Stiles Edna B. Stiles, 94, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Texhoma Cemetery at Texhoma, Okla., with the Rev. Sherman Eastland, chaplain of Northwest Texas Hospital, officiating. Mrs. Stiles was born in Bartlesville Indian Territory, Okla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Texhoma. Her husband, Alfred E. Stiles, died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Lincoln R. Gustafson. Survivors include a son, Monte E. Stiles of Amarillo; two daughters, Jewel Osborn and Charlotte Goodner, both of Amarillo; a stepson, Charles Stiles of Tulsa, Okla.; special friend, Gladys Evans of Texhoma; four grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, step-greatgrandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Make A Wish Foundation. Amarillo Daily News Jan. 31, 2000 Conny G. Phillips Conny G. Phillips, 66, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000. Mr. Phillips was born in Monet, Ark., and was a former resident of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. He married Liz Phillips in 1969. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Phillips and Ronnie Phillips, both of Amarillo, and Robert Phillips of Baltimore; his mother, Callie Hinkle of Ashland, Ohio; four brothers, Ray Hinkle, Kenneth Hinkle, and Joe Hinkle, all of Amarillo, and Tommie Hinkle of Houston; a sister, Lydia Gray of Ashland; and five grandchildren. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Beach was born in Chattanooga, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1938 from Albuquerque, N.M. She graduated from Temple High School at Temple, Okla., in 1929. She received her teaching certificate at Central State College at Edmond, Okla., and taught for five terms. She was a homemaker. She married Perry R. Beach in 1937 at Albuquerque, N.M. He died in 1990. Survivors include a brother, J.W. Box of Amarillo; three sisters, Charlotte Conn of Vassar, Kan., Marie Higgins of Austin and Donnie Carter of Dayton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Central Church of Christ Chapel with Dick Marcear, minister, officiating, and Paul Sneed, associate minister, assisting. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery at Clarendon by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Evans was born in Hall County, Lakeview and moved to Amarillo in 1939. She moved to Denver in 1948 and back to Amarillo in 1946. After 30 years in sales, she retired from Sears and Roebuck Company. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Evans married George Evans in 1945 at Amarillo. He died in 1962. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Brewster of Amarillo; three sisters, Katrina Garrett of Andrews, Frances Brock and Joanna Haynes, both of Amarillo; a brother, J.W. Osage St. Mrs. Dodson was born in Paul's Valley, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Hereford. She was a homemaker. She married Jack Dodson in 1961 at Tucumcari, N.M. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda Lowe Hartman of Amarillo; a sister, Gladys Rounsavall of Fontana, Calif.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family will be at 1403 N. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. McClement was born in Lamesa and was a longtime resident of Amarillo. After marrying W.H. "Bill" McClement in 1954 at Amarillo, they moved to Hale County in 1969 to farm. In 1985, they returned to Amarillo. She worked as a licensed dietitian at the Golden Age Care Center. She was a member of Mescalero Baptist Church. Her husband died in 1997. Survivors include four daughters, Crystal Spradling of Meridian, Gloria Prince of Amarillo, Stephanie Kerr of Lookeba, Okla., and Kimberly Dees of Abernathy; a son, William H. "Bill" McClement IV of Meridian; a brother, George Charles Lightfoot of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Mescalero Baptist Church. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Crowder was born in Fort Ord, Calif., and moved to Amarillo in 1992 from Copperas Cove. He was a cook. Survivors include his mother, Inge Crowder of Germany; and his father, Beryl Crowder of Korea; and two brothers, Timothy Crowder of Amarillo and Michael Crowder of Las Vegas. Amarillo Daily News Jan. 31, 2000 Oklahoma Forrest Robert McClain LEEDEY, Okla. - Forrest Robert McClain, 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in St. Matthews Catholic Church at Elk City. Burial will be in Rhea Cemetery by Shaw Funeral Home. Mr. McClain was born near Leedey, where he attended schools. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war for six months. He returned to Stillwater and graduated from Oklahoma A&M University in 1947. After teaching and serving as cattle judging coach at the University of Tennessee, he was the Extension Beef Specialist at Louisiana State University. Later, he served as the field representative for the southeastern United States for the American Hereford Association. From 1956 until 1960, he owned and operated a Hereford ranch in Greensboro, Ala. He was a manager for Black Watch Farms in Lynchburg, Va., and was a manager for both Hereford and Angus ranches in the Midwest. In 1971, he returned to Leedey and retired in 1995. Mr. McClain was a former member of the Catholic Church at Thermopolis, Ala., and St. Mary's in Clinton. He was a member of St. Matthew's Church in Elk City. He married Alyce Powers in 1946. Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward McClain of Storm Lake, Iowa; four daughters, Cynthia Daniel of Blacklick, Ohio, Marsha Mau of Houston, Pamela Bouse of Tulsa, and Jacqueline Hanson of Goodnight, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ramos was born in Cotulla. She was a Guadalupana and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She married Doroteo Martines Ramos in 1964. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Truman Johnson of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hefner was born in Davidson, Okla., and graduated from Wilson Consolidated No. 2 at Davidson. She moved to Altus, Okla., in 1946 and to Muleshoe in 1963. After retiring in 1982, she moved to Carlsbad, N.M., in 1988. She moved to Lubbock in 1993. She married J.M. Hefner in 1941 at Frederick, Okla. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Tana Young of Dimmitt; a sister, Gladys McAlister of Muleshoe; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and a step-great-grandchild. "Bill" Shockley, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ninth and Bliss Church of Christ with Mr. Steve Walker, minister, officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Shockley was born in Quay County, N.M., and had lived in Moore County since 1941 and in Dumas since 1958. He retired as a maintenance foreman from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1973. He was a member of Ninth and Bliss Church of Christ. He married Frances Nelson in 1939 at Shamrock. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sue Shockley of Euless and Anne Crain of Dallas; a sister, Beulah Shockley of Groom; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Robinson was born in Garland and graduated from Garland High School and Draughons Business College. She was a homemaker and taught piano in her home. She was a former member of the Garland Study Club, Garland Music Club, Garland Story Club and a charter member of the Garland Music Teachers Association. She was a member of Garland First Baptist Church, where she was the organist. She married J.D. Robinson in 1939 at Garland. He died in 1999. Survivors include a son, Richard Robinson of Kenedy; a daughter, Mary Johnson of Wellington; and four grandchildren. He was a television repairman and a member of the National Rifle Association, American Quarter Horse Association and the First Assembly of God Church. He married Louise Miller in 1946 west of Lefors. Mr. Daniels was born in Vernon and had lived in Pampa since 1937. He was a former Lincoln-Mercury automobile dealer and a longtime oil and gas producer. He was an antique automobile collector and a member of First Baptist Church. During World War II, he served with the Army. He married Joni Peterson in 1954 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Judy Humphreys of Medford, Ore., Marilyn Steed and Jona Smith, both of Pampa; four sons, Jerry Daniels of Pampa, J.C. Daniels Jr., of Medford, Barry Peterson of Amarillo and Garry Peterson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Josephine Young of Spearman and Emily Peterson of Vernon; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
