Mr. Prichard was born in Camargo, Okla., and lived in Sanford all his life. He served on the city council for Sanford and was retired from Panhandle Producers. He was a Baptist and a veteran. Survivors include three brothers, Raymond Prichard of Vici, Okla., Bill Durf Prichard of Pocahontas, Ark., and J.C. Prichard of Garden Grove, Calif.; and a sister, Georgia Jones of Borger. Amarillo Daily News, July 25, 2000 Dorothy Holcomb PAMPA - Dorothy Holcomb, 71, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Kirk, Methodist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Holcomb was born in Eaton, Weld County, Colo. She graduated from Billings High School in 1947 and attended Eastern Montana State College at Billings. She was a medical lab technician at the Deaconess Hospital in Billings and attended the Congregational Church in Billings. In 1961 she moved to Pampa from Billings and in 1969 began working for the family business, Pantech Lab Inc., as secretary treasurer. She retired in 1994. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Jim Holcomb in 1953 at Billings. Survivors include her husband; a son, James S. Holcomb of Lubbock; two daughters, Marci Holcomb of San Diego and Lynne Moore of Pampa; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, P.O. "Jack" Stroup, 84, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon. Mr. Stroup was born on the family ranch southwest of Quitaque. He attended college, leaving during the Depression to work for Houston Lumber Co. in Borger and Pampa. He was a Seabee in the Navy during World War II. He returned to work at Houston Lumber Co. and later owned a glass and paint store in Shamrock, where he lived several years. He became associated with Ethridge Claims Service in Pampa, Amarillo, Borger and Plainview in the 1950s and became co-owner of the firm in 1966. He was past president of the Texas Independent Insurance Adjusters Association and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Marian McReynolds in 1971 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, James Stephen Heare of Pampa; a stepdaughter, Teri Heare Keeling of Canyon; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Blanton was born in Petersburg and grew up in the Plainview area. She graduated from Dimmitt High School. During World War II she was assistant manager for an Amarillo hotel. She moved to California and managed a hotel there and returned to Plainview in 1969. She also worked for the Yardstick in Plainview. She was a member of the Ninth and Columbia Street Church and a past member of the Knife and Fork Club. She married Malcolm R. She graduated from high school at Lakeview in 1947 and from Clarendon Junior College in 1949. She moved to Amarillo in 1950 from Memphis. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from West Texas State University in 1967. She taught for Amarillo Independent School District, retiring in 1987. She was president of Dogie Enterprises from 1972 to 1995. She was a member of Church of Christ. She married Floyd N. Houdashell in 1949 at Lakeview. He died in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Marie Houdashell-Riegel of San Antonio and Melinda Beth Felton of Amarillo; a son, Floyd N. Houdashell Jr. of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Brenda Graham of Claude and Betty Ann Hudgins of Burns Flat, Okla.; a brother, Lester Driver of Levelland; and six grandchildren. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 43 years, during which time he lived in Childress, Littleton, Colo.; Chicago and White Bear Lake, Minn. He had served as deacon in the Childress Church of Christ, the Littleton Church of Christ and the Brookfield Church of Christ at Chicago. He was elder for the Roseville Church of Christ in St. Paul, Minn. for 11 years. In 1980 he retired as manager of Purchasing Data Services at St. Paul. He moved to Amarillo in 1981. He was an elder of the Bell Avenue Church of Christ. He married Nellie Gaither in 1938 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Theresa Miller of Amarillo and Jean Harmon and Joan Naron, both of San Antonio; a brother, John King of Littleton; five grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. She volunteered for the American Legion Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels. She married Ernest Carson in 1947 at Mangum, Okla. He died in 1989. Daniel of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Military rites to be rendered by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Mr. Stenz was born in New Holstein, Wis., and was a longtime resident of Tucumcari, moving from Wisconsin in 1973. He served in the Air Force 12 years. He was a bookkeeper. He worked in the Billy the Kid production. He was a volunteer for the Helping Hands Hospice and was a senior companion. He had worked at the Quay County Sun Newspaper office. Survivors include his wife, Rosy Mary Stenz; two sons, Dwayne Stenz and Timothy Stenz, both of Madison, Wis.; two daughters, Rose Cohen of Las Vegas and Margaret Hobbins of Madison, Wis.; a brother, Robert Stenz of Wichita, Kan.; and a sister, Rita Berenz of Fond Du Lac, Wis. She graduated from school at Vinson, then moved to Cimarron County with her parents. She married J.C. Whitley in 1937 and they ranched in the three-state area around the Panhandle of Oklahoma. In 1963 they moved to their ranch in Union County, N.M. and Baca County, Colo. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Francis Biles of Spearman, Peggy Thompson of Yuma, Ariz., Hazel Bradfield of Amarillo and Tommye Wiers of Summit, N.J.; a brother, James Francis of Surprise, Ariz.; a sister, Betty Wiggins of Kenton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Koehn was born in Canton. She married Jonas E. Koehn in 1930 at Galva. They moved to the Sublette area in 1943 from McPherson County and began farming. Mr. Koehn died in 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Mennonite Church at Copeland. She moved to Montezuma in February. Survivors include five sons, Granville Koehn of Marienthal, John Koehn, Andy Koehn and Emery Koehn, all of Sublette, and Dennis Koehn of Texline, Texas; three daughters, Jul Nightengale of Center, Colo., Juanita Ensz of Texline and Jane Nikkel of Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada; 25 grandchildren; and 34 greatgrandchildren.
