Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Arthur was born in Owensboro, Ky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had lived in Pampa since 1926. He was an accountant and owned and operated a tax and bookkeeping service. Mr. Arthur was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Pampa Noon Lions Club. Survivors include three daughters, Vanessa Buzzard of Pampa, Carol McDonald of Midland and Dianne Hewett of Lubbock; a sister, Ada Nicholson of Camarillo, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Box 2795, Pampa TX 79066-2795. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Jan. 30, 2000 Donald Wayne Daugherty QUANAH - Donald Wayne Daugherty, 60, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Young officiating and assisted by the Rev. Roy Canada. Burial will be at Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Daugherty was born in Quanah and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1957. For 28 years he worked for Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Mill and later he worked for the city of Quanah. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a golfer and a member of the Quanah Country Club. He married Scarlett Lytle in 1961 in Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Thomas, in 1998. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul Daugherty of Quanah and Bruce Thomas of Tilden; two daughters, Paula Rhoads of Cody, Wyo., and Tina Potter of Holliday; his mother, Dollie Daugherty of Quanah; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was the former manager of the Pampa Ice Plant and retired from Celanese after 25 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Floydada. She married Weims Norman in 1985 in Floydada. He preceded her in death in 1991. He graduated from Texas Tech University. He was a retired junior high school teacher and principal, teaching in the Kellerville Community for several years before moving to Shamrock. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, seeing action in France, Italy and North Africa. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and former member of the Boosters Club. He served as the Veterans Service Officer for Wheeler County and was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Caro Beth Davis in 1932 in Collingsworth County. He was preceded in death by three infant children. Mr. Coleman was born in Dozier and graduated from Wellington High School. He attended Arlington Military School, Abilene Christian College and West Texas State University in Canyon where he received a bachelor's of science degree in agriculture. He gave land to the state of Texas to build the Farm-to-Market 3143 from Dozier to McLean. He was a member of the Texas Farm Bureau, Shamrock Sheriff's Posse and the Soil Conservation Service. He attended the McLean Church of Christ. He married Margaret Lois Hess in 1938 at Wellington. She preceded him in death. He was a member of Booker Christian Church. He married Fama Payne in 1942 at Beaver. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Jan. 30, 2000 Oklahoma Wilbur E. Imler TYRONE, Okla. - Wilbur E. "Johnny" Imler, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, in Liberal, Kan. Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Miller Mortuary Chapel at Liberal with the Rev. Carl Hein officiating. Cremation followed the services. Mr. Imler was born in Texas County. He served with both the Army and the Air Force, was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Air Force in 1958. After moving to Boise City, he worked in the steam laundry business, farmed and later, was a custom ensilage cutter. He taught in the agriculture department at Panhandle State University in Goodwell and was a self-employed mechanic until his retirement in 1991. He married Janet L. Highsmith Sheldon in 1975 at Perryton, Texas. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald L. Imler of Liberal; three daughters, Terri Weaver of Boise City, and Keri Harris and Cori Rodriguez, both of Panhandle, Texas; three stepsons, Charles B. Mrs. Flanagan was born in Richland Center, Wis., and attended school in the Texas Panhandle. For 40 years, she lived in the Oklahoma Panhandle and moved to Guymon in 1974. She was a member of a Home Demonstration club and the area Quilting Club. She was a member of the Church of God in Texhoma and James Community and First Church of the Nazarene in Guymon. She married Loren Flanagan in 1930. He died in 1973. Mrs. Ladd was born in Strong City, Okla. She moved with her family to Elk City, where she graduated from high School. She married Damon Ladd in 1942 at Elk City. They lived in Cactus, Houston and Dalhart and Johnson, Kan., before moving to Amarillo in 1985. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Ladd. She owned and operated Myers Beauty Shop for 25 years. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and First Church of the Nazarene. She married William J. Myers in August 1943. He preceded her in death in 1971. She married Edward Dale Tucker in 1972 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include her mother, Gladys Cameron of Galt, Calif.; two daughters, Barbara Ethier and Anita Vardell of Amarillo; a son, Allen Coonce of Sacramento; three brothers, Joe Cameron of Amarillo, Bill Cameron of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jerry Cameron of Concord, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Reeves of Concord, Calif., Louise Coleman of Livermore, Calif., and Frieta Shinn of Galt, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
