She was a member of Rain Tree Christian Church in Lubbock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Euell Hart, in 1982. Survivors include four sisters, Hazel Bowers of Ashland, Neb., Jo Renli and Mary Lou Moore, both of Lubbock, and Ruth Charles of Del Mar, Calif. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Claude Church of Christ with Ken Watson, minister, officiating. Burial will be at the Claude Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Hatfield was born in Alba. She lived in Amarillo for two years before moving to Claude in 1960. She was a nurse's aide at Palo Duro Nursing Home, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Claude Church of Christ. She married Virgil Aaron Hatfield in 1947 at Dumas. He died in 1986. She also was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Lee Hatfield, in 1983. Survivors include four daughters, Virgie Clark of Amarillo, Kay Britton and Carol Furgason, both of Claude and Sheila Llewellyn of Hedley; five sons, Gary Hatfield, Roger Hatfield, Ray Hatfield, Darrell Hatfield and Michael Hatfield, all of Claude; one sister, Oleta Burns of Winnsboro; one brother, James Watts of Amarillo; 23 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Davis was born in Quanah. He graduated from Quanah High School and served in the Army during World War II. He worked for Sansom Furniture. He moved in 1965 to Dallas, where he was a medical supply salesman. He was a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, Gary Davis of Garland, Damon Davis of Jefferson, and Glenn Davis of Red Oak; one daughter, Sheilla Ross of Dallas; three brothers, Walter Davis and James Davis, both of Quanah and Lindell Davis of Fort Worth; one sister, Bertha Hatfield of Wichita, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Sept. 29, 2000 James Dale Temple PLAINVIEW - James Dale Temple, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000. Mr. Temple was born in Kosciusko, Miss. In 1936, he moved to Texas, living in Olton and Muleshoe before moving to Plainview in 1941. He was a boot maker and shoe repairman for Raglands Western Wear. He worked for the Plainview Independent School District, then at Wayland Baptist University as a painter. He retired in 1992 as a self-employed painter. Mr. Temple was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon. He married Phyllis Truitt in 1939 at Olton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Adkins of Amarillo; a son, Ronnie Temple of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Mrs. Beasley was born in Hayden, N.M., and graduated from Clayton, N.M., High School in 1939. She moved to Dalhart in the late 1940s. She was a founding member of the Better Mothers Club and a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Myron Beasley in 1940 at Tucumcari, N.M. Drew Travis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Coe was born and raised in Matoy, Okla. She attended school at Matoy; at Ada, Okla.; and at the Presbyterian College in Durant, Okla. She had lived in Lyford, moved to Dawn in 1929, to Tulia in 1944 and then to Muleshoe. In 1957, she moved to Plainview. She was a sales clerk for West Pharmacy. Mrs. Coe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Delphin Club. She married John G. Coe Sr. in 1926 at Durant. He died in 1977. Survivors include two sons, John Coe of Dallas and Benton Coe of Plainview; three sisters, Mary F. Benton and Opal Davis, both of Lubbock, and Bernice Noble of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1969 and from West Texas State University at Canyon with a degree in education. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She had worked as an accountant in Amarillo and sold her practice in 1991. She married Joe Sawyers. They moved to Colleyville in 1993. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Billie and Joyce Perkins of Amarillo; a sister, Rhonda DeBusk of Idalou; and a grandmother, Maggie Davis of Littlefield. Mrs. Davis was born in Henrietta and moved to Post. She attended Post High School, Hardin Simmons and graduated from Texas Tech. She taught school in the Lubbock area and joined the American Red Cross in 1943. She retired in 1972 in Albuquerque, N.M. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Post United Methodist Church, Altrusa Club, Business and Woman's Club and the American Red Cross Retired Association. She married Goldsmith Davis in 1978. He died in 1997. Mrs. Davis moved to Weatherford in 1998. Survivors include a daughter, D.J. Stubblefield of Poolville; a son, Don Davis of Poolville; and two grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Sept. 29, 2000 Charles Milton Kiker ANTON - Dr. Charles Milton Kiker, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, in Lubbock. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Parks and Vance Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon by Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock. Dr. Kiker was born in Stephenville and graduated from Crosbyton High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in education at West Texas State Teachers College and a master's degree in art and doctorate of education at Texas Tech University. He worked as a teacher, director, evaluator and adviser for Air Force technical schools. In 1978, he retired and moved to Anton, where he directed the choir for the First United Methodist Church and initiated an independent Senior Citizens Center. He was president of the Lions Club and Worshipful Master for the Masonic Lodge No. 1272. He was mayor of Anton and a member of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity. Dr. Kiker married Nedra Oneta Peel in 1932 at Phoenix. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Neta Latrice Ferrell of Crosby; a son, Charles M. Kiker II of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Clara Criswell of National City, Calif., and Victoria McNeelyLayfield of Early; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Ubben in 1930 at Medford, Okla. He died in 1988. He was active in politics and student ministries at Amarillo College. He was a Baptist. She married Carl Hollingsworth in 1944 at Amarillo. He died in 1983. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Stinnett and the Order of the Eastern Star. She married D.C. Turner in 1926. He died in 1969. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Caroline Turner, in 1931. Survivors include two sons, Dee C. He was a member of the San Jacinto United Methodist Church. He was living in Liberal at the time of his death. He married Wanda Cornell in 1939 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ken Campbell of Liberal, Kan.; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association; or the Kidney Foundation. In 1957, he moved from Fort Worth to Amarillo, where he owned Professional Auto Glass. He volunteered at Kids, Inc., and was a member of the South Amarillo Optimist Club and Bible Baptist Temple. He married Vera Dickerson in 1956 at Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Rae McCurry, in 1961. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Angela Lamb, Edythe Robinson and Regina Swaim, all of Amarillo; a son, George R. "Mac" McCurry Jr. of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Patrick was born in Altus, Okla., and had lived in Canyon for 15 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He worked as an auto parts salesman and also owned his own store. He married Annilou Moran in 1936 at Sherman. She died in May. Survivors include a son, Bob Patrick of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
