Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Monnett was born in Borger. She lived in Fort Worth before moving to Fritch six years ago. She worked as a checker at B&R Thriftway. She was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, James Monnett of Fort Worth; and a brother, Arvin Cowan of Fritch. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Lee Wallin of Lawton, Okla., and Virgil Wade Wallin Sr. of Pampa; a brother, Johnny Lee Dubbs of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-Times, Friday, Jan. 28, 2000 William L. Arthur PAMPA - William L. "Bill" Arthur, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Edwin Cooley, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Arthur was born in Owensboro, Ky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had lived in Pampa since 1926. He was an accountant and owned and operated a tax and bookkeeping service. Mr. Arthur was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Pampa Noon Lions Club. Survivors include three daughters, Vanessa Buzzard of Pampa, Carol McDonald of Midland and Dianne Hewett of Lubbock; a sister, Ada Nicholson of Camarillo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Young officiating and assisted by the Rev. Roy Canada. Burial will be at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Daugherty was born in Quanah and lived there all his life. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1957. For 28 years he worked for Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Mill and later he worked for the city of Quanah. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Quanah Country Club. He married Scarlett Lytle in 1961 in Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Thomas, in 1998. Survivors include his wife of Quanah; two sons, Paul Daugherty of Quanah and Bruce Thomas of Tilden; two daughters, Paula Rhoads of Cody, Wy., and Tina Potter of Holliday; his mother, Dollie Daugherty of Quanah; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Inc. of Perryton. Mr. Ferguson was born in Germantown, Tenn., and lived here since he was 6 months old. He was a truck driver and a veteran of World War II. He married Barbara Wyche in 1968 in Stratford. Survivors include his wife of Perryton; three sons, David Ferguson of Guymon, Tim Ferguson of Odessa and Steve Ferguson of Wichita Falls; a brother, Nolan Reed of Beaver, Okla.; and four grandchildren. The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity. The body will not be available for viewing. Amarillo Daily News, Jan. 29, 2000 Arthur Wells SHAMROCK - Arthur Wells, 91, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Shamrock with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Wells was born in Collingsworth County and graduated from Wellington High School. He graduated from Texas Tech University. He was a retired junior high school teacher and principal, teaching in the Kellerville Community for several years before moving to Shamrock. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, seeing action in France, Italy and North Africa. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and former member of the Boosters Club. He served as the Veterans Service Officer for Wheeler County for several years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Caro Beth Davis in 1932 in Collingsworth County. He was preceded in death by three infant children. Survivors include his wife of Shamrock; two sisters, Bertha Mae Derr of Atlanta, Ga., and Louise McCormick of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Edd Wallace Wells of Ponca City, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Morrison was born in Floydada. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1946. He was the former manager of the Pampa Ice Plant and retired from Celanese after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Frank Keim Council, Knights of Columbus. He married Harriet Kribbs in 1950 in Pampa. Survivors include his wife of Pampa; a daughter, Susan D. Klock of Newton, Kan.; three sons, Albert H. Morrison Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Curt D. Morrison of Atlanta, Ga., and Dan G. Morrison of Pampa; two brothers, Ted Morrison of Amarillo and Frank Morrison of Pampa; a sister, Lillian Todd of Wichita Falls; and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under the direction of Moore-RoseWhite Funeral Home of Floydada. Mrs. Norman was born in Abernathy. She attended schools in Abernathy. She moved to Floydada from Ralls in 1959. She worked for the Energas Company for 26 years and retired in 1989. She was a member of Tuesday Bridge Club and Eastern Star in Floydada, where she was Past Matron three times and Past Deputy Grand Matron. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Floydada. She married Weims Norman in 1985 in Floydada. He preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Hodges of Salina, Kan., Rick Hodges of Iraan, and Bill Norman of Prattville, Alabama; a daughter, Linda LeHaney of Arlington; two brothers, C.E. Crow of Abernathy and R.E. Crow of Granite Shoals, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Ladd was born in Strong City, Okla. She moved with her family to Elk City, where she graduated from high School. She married Damon Ladd in 1942 at Elk City. They lived in Cactus, Houston and Dalhart as well as Johnson, Kan., before moving to Amarillo in 1985. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Ladd. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Damon Ladd of Amarillo and Clint Ladd of Fort Worth; three grandchildren; and a brother, John Stephens of Elk City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Tucker was born in Francis, Okla. She lived in Amarillo during the early 1940s before moving to Bellville. She returned to Amarillo in July. She owned and operated Myers Beauty Shop for more than 25 years. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years. She married William J. Myers in August 1943. He preceded her in death in 1971. She married Edward Dale Tucker in 1972 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include her mother, Gladys Cameron of Galt, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Ethier and Anita Vardell of Amarillo; a son, Allen Coonce of Sacramento; three brothers, Joe Cameron of Amarillo, Bill Cameron of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jerry Cameron of Concord, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Reeves of Concord, Calif., Louise Coleman of Livermore, Calif., and Frieta Shinn of Galt, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and Christian College in Columbia, Mo. She was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Amarillo. She married Ted Reyman in 1954 in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a son, Todd Reyman of Los Angeles; two daughters, Polly Reyman of Bedford and Jennifer Reyman of Dallas; and her mother, Louise Boxwell of Amarillo. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Watson was born in Texola, Okla. His family moved from Kress, Texas, to Clovis, N.M., in 1950. He had lived in Boonville since 1975.
