Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Ochiltree County Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mrs. Brownlee was born in Farmersville. She graduated from Denton High School and attended Texas State College for Women in Denton and the University of Texas at Austin. She moved to Perryton after her marriage to William T. Brownlee. He died in 1967. She was a resident of San Antonio. Survivors include four daughters, Nan Tandy Presson of Wichita Falls, Topsy Ann Spellman of Victoria and Patty Rhea Brownlee and Billie Bester Brownlee, both of San Antonio; a sister, Jerry Trader of Corpus Christi; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, July 29, 2000 Jeannie Ann Kirk SPEARMAN - Jeannie Ann Kirk, 51, formerly of Spearman, Wednesday, July 26, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Don Wirsdorfer, former pastor, and the Rev. Gary Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Kirk was born in Spearman. She graduated from Spearman High School in 1967. She was a nurse and had studied at Amarillo College School of Nursing. She moved to Perryton in 1993 from Spearman. She was a member of First Christian Church congregations in Perryton and Spearman. She married Richard Kirk in 1997 at Perryton. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alicia Robertson of Borger and Deanna Zabin of Perryton; a son, David Zabin of Perryton; her mother, Grace Kirk of Spearman; a brother, Roger Davis of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, July 29, 2000 Richard John Bittner FRITCH - Richard John Bittner, 74, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Abundant Life Fellowship at Borger with the Rev. Norman Shuman, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Bittner was born in Newark, N.J. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He had lived in Fritch for 25 years and retired from transportation duties for Phillips Petroleum Co. He owned Sandy's, a restaurant, and was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship in Borger. He also was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Bittner married Sandra Word in 1977 at Colorado Springs, Colo. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Richard Bittner of Connecticut, Dennis Bittner of West Palm Beach, Fla., Dean Bittner of Bangor, Maine, Jamie Bittner of Emerson, N.J., Carlton Griffing of Amarillo and Shaunn Bittner of Fritch; five daughters, Susan Brower of Florida, Ginger Reynolds and Nanci Rando, both of Denver and Mechelle Spradling and Shannon Washer, both of Borger; two brothers, Sid Vreeland of Mantoloking, N.M., and Gene Vreeland of Torrance, Calif.; two sisters, Pearl Lerose and Irene Jones, both of New Jersey; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Everett was born in Holliday. She was a homemaker. She married Kirby Everett in 1940 at Pampa. He died in 1967. She also was preceded in death by a son, Bill Rudd, in 1992. Survivors include four sisters, Beth Gassett of Hurst, Katherine Spearman and Margaret Mikeska, both of Wichita Falls and Martha Turk of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the church by Deacon Daniel Chavez. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories with military rites rendered by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Yzaguirre was born in Edinburg, Texas. He moved to Clovis in 1984 and to Portales this year. He was a farm laborer for Cramer Produce and harvested potatoes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Clovis, the American Legion Post No. 25 and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He married Martha Villalovos in 1977 at San Benito, Texas. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Manuel Yzaguirre of Clovis and Rick Yzaguirre of Indiana; seven daughters, Rosie Fox of Joliet, Ill., Norma Yzaguirre of California, Cindy Morales, Thelma Arredondo and Grace Soto, all of Clovis and Maryville Chavez and Esperanze Yzaguirre, both of Portales; two brothers, Romero Montemayor of Brenham, Texas, and Sylvester Yzaguirre of Clovis; three sisters, Amanda Cantu of Dimmitt, Texas, Maria Andrade of Joliet and Juanita Rodriguez of Hereford; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren. Mr. Vick was born in Brown County, Texas. He was a longtime resident of the Grady area before moving to Tucumcari. He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Louise Vick, in 1974. He served four years in the Navy. He was a rancher and a professional hunter on African safaris. He married Joan Vernon in 1952. Survivors include his wife; a son, Patrick Wynne of Colorado Springs; and two brothers, W.M. "Mack" Gordon of Amarillo and Edward Cheadle.
