry Manning of Chico, Barbara Akin of Amarillo and Betty Willis of Oregon; and three grandsons. MOSQUERO, N.M. - Cornelia Vigil, 91, formerly of Mosquero, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, in Amarillo. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. CDT Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Amarillo by Deacon Hector Gallegos. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. CDT today in the church in Amarillo by the Rev. Hector Madrigal and the Rev. Rosendo Herrera. Another Mass will be at 11 a.m. MDT Thursday in Mosquero High School Gymnasium by the Rev. John Brasher and Deacon Edward Olona. Burial will be in Mosquero Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle in Amarillo. Mrs. Vigil was born in Mosquero. She lived there until moving to Amarillo 15 months ago. She was a homemaker. She married Ignacio Vigil in 1927 at Gallegos. He died in 1980. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Carmelita Vigil and Irene Vigil; and by two sons, Petronilio Vigil and Gilbert Vigil. Survivors include four daughters, Eva Ramirez of El Paso, Texas, Betsy Cordova of Amarillo, Charlotte Martinez of San Jon and Carmen Ruiz of Clovis; four sons, Petronilio Vigil and Ignacio Vigil Jr., and Fernando Vigil, all of Amarillo and Ralph Vigil of Mosquero; two brothers, Margarito Garcia and Adolfo Garcia, both of Mosquero; three sisters, Alice Garcia of Hobbs and Maggie Pacheco and Dora Garcia, both of Mosquero; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Center Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Seymour, minister, and the Rev. Gay Welborn, pastor of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Bell was born in Rana. She lived most of her life in Las Cruces, Portales, Elida, Roswell, Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She also lived in Santiago, Chile, and Anchorage, Alaska. She and her husband moved in 1987 to a ranch northeast of Tucumcari. She was a secretary and worked for the New Mexico Co-Operative Extension Services, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management and the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service. She attended Center Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Bell; a daughter, Dixie Heckendorn of Tucumcari; a son, Mack Bell of Corona; a sister, Joy Moon of McAlister; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
