Snook Robert "Bob" E. Snook, 71, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 26, 2000. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. John McClean of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating. Mr. Snook was born in Denver. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Washington State University in Pullman where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a principal for Snook & Aderton Inc. in Amarillo and Lubbock for 47 years. He had been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church since 1952. He married Carman McGee in 1951 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberlee Barnwell of Arlington; a son, Cmdr. Kelly R. Snook of Newport, R.I.; his mother, Margaret Snook of Spokane, Wash.; and five step-grandchildren. The family will be at 6207 Adirondack and suggests memorials be to Baptist-St. Anthony's Hospice. The body will not be available for viewing. He farmed outside of Washburn for 13 years and worked for Asarco 26 years. Three years ago he moved to Amarillo. He was a Southern Baptist. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cave Creek Cemetery in Vinson, Okla., by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Smith was born in Pike County, Okla. A World War II veteran of the Army, he received four Bronze Service Stars and the Purple Heart medal. He was retired from the Bureau of Mines, Exel Helium Plant. Mr. Smith was a member of Wheels A Go-Go Club and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Christian Workers Sunday school class. He married Margarette Stallings in 1943 at Mangum, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Fewell of Amarillo; two sons, Robert Smith of Lake Jackson and Tommie Smith of Hewitt; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Osage St. Mr. Reeves was born in Dalhart and served with the Coast Guard during the Korean conflict. Amarillo Daily News, March 28, 2000 Oklahoma Glynn Grubb BALKO, Okla. - Glynn Grubb, 71, died Sunday, March 26, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery at Sayre with Terry Danley officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, Texas. Mr. Grubb was born in Swisher County, Texas. He lived near Tulia, Texas, until moving at age 14 to New Liberty. He graduated from high school there in 1948. He attended Sayre Community College for two years while working for Farris Electric. He moved to Fritch in 1951 and worked for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. He moved to Balko in 1956 and continued working for the company until retiring as a pipeline foreman in 1986. Mr. Grubb married Violet June Teakell in 1950 at Cordell, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Karel Grubb of Round Rock, Texas, Gary Grubb of Double Oak, Texas, and Kenneth Grubb of Spring, Texas; and six grandchildren. Marceron, 98, formerly of Amarillo, died Friday, March 17, 2000. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Congregational Church with the Rev. James Shea officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery by Crawford-Eng Funeral Home. Mrs. Marceron was born in Hidewood Township, Deuel County. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1923. She attended South Dakota State College in Brookings and cosmetology school in St. Paul, Minn. She later owned and operated a beauty shop in Washington, D.C., where she lived before retiring to Clearwater, Fla. Mrs. Marceron lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., before moving to Amarillo, where she lived about 20 years. She later moved back to Clear Lake. She was a member of Congregational Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She had been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo. She married John Marceron in 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband and a stepdaughter. Survivors include a stepson, John Marceron Jr. of Amarillo; two stepgranddaughters; two nephews; and four nieces. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, in Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz. Arrangements were by Mountain View Mortuary of Mesa. Mr. Vaughn was born in Wingo, Ky., and moved to Curry County, N.M., when he was 8. He farmed in the Hollene community until he retired and moved to Mesa in 1962. He was a member of the Hi-Way Baptist Church. He married Iva Pearl Chitwood in 1921 at Grady, N.M. He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons, Richard Bryan and Buford Harold. Survivors include four daughters, Naomi Duncan of Texico, N.M., Toy Marie Burke of Bossier City, La., Oleta Rafferty of Dewey and Leota Robinson of Amarillo; three sisters, Robbie Lee Thompkins and Lela Stockton, both of Clovis, N.M., and Pauline Lofton of Bellview, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Tracy Duvall and the Rev. Don Wirsdorfer officiating. Burial will be in Crowell Cemetery at Crowell by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Huggins was born in Crowell. She moved to Quanah in 1961 from Midland. She was a homemaker and retired bookkeeper. She was a member of First Christian Church and was active in Christian Women's Fellowship. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and twice served as Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 10355 and served five years as president. She married Charles S. Stewart in 1947. He died in 1977. She married Daniel W. Huggins in 1980. He died in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Niki Converse of Quanah, Sara Duvall of Rising Sun, Md., and Janie Stowers of Vernon; a brother, Leland Stovall of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-RoseWhite Funeral Home of Lockney. Mrs. Frizzell was born in Pampa and graduated from Lockney High School in 1960. In 1975 she moved to Lockney from the Lone Star community. She was a homemaker and co-owner of The Basket Case. With her husband, Mrs. Frizzell owned T.A.L.A. Kennels of Lockney. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught the Ruth Sunday school class for 25 years. She married David B. Frizzell in 1958 at Lone Star. She was preceded in death by a son, David Cass Frizzell, in 1967. Survivors include her husband; three children, Cindy Cotham, Julie Dorman and Chad Frizzell, all of Lockney; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Sunray with her grandson, H.A. Carter, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Mrs. Carter was born in Lefors and moved to Sherman County in 1931 where she and her husband farmed. She was a homemaker and member of the Spurlock Chapel Methodist Church until it closed, then attended Stratford United Methodist Church. Mrs. Carter was a Sunday school teacher and an artist. In 1985 she moved to Dumas where she was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She married Everett William Carter in 1926 at Groom. He died in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Vernon Carter of Dumas and Dwayne Carter of Sunray; a daughter, Evelyn Wegner of Mena, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgranddaughter.
