Burial was in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Kirk was born in Spearman. She graduated from Spearman High School in 1967. She was a nurse and had studied at Amarillo College School of Nursing. She moved to Perryton in 1993 from Spearman. She was a member of First Christian Church congregations in Perryton and Spearman. She married Richard Kirk in 1997 at Perryton. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alicia Robertson of Borger and Deanna Zabin of Perryton; a son, David Zabin of Perryton; her mother, Grace Kirk of Spearman; a brother, Roger Davis of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Bittner was born in Newark, N.J., and had lived in Fritch for 25 years. He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from transportation at Phillips Petroleum Co. and owned Sandy's Restaurant. He was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship in Borger and the American Legion. Mr. Bittner married Sandra Word in 1977 at Colorado Springs, Colo. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. McCarthy was born in Kansas City, Kan. He moved to the Gray County area in 1934 and to Pampa in 1988 from Skellytown. He retired as a roughneck and pumper with Cree Oil Co. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Mr. McCarthy married Juanita Terry in 1939 at Sayre, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie McCarthy, in 1997. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles McCarthy of Odessa; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Underwood married Joann Smith in 1948 at Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Palmer of Plainview; two sons, Galen Underwood of Plainview and Terry Underwood of Miami; a sister, Mary M. He retired from the Army as a sergeant first class, including duty during the Vietnam War. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John R. Watson III, rector, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. McDonald was born in Lubbock. He graduated from Floydada High School in 1960, attended Midwestern University at Wichita Falls and graduated from Texas Tech University at Lubbock in 1987 with a degree in economics. While living in Floydada, he was associated with McDonald Implements. He served as Lions Club president and attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He moved to Lubbock in 1982 and worked as senior accountant for Texas Tech Medical School. He was a member of the Lubbock Civic Chorale. Mr. McDonald moved in 1992 to Amarillo, where he was chief accountant at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and served as vestry treasurer. He had been a choir member and choir director at churches he had attended. He married Sunny Boucher in 1968 at Clarence, N.Y. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill McDonald of Amarillo; a daughter, Stephanie Collette of Amarillo; a sister, Carolyn Cheek of Floydada; and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11:45 a.m. Monday in West Park Cemetery at Hereford with the Rev. Terry Cosby officiating. Arrangements are by Parkside Funeral Home in Hereford. Mrs. Stephens was born in Letcher County, Ky., and had lived in Amarillo since 1968. She began teaching school at age 16 after one year of college. She graduated from Union College in Barbourville, Ky., and earned her master's degree in education from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She taught special education classes in four states, retiring in 1980 in the Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Robert Stephens in 1940 in Letcher County. He died in 1965. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Simons of Hereford and Linda Schaller of Sunset, La.; a son, Robert Stephens of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a sister, Hope Williams of Security, Colo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He moved to Clovis in 1984 and to Portales this year. He was a farm laborer for Cramer Produce and harvested potatoes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post No. 25 and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He married Martha Villalovos in 1977 at San Benito, Texas. He was a salesman of farm implements and machinery. He later worked for the Clovis cemeteries as office clerk and office manager. He had delivered the Amarillo Daily News in Clovis. He served on the Clovis-Carver Library board and was secretary-treasurer and vice-chairman. He was a member of West 21st Street Church of Christ. Mr. Kennedy married Bernice Howard in 1947. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Kennedy of Albuquerque; a daughter, Cindy Kleyn-Kennedy of Red River; and a granddaughter. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
