Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Pierce was born and raised in Plainview. He attended Plainview schools. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1953. After his discharge he worked for Byron Jackson Pumps, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his longtime friend, Helen Johnson of Plainview; four daughters, Florence Gail Keiser of Plainview, Linda Kay Pierce of Arlington, Patricia Ann Jones of Hubbard and Karen Rose NeSmith of Wortham; three sons, Rickey Lynn Pierce of Childress, Charles Ray Pierce of Hubbard and Johnny Lee Pierce of Plainview; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 23, 2000 Lottie Modena Hill HEDLEY - Lottie Modena "Dean" Hill, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Dallas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Hedley with the Rev. Bruce Howard, pastor, and the Rev. Wallace Clay officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Hill was born in Hedley and was a lifelong resident of Donley County. She was a homemaker and member of Hedley Senior Citizens Association and First Baptist Church. She married Estil J.T. "Red" Hill in 1945 at Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and by a daughter, Weada Carrolyn Hill. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sue Pinkerton of Dallas and Neva Jane Lewis of Quanah; a sister, Wauline Jones of Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 23, 2000 Era Coleman Foust MORTON - Era Coleman Foust, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Jackson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Morton. Mrs. Foust was born in Cullman, Ala., and moved to Morton in 1935 from Childress. She attended Wayland University and Howard Payne College. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She married W.L. Foust in 1986 at Mineral Wells. Her first marriage was to A.R. "Red" Coleman in 1936 at Morton. He died in 1976. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ronald of Morton, Mickey and Richard, both of Lubbock and Bill of Plainview; a daughter, Donna Coleman of Oklahoma City; her twin sister, Veral Tennant of Artesia and sisters, Nell Buchman of Cullman, and Polly Morris of Cloudcroft, N.M.; three brothers, Vernon Foust of Cullman, Virgil Foust of Atlanta and Hubert Foust of Mineral Wells; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. "Junior" Burton, 74, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Doug Cherry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Burton was born in King Mills, Ohio. He served in the Army during World War II. In 1951 he moved to Amarillo from Branch Hill, Ohio. He retired in 1986 as a machinist at Pantex. He was a Mason and a member of the Khiva Shrine Drum and Bugle Corps and Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. He married Roberta Lohr in 1946 at King Mills. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judi Whittdon of Amarillo; two sons, Gary Burton and Larry Burton, both of Amarillo; a sister, Gennie Lee Cherry of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Mount Moriah Cemetery at Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Dobbe was born in Sedalia, Mo. She worked in real estate for 20 years and owned her own real estate company for five years. She was a member of Republican Women and Unity Church. She married Roy Lee Dobbe in 1940 at Kansas City. He died in 1985. Survivors include three sons, Bill Dobbe of Amarillo, Dan Dobbe of Sachse and Chris Dobbe of Austin; a brother, Robert Stottle of Huntsville, Ala.; and five grandchildren. She was a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church. She married Don Miller in 1946 at Wellington, Kan. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carol J. Miller of Amarillo and Cindy Gin of Mesquite; a son, Monte R. Miller of Comfort; a sister, Anna Mae Bowyer of Roanoke, Va.; three brothers, Albert Utt of Winfield, Ernest Utt of Decatur, Ill., and George Utt of Plymouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Ashley was born in Melrose where he was a lifetime resident. He was a farmer and rancher. He served as a Navy Seabee. He was a member of Melrose Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ashley; two sons, Craig D. Ashley of Melrose and Chad E. Ashley of Etters, Pa.; a daughter, Cathy S. Riley of Melrose; two sisters, Lois Lesley of Clovis and Velma Reed of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 23, 2000 Elsewhere Jeannie Mast ESCONDIDO, Calif. - Jeannie "Patty" Mast, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000. Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, in McLeod Mortuary Chapel. Arrangements included cremation. Mrs. Mast was born in Amarillo and had lived in Escondido five years. She was a senior clerk for San Diego County Health and Human Services. Survivors include two sons, Rocky Mast of Escondido and Bobby Mast of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Ednajo Frieman of Escondido; her father, Charles Betty of Amarillo; a brother, Howard Rollins of Escondido; a sister, Paula Martin of El Paso, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
