Private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Carlile was born in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1953. From 1972 until 1987, she was employed by Dr. John Banks and the Amarillo Dental Group. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. She married Jimmy Carlile in 1953 at Tucumcari, N.M. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carol Dawn Reyes of Amarillo and Kimberly Lynn Carlile of Long Beach, Calif.; a son, Kenneth David Carlile of Bushland; a sister, Naomi Jean Trower of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Cleve Callaham; and five grandchildren. Mr. Gray was born in Clovis, N.M. He was a Army veteran and worked in retail sales. Survivors include a son, Rodney D. Gray of New York; a brother, Gene H. Gray of Amarillo; and a nephew, Kyle C. Gray of Lubbock. The family suggests memorials be to the Veteran Affairs Medical Center of Amarillo. Amarillo Daily News, Jan. 28, 2000 Mary Emma Montgomery Mary Emma Montgomery, 81, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Parker, associate to the rector, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Shreveport, La., and moved to Amarillo when she was 4. In 1937, she graduated from Amarillo High School, and attended Amarillo Business College. In 1984, Mrs. Montgomery retired from Amarillo National Bank where she was named a vice-president in 1980. In 1974, she became a trust officer and administer of the women's division of the bank. Mrs. Montgomery was a sustaining member of the Amarillo Junior League, docent for the Amarillo Museum of Art and served with many civic organizations in Amarillo. She married Mike Montgomery in 1947. He died in 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Michael Montgomery of Brush, Colo.; a niece, Mary Lynn Clark; and a nephew, Richard Finley. The family suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News, Jan. 28, 2000 J.L. Riley J.L. "Jim" Riley, 67, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lake Tanglewood Community Church with the Rev. Roger Hubbard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Riley was born and raised in Amarillo and graduated from high school in Hawaii. During the Korean Conflict, he served with the Eighth Air Transport squadron of the Navy. He returned to Amarillo in 1956. Mr. Riley was employed by Prudential for 10 years before starting his own insurance agency in 1966. He retired from insurance in 1980 then formed Riley Construction with his son in 1985. He was treasurer of Lake Tanglewood Community Church, member of the Lake Tanglewood Lions Club, and member and past president of the Lake Tanglewood Golf Association. He married Kay Black in 1956 at Alameda, Calif. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tanya Cataldi of Amarillo; three sons, Randy Riley of Amarillo, Rusty Riley of Tulsa, Okla., and Jim Wright of Azle; a brother, Bobby Riley of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren. "Peggie" Geiser, 86, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Geiser was born in Laramie, Wyo., and had lived in Amarillo since 1942. She was a cafeteria manager for the Amarillo Independent School District until her retirement. For more than 55 years, she was a receptionist and hairdresser/cosmetologist for Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mrs. Geiser was a member of First Presbyterian Church and choir. She was a member of the Music Club of the Women's Federation and a former member of the P.E.O. She married Paul J. Geiser in 1933 at Greeley, Colo. He died in 1972. Survivors include three sons, Paul Geiser of Bridgeport, Bobby Geiser of Amarillo and Tom Geiser of Denver; eight grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. She retired as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Borger. She was preceded in death by her husband Harmon "Mack" Gregg. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mr. Gonzales was born in Black and was a lifelong resident of Friona. He was a member of Templo Bautista. From 1957 until his retirement in 1991, he was employed by the City of Friona Sanitation Department. He married Celsa Chavez in 1969 at Hereford. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Florez and Gloria Vega, both of Lubbock; a stepdaughter, Maria Rodriquez of Friona; a son, Rafael J. Mr. Black was born in Cheyenne, Okla. He lived in Friona where he was employed by International Harvester and was a farmer. He then moved to Pampa where he was a longtime employee of Texaco. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Black. He married Anna Lee Ruston in 1941 at Clinton, Okla. She died in 1998. He also was preceded in death by a son, Leland Ray Black. Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Yates of Amarillo; a son, Leon Black of Elkhart, Kan.; two sisters, Maxine Hapeman and Earnestine Ammons, both of Pampa; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mrs. Baker was born in Wynnewood, Okla., and had lived in Motley County since 1949. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Matador and the Matador Senior Citizens. She married Dee C. Baker in 1930 at Pauls Valley, Okla. He died in 1997. Burial will be in Roaring Springs Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mr. Brooks was born in Tom Green County and moved to Motley County in 1924. A retired farmer and rancher, he also served as a Motley County commissioner for 20 years. He was a member of Roaring Springs Baptist Church where he was a deacon and the Roaring Springs Lions Club. He married Modean Warren in 1937 at Roaring Springs. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill Brooks. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Stanley of Austin, Keith of Del Rio, Mickey of Grandview and Timmy of Roaring Springs; two daughters, Carolyn Moose and Janice Perryman, both of Roaring Springs; seven sisters, Ruby Whitaker of Brownfield, Delores Smallwood and Earle Price, both of Lubbock, Geraldine Skaggs, Genell Carpenter and Patricia Edwards, all of Palo Pinto Lake, and Mary Ann Avera of Denver City; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was a farmer. He married Felicitas Grapo in 1965 at Porvenir.
