Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Neal was born in Amarillo, where she was a longtime resident. In 1993, she retired from Planned Parenthood. She was a member of East Amarillo Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, David Neal of Amarillo; two sisters, Ethel Turner and Billie Goss, both of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. He worked for the Borger Independent School District until his retirement as Maintenance Superintendent in 1982, when he moved to Canyon. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Canyon. Mr. Patchin moved to Amarillo in 1997. He married Florine Shreffler in 1937 at Borger. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah's Witness. She married Majin Hernandez in 1926 at Brownsville. He died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Gabriel Hernandez and Ataniscio Hernandez and Luis Hernandez; three daughters, Isabel Rodriguez, Juanita Lumbrera and Juanita Sanchez; and a grandson, Ruben Salazar. Burial will be in Sophia Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mrs. Cates was born in Rouchovony, Czechoslovakia, and moved to Beaver County with her family in 1909. After attending Liberty country school, she married Ellis Getz in 1930. They farmed and ran a dairy. After her husband's death in 1972, she moved to Booker. She won numerous trophies bowling for the Fronk Oil Co. in the Daylighter's League. She married Ollie Cates in 1985. Mrs. Cates was also preceded in death by two daughters. Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Rheta Hill of Dumas; two stepsons, Irwin Cates of Guymon, Okla., and Rodney Cates of Balko, Okla.; and a sister, Sophie Henton of Booker. He then worked as an electrical maintenance technician for the Lubbock Independent School District. Mr. Morey was born in Crawford County, Kan., and graduated from Yale High School in Frontenac, Kan. In 1942, he moved to Hemphill County from Wichita, Kan., where he was a rancher and a farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Independent School District. He had served as president of Canadian-Hemphill County Chamber of Commerce and helped form and was on the Board of Directors of Hemphill County Farm Bureau. He was a former board member of First State Bank and a board member of Rachel's Little House, and Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. He was active in 4H and Future Farmers of American programs and purchased stock show animals for local youths. He was a volunteer for Caring is Sharing and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He married Marlene Montague in 1942 at Wichita. She died in 1989. He married Ruth Burkhart in 1993 at Wichita Falls. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Raydel Hall of Farmington, N.M., Cindy Bowen of Canadian, and Kiazan Moneypenny of Woodbridge, Va.; two stepsons, Mitchell Burkhart of Guymon, Okla., and Brian Burkhart of Austin; a stepdaughter, Stacey Burkhart of Chicago; a brother, Jean Morey of McCune, Kan.; a sister, Thurma Masser of Girard, Kan.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road in Amarillo. Mrs. Parker lived in Amarillo for 35 years. Ten years ago, she moved to Hedley. She worked in hospitals, including St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ray B. Smith and Robert D. Parker; and a son, Ron Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Clarke of Amarillo and Patricia Stiles of Hedley; a brother, Gerald Walker of Zapata; a sister, Thelma Hughes of Borger; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
