Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Rowe Cemetery at Hedley by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Johnson was born in Mena, Ark. Before moving to White Deer about 20 years ago, she lived in Hedley, where she owned and operated the Conoco service station. She was a member of the White Deer Church of Christ and White Deer Senior Citizens. She married Charlie Johnson in 1931 at Hollis, Okla. He died in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Milton of White Deer; a son, Perry "Bud" Johnson of Amarillo; a sister, Ollie Malone of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She lived in Phillips from 1935 to 1939, when she moved to Pampa. She had lived in Oceanside since 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and the Clara Hill Sunday school class. She also was a member and past president of Pampa Home Demonstration Club. She married Hubert M. Stone in 1935 in Oklahoma. He died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Katheryn C. Griffin of Oceanside; two sons, Marion F. Stone of Jacksonville, N.C., and Rowland D. Stone of Oceanside; a sister, Nellie Baldwin of Holdenville, Okla.; four grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. In 1999, she moved to Lubbock. She married Santiago "Jim" Lopez in 1925 at Austin. He died in 1969. She was a homemaker and member of Follett United Methodist Church. She married Robert L. Gadberry in 1939 at Arnett, Okla. He died in 1998. Mrs. Davis was born in Hill County and moved to Brownfield. She then moved to Cousins community where she attended schools. After her marriage, she lived in Hart where she was a member of First Baptist Church. In 1982, she moved to Lubbock. She married Henry William Davis in 1933 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1969. She married James Rycroft in 1944 at Sweetwater. He died in 1998. Mrs. Willingham was born in Beaumont and graduated from Amarillo High School. She then graduated from Texas Tech University. She taught English at Seagraves High School and taught private piano lessons. Mrs. Willingham was a member of the Seagraves Federated Music Club where she served as president; African Violet Society; Nancy Anderson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Phi Theta Kappa with Amarillo College and Monterey Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for the University Medical Center. She married Walter L. "Sonny" Willingham in 1950 at Amarillo. He died in March. Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Ruth Huntley of Lubbock and Emily Anne Farley of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Anne Bandy of Amarillo and Mantie Autry of San Antonio; a stepsister, Martha Ruth Moreland of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel with David George and Harold James officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery. Mrs. Garrett was born in Westaskiman, Alberta, Canada. She was raised in Kingfisher where she graduated from Kingfisher High School. She moved to Boise City in 1923. Mrs. Garrett was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Rebekah's Lodge No. 131. She was involved in starting the Senior Citizens. She married Frank Garrett in 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and by two daughters, Emma Jean Garrett in 1928 and Carol Garrett in 1981. Survivors include three sons, John E. Garrett of Denver, Curtis M. Garrett of Littleton, Colo., and Gary Paul Garrett of New York City; two sisters, Opal G. Thompson of Oklahoma City and Faye Pitzer of Boise City; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Thompson, in 1957. Mr. Solano was born in Amarillo where he was a lifelong resident. During the Korean War, he served in the Navy. He retired in 1997 as a machinist for Amarillo Gear. Mr. Solano served as a deacon at Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Laurence Cathedral and St. Theresa in Friona. He worked at the St. Laurence Children Development Center and was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. He married Emilia Chavez in 1955 at Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. in Quanah Memorial Park in Quanah with the Rev. W.E. Ikard, former pastor of Quanah Assembly of God, officiating. Mrs. Hendricks was born in Wise County and moved to Hardeman County in 1911. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1924. She moved to California in 1942. While living in California, Mrs. Hendricks was employed as a drill press operator by Douglas Aircraft. She returned to Quanah where she was employed by the nursing home. In 1978, Mrs. Hendricks retired and moved to Canyon. She was a member of First Assembly of God of Canyon and was a charter member of the First Assembly of God in Quanah. She married Lewis Hendricks in 1924 at Hardeman County. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972 and by a son, Leonard "Bud" Hendricks, in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Zonelle Dickerson of Brazil and Sherry McDowell of Canyon; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 25, 2000 New Mexico Charles Wheeless ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Charles Wheeless, 80, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Veterans National Cemetery at Santa Fe. Cremation was by Sunrise Society of Albuquerque. Mr. Wheeless lived in Amarillo from 1952 to 1984, when he retired from Pantex. He served in the Navy as an aviation machinist's mate second class and was honorably discharged in 1947. He moved to Albuquerque in 1994. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Desny Wheeless of Albuquerque; a stepdaughter, Erna Hedrick of Clovis; a brother, Gussie Wheeless of Santa Fe; a sister, Lillian Turonis of Denver; a half-sister, Jeanine Schmidt of Santa Fe; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Richardson and the Rev. Jack Moffatt officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon, Texas, with Dr. Jim Garrett of Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Sears Alamogordo Funeral Home. Mr. Wood was born in Mexia, Texas. He moved with his parents to the territory of New Mexico, where they homesteaded in Delphos. He grew up in Pampa, Texas, and graduated from high school there. He married Alice King in 1927 and they settled in Happy, Texas, where they owned a family grocery store. During World War II, Mr. Wood served in the Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. When he returned, he bought a butane business in Tucumcari. He worked for Whites Auto from 1965 until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Parkinson's Support Group and Alamo Senior Center, where he served on the Nutrition Board. He married Geraldine Hasty in 1987. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice, and by an infant daughter, Alice Rae. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brad Hasty of Cedar City, Utah, and Charles Hasty of Burlington, Wash.; three sisters, Lorene McCarty and Rose Johns, both of Amarillo, and Joan Harris of Salina, Kan.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Headless was born in Monte Vista, Colo. During World War II, he served in the European theater with the Army. He ranched in Texas and Wyoming and was a cross-country trucker. Mr. Headless retired to the Texline and Clayton area. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Roberta Seaman in 1984. His first marriage was to Edit Alderman who died in 1974.
