Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Dickey was born in Newton County, Ark. Before moving to Borger in 1986, he lived in Harrison, Ark., and Phillips. He was a member of Church of Christ of Borger. He married Ruth Canady in 1940 at Harrison. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald Dickey of Hurst, Eddy Dickey of Lakeside City and Joe Dickey of Borger; two sisters, Carole Barney of Foley, Ala., and Vivian Eddings of Claremore, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News Jan. 24, 2000 Jack Ussery RALLS - Jack Ussery, 84, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, in Lubbock. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Bartley, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Spur Cemetery in Spur. Mr. Ussery was born in Afton and moved to Ralls in 1959 from Idalou. He had lived in Hereford, Haskell, Canyon and Spur. He owned Ussery Appliance Company and had worked for Cox Furniture and in maintenance for the Ralls School system. Mr. Ussery was preceded in death by two granddaughters; a grandson; and a great-great-grandson. He married Leva George in 1937 at Frankston. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Ussery of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Jowanna Martin of Littlefield, Lois Hurni of Abilene, Helen Yarbrough of Canyon, Charlene Edwards of Paris, Texas, and Betty McCutchen of Ralls; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Armstrong Chapel in Claude with the Rev. Synott M. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Norman, Okla. Mrs. Matthews lived in Amarillo for 44 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Caprock Baptist Church. Her husband, Synott Matthews, died in 1969. Her daughter, Willa Dean Love, died in 1997. Her daughter, Donna Lee Matthews, died in 1950. Survivors include a daughter, Delores Wilson of Washburn; two sons, the Rev. Synott M. Matthews of Mangum, Okla., and Dr. Marvin Ray Matthews of Papya, New Guinea; two sisters, Jean Hooper and Mava Faulkner, both of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Bob Yoachum of Prague, Okla., Herbert Yoachum of Tucson, Ariz., and George Yoachum of Norman, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Guillermo Morales, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born in Santa Rosa, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1979, she moved to Canadian from Alva, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Francisco Vasquez in Mexico. He died in 1951. She married Nemorio Garcia in 1976 at Waynoka, Okla. He died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Jose Vasquez of Canadian; five daughters, Tasha Nutter of Waynoka, Julia Zaragoza of Roswell, N.M., Petra Vasquez of San Francisco del Rincon, Mexico, and Juana Cervantes and Ana Cervantes, both of Canadian; two sisters, Francisca Lopez and Antonia Lopez, both of Mexico; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and seven greatgreat-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home. Mrs. Stubblefield was born in Amarillo. She married R. Earl Stubblefield in 1932 at Clovis, N.M., and they moved from Groom to McLean, where they opened Stubblefield Dry Goods and Ready-To-Wear Store. She was a charter member of the Progressive Study Club, a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, and a Past Mother Adviser of Rainbow Girls. She was a member of the Pioneer Study Club, United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday School at the Polk Street Methodist Church in Amarillo. In 1955, she was named Texas Future Homemakers of America Mother. Her husband preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stubblefield; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Gail Light of Lake Tanglewood and Laura June Close of McLean; a son, Robert "Bob" Stubblefield of Bryan; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Moffett CLARENDON - Curtis W. Moffett, 78, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, in Claude. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Martin Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Moffett was born in and was a lifetime resident of Clarendon. He was an Army veteran and a member of Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7782. He was a farmer until his retirement. He was a Baptist. He married Oleta Koontz in 1943 at Clarendon. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cheryl Phillips of Clarendon; two sons, Lyndel Moffett and Lanny Moffett, both of Clarendon; two sisters, Lois Seaton of Amarillo and Nadine Mulanax of Petersburg; four brothers, Troy Moffett of Sherman, Hubert Moffett and Royce Moffett, both of Springfield, Colo., and Claude Moffett of Hayes, Kan.; five grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Family Life Chapel, with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery at Olton by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Richards was born in Red Springs and graduated from Amherst schools. In 1933, she moved to Olton, where she worked for General Telephone Company until 1935. She moved to Tulia in 1943 and to Plainview in 1944. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She married R.L. "Rich" Richards in 1934 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Lajuanna Boedeker of Providence; a son, Lee Richards of Houston; a sister, Ollie Onstead of Littlefield; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Martin Baptist Church, and the Rev. James Ivey Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Brown was born in Plainview and was a longtime resident of Amarillo before moving to Clarendon 24 years ago. For 30 years, he was an electronics technician at Pantex until his retirement in 1994. He was a veteran of the Navy and, in Amarillo, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and San Jacinto Methodist Church. He married Jo Anne Sibley Benton in 1967 at Clarendon. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rick Benton of Clarendon and Tim Brown of Cordell, Okla.; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Mrs. Monk was born in Quitman, Ga., and moved to Pampa in 1966. She married O'Neal Monk Sr., in 1932 at Quitman. He died in 1975. She was also preceded in death by two sons, James O. Monk, in 1956, and Harry A. Monk, in 1948. Survivors include three sons, Owen Monk Sr., O'Neal Monk Jr., and David Monk, all of Skellytown; a daughter, Dianna Lackey of Brackettville; a brother, Jeff Hampton Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox, with Pastor Jerry Clark of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mr. McKanna was born in Sharon, Kan. He was a Baptist and retired as a lead driver for Permian Oil Corporation. He was a volunteer fireman for the Dumas Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Barbara McKanna; two sons, Casey McKanna of Dumas and Jodie McKanna of San Antonio; two daughters, Cindy Ames and Tina Wiley, both of Dumas; three brothers, Jim McKanna of Medicine Lodge, Kan., Glenn McKanna of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Merle McKanna of La Porte; a sister, Loretta Loving of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
