Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Quanah Memorial Park with Roelf Ruffner, minister of Chillicothe Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Fellers was born in Honey Grove. After attending East Texas State Teachers College at Commerce, she taught school at Williams High School and Hooleyann High School. She worked as a nurses aide at Hardeman County Memorial Hospital. For 15 years, she lived in Vernon, where she was a member of Vernon Church of Christ and the Vernon Art League. She moved to Paris five years ago. She married William Ira Fellers in 1931 at Hollis, Okla. He died in 1973. Her adopted son, Rodger Wayne Fellers, died in 1970. Survivors include a brother, Alvie Winningham of Honey Grove; a sister, Olga Rollans of Vernon; two grandchildren; and a niece. The family suggests memorials be to Paris Junior College Art Study Club Scholarship; or Tiptons Children's Home. Amarillo Daily News May 30, 2000 Byron Johnson DALHART - Byron Johnson, 23, died Friday, May 26, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was born in Ulysses, Kan., and moved with his family to Dalhart in 1982. In 1996, he graduated from Dalhart High School. He worked as a custom harvester and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include three sons, Crispin Johnson of Republic, Mo., and Trenton Johnson and T.J. Johnson, both of Dalhart; his parents, Clifford and Gloria Johnson of Dalhart; a sister, Nina Johnson of Dalhart; and grandparents, Ida Johnson of Walnut Shade, Mo., and James and Zelpha Ellis of Stonington, Colo. Amarillo Daily News May 30, 2000 Candelario C. Bursiaga FLOYDADA - Candelario C. "Lalo" Bursiaga, 81, died Sunday, May 28, 2000. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday in Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with the Rev. John Ohlig, as celebrant. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery. Mr. Bursiaga was born in Saragosa, Mexico. In 1965, he moved from Raymondville to Floydada, where he was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. During World War II, he served with the Army. In 1973, he retired from farming and construction. He married Josephine Cisneros in 1972 at Floydada. Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, Fernando Arvizu and Billy Joe Villarreal, both of Floydada, and Eloy Villarreal of Amarillo; four stepdaughters, Rosa Duran and Selma Mendoza, both of Floydada, Olga Pena of Lubbock, and Lucy Villarreal of Amarillo; four brothers, Pedro Bursiaga and Lupe Bursiaga, both of Cleburne, and Celestino Bursiaga of Lubbock, and Luis Bursiaga of Raymondville; three sisters, Delores Montejano and Luisa Rieber, both of Lindsey, Calif., and Eloisa Gonzales of Amarillo; 26 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News May 30, 2000 Charles Croley PERRYTON - Charles Croley, 79, died Saturday, May 27, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. John Durham officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Croley was born in Cason and moved from Lovington, N.M., to Perryton in 1959. He was a veteran of World War II and was a driller and tool pusher in the oil industry. He married Virginia Talley in 1940 at Omaha. She died in 1998. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry W. Croley. Survivors include two sons, Charles Croley III and Billy Mack Croley, both of Perryton; two daughters, Joyce Prater of Borger and Sharon Brown of Beaver, Okla.; three sisters, Faye Ramsey of Tyler and Mildred Barnett and Bobbie Williams, both of Gladewater; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. Mrs. Truelock was born in Cottle County. She was a lifelong resident of the Paducah area and a member of Missionary Baptist Church. She married Hubert C. Truelock in 1935 at Paducah. Mrs. Truelock was preceded in death by two daughters, Anita Joy Truelock, in 1940, and Betty Lee Truelock, in 1955. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Gwynna Stofel of Paducah; a brother, Walter Neal Smith of Graham; a sister, Thelma Clark of Grapevine; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Parks was born in Young County. After graduating from Tulia High School, she attended Lubbock Business College. In 1950, she moved to South Plains from Amarillo. She married Isaac Harvey "Sparky" Parks in 1940 at Amarillo and they owned and operated Parks Oil. She retired in 1983. A member of the American Cancer Society and the Red Cross, she started Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in South Plains. In Floydada, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Eddie Parks of Livingston and Jay F. Parks of Dimmitt; two sisters, Dorris Lawson and Martha Blaine, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery at Vincent, Okla., by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mr. Allen was born in Harmon County, Okla., and moved with his family in 1945 to Perryton. In 1975, he moved to Shamrock, where he built homes and owned and operated an earth-moving equipment company. He retired in 1993. He was a Baptist and a member of the Elks Lodge of Perryton. He married Faye Rush in 1949 at Perryton. He died in 1987. Her daughter, Maxine Lemons, died in 1997. Her son, Calvin Francis Fowler, died in 1932. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Bowland of Gill, Colo.; two sons, Dolphus L. He married Lucrecia Cole in 1946 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janet L. Hassell of Amarillo; two sons, Richard L. Hanna and Mark L. Hanna, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Vivian Fritsch of Lawton, Okla., and Virginia L. Sellers of Odessa; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories at Clarendon with the Rev. Doug Dubose of Pampa and the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor of First Baptist Church of Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon. The Rev. Edwards was born in Waco. He lived in Howardwick from 1981 until moving to Amarillo in 1999. He was a minister and pastored 17 churches before retiring in 1971. After his retirement, he worked part time pastoring four churches. He was a 50-year member of the Clarendon Masonic Lodge No. 700 and a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo. He married Annie Clara Smith in 1930 at Amarillo. His son, Billy Bob Edwards, died in 1948. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Patricia Ann Smith of Howardwick and Evelyn O'Donna Melanson of Houma, La.; a son, Lanny Edwards of Howardwick; five grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. Survivors include his father, Terrell Chavez of Clovis; his mother, Anna Rosanna Cordova of Clovis; a brother, D.J. Eller of Fort Hood, Texas; three sisters, Venessa Chavez of Clovis, and Terrah F. Chavez and Adrieanna Queen, both of Portales; grandparents, Daniel and Frances Chavez and Victor and Mabel Cordova, all of Clovis; and great-grandparents, Joe and Mary Marez of Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Sullivan Funeral Home Travis Street Chapel with the Rev. Dick Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow at Grange Hall Cemetery. Mr. Conaway was born in Chandler. After graduating from high school in Chandler, he attended Rusk Junior College at Rusk. In 1976, he retired as a plant manager with Babbling Brook Milk Co., and Borden Inc. After retiring, he raised prize Charolais cattle on his farm in Twin Springs. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Elks Lodge and was active in the Marshall area Chamber of Commerce and Boy Scouts of America. He was instrumental in starting the Marshall Little League. He married Sudie Messer Conaway in 1932. She died in 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Conaway Smith of Amarillo; a son, Bryan Ray Conaway of Marshall; a sister, Mildred Harper of Dallas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
