Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. Dorman Duggan officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. McNeese was born in Wilson and lived in Hereford 68 years. She attended West Texas State University. She was a secretary over 36 years, working at J.W. Robinson Insurance Agency and Ken Rogers Insurance Agency. She was a member of First Christian Church. She married Don McNeese in 1964 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Mike Hampton of Canyon; a daughter, Holly Hyde of Hereford; a sister, Evelyn Garnett of McAlister, Okla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News, June 28, 2000 Flora Thompson PLAINVIEW - Flora Thompson, 78, died Monday, June 26, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pope of the church officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Shamrock. She lived in Swisher County many years. She worked in the church nursery at Calvary Baptist. After retirement she was a baby-sitter in Tulia. She married Elmer Dean Thompson in 1956 at Dumas. He died in 1960. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Farmer of Plainview; two sons, Arvil Farmer of Breckenridge and Ronald Farmer of Hale Center; three brothers, William "Bill" Sloss of Amarillo, R.C. Sloss of Childress and Dee Sloss of Amarillo; two sisters, Mildred Malone of Gainesville and Ree Hill of Texarkana; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Raymond McKever, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bradshaw was born in Corsicana. She was missionary president for St. Mark CME Church and also a stewardess of the church. She worked as a housekeeper for Gladys and John Bowers more than 40 years. She married Robert Bradshaw in 1947 at Groesbeck. He died in 1991. She also was preceded in death by a son, Robert Junior Bradshaw. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Bradshaw Payne of San Antonio and Erma Wright of Decatur; two sons, Charles Bradshaw and Jerome Bradshaw, both of Pampa; three sisters, Louise Adkism of Pampa, Ruby J. Kelly of Fort Worth and Julia M. Cooper of Denver; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery. Mrs. David was born in Arkansas City, Kan. and moved to Clarendon at a young age. She graduated from Clarendon High School in 1922. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church at Clarendon. She married William Joseph David in 1924 at Clarendon. He died in 1966. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jarrett David, in 1958. Survivors include two daughters, Rita Casteel of Amarillo and Jewell Millan of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Ray David of Clarendon, Eldon David of Oklahoma City and Merle David of Buffalo, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Denton was born in Durant, Okla., and lived in Amarillo since 1964. He attended Texas Tech University. He retired from Cummins Sales and Service. He worked for Ken B. Kelley and was manager of Cigs-4-U. He was a musician and played with Dick Morton and the Khiva Band. He served on the board of the Amarillo Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian. He married Joanna Davis in 1977 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Denton of Canyon; a daughter, Karma Denton of Telluride, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Susie Gallagher of Austin and Nancy Myers of Fromberg, Mont.; a stepson, Bruce Wright of San Francisco; and six grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Hernandez was born in Rotan. She moved from Rotan to Amarillo in 1969. She was a waitress. She married Trinidad Hernandez in 1968 at Rotan. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Tanamachi of Edinburg; five sons, Alfonso Hernandez, Ralph Hernandez, Joe Hernandez and Timothy Hernandez, all of Amarillo and Domingo Gonzalez of Ballinger; four sisters, Susie Ortega, Joelinda Rolance and Linda Gustin, all of Provo, Utah and Diane Rameriz of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Raymond Ortega and Antonio Ortega Jr., both of Mineral Wells; and 17 grandchildren. Marvin Lee Roark, chaplain of Baptist St. Anthony's Health System, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Happy Cemetery at Happy. Arrangements are by Vega Funeral Home. Mrs. Harle was born in Vigo Park and had lived in Vega since 1940. In 1938 she earned a bachelor's degree in home economics at West Texas State Teacher's College at Canyon. She was a member of Epsilon Omicron Phi, National Homemakers Association, West Texas State Teacher's College Ex-Student Association and the Oldham County Extension Homemakers Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vega. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Harle Dillard and Judith Harle Ward, both of Vega; a son, Charles William Harle of Vega; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to West Texas A&M University Alumni Association, Box 2833, Canyon, TX 79016. The family will be at 1008 Davis in Vega. Hargrave, 88, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Hargrave was born in Seminole, Okla., and moved to Amarillo at the age of 10. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1930 and attended Amarillo College. He worked as a bookkeeper and accountant and served three years in the National Guard. In 1943 he joined the Army Corps of Engineers and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After the war he worked as a salesman and for Lonestar Distributors. In 1965 he became owner of Bevard's Package Store, retiring in 1984. Survivors include a son, Bevard E. Hargrave of Whitney; a daughter, Melody Hargrave Brannen of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Bessie McCullough-Beadle of Amarillo and Juanita Miller of New Mexico; a brother, Charley B. Hargrave of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Salvation Army. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Amarillo Daily News, June 28, 2000 Thomas B. Erwin Thomas B. Erwin, 83, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 26, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Joe Hunnicutt officiating. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mr. Erwin was born in Snyder, Okla. and was a longtime resident of Amarillo, moving from Levelland. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a clock repairman, retiring in 1998 and a longtime member of Ochiltree Masonic Lodge in Perryton. He married Pauline Taylor in 1946 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Toni Chapman and Julie Bagard, both of Amarillo; a son, Tom Erwin of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Amarillo Daily News, June 28, 2000 MacDonald H. Hays MacDonald H. Hayes, 87, died Monday, June 26, 2000. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Dr. David Noebel of Summit Ministries, Manitou Springs, Colo., officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Hays was born in Wray, Colo. and raised on a ranch near there. He moved to Denver at age 12. He attended Denver University and learned to fly. He was a 2nd lieutenant in the Army Air Corp and served three years as a fighter pilot. In 1940 he moved to Kansas City and became a pilot for Trans World Airlines. In 1950 he moved to Amarillo, where he was an investor and farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Idell Hays; and by a son, Randy Hays. Survivors include a daughter, Julie Hays of Amarillo; a son, Kirk Hays of Austin; a sister, Joy Davis of Des Moines, Iowa; and two granddaughters. Osage St. Mrs. Harris was born in Estelline and lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a homemaker. She married Charles G. Harris in 1940 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1986. Survivors include a son, Darrell Lee Harnes of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice.
