Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel at Borger with the Rev. Don White, pastor of New Beginnings Church of Borger, officiating. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Baker was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University. He was co-founder of Going To The Dogs Grooming and Boarding in Borger. Survivors include his wife, Carmon Baker; a son, Jonathan Aaron Baker of Chicago; two stepsons, Jeff Laird of Fritch and Jerry Laird of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Jeannie Laird of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Donna Koehnke of Fairfax, Va., Norma Lewis of Clovis, N.M., Ava Herron of Klamath River, Calif., and Faye Armstrong of Whitney; three grandchildren; and a faithful dog, Sisu. Mrs. Burke was a Red Cross volunteer for 15 years. She was a volunteer with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Survivors include her husband, Don Burke of Spearman; a daughter, Audra Thomas of Spearman; a son, Shannon Burke of Texhoma, Okla.; her parents, Harold and Flossie Boyd of Gruver; two brothers, David Boyd of Spearman and Lynn Boyd of Gruver; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First United Pentecostal Church with his sons, Luis Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Columbia on Dec. 19, 1928. He had lived in Memphis for the past two years, moving from Burnham, Ill. Survivors include his wife, Estella Gonzalez Rodriguez; nine sons, Luis Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez and Arturo Rodriguez, all of East Chicago, Ind., Herman Rodriguez of Oak Park, Ill., Oscar Rodriguez of Chicago and Esdras Rodriguez, Nehemias Rodriguez, Esteban Rodriguez and Ezequiel Rodriguez, all of Memphis; two daughters, Flona Maria of Whiting, Ind., and Lea Rodriguez of Memphis; and 14 grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Earthman Resthaven Chapel in Houston. Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Canadian, to R.T. and Judy Smith. He graduated from Canadian High School. He served with the Army in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Dee Smith of Houston; a daughter, Carrie Doke of Miami; a sister, Mary Ann Wright of Canadian; a brother, James T. Smith of Ardmore, Okla.; and a granddaughter. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 1, 2001 Amarillo Rodney Edward Bolmer Rodney Edward Bolmer, 75, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Charles Meyer, pastor of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Bolmer was born April 22, 1926, in Peoria, Ill., to Edward Charles Bolmer and Juanita Opal Reichelderfer. He graduated from Peoria Central High School in 1944. He served in the Army Air Corps from November 1943 to January 1947. He married Dorothy Zimmerman in Amarillo on June 14, 1947. She preceded him in death on May 27, 1971. Mr. Bolmer was a member of Khiva Shrine Temple and Khiva Oriental Band. He was a life member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Peoria and a life member of the Illinois Lodge No. 263 in Peoria. He worked for Southwest Greyhound Bus Lines for more than 30 years. He then was employed by Bank One for 14 years before retiring in 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Anne Bolmer of Truckee, Calif.; a son, Gerald Edward Bolmer of Austin; and a special friend, Shirley Hodges of Amarillo. She and her husband John owned and operated cotton gins in Hereford and Seminole from 1961 until retirement in 1993. Survivors include her husband; two sons, John W. McCleskey of Amarillo and Peter B. McCleskey of Denton; a daughter, Sue M. Wiesman of Midland; two sisters, Lillie Layman and Sue Magan, both of Owensboro, Ky.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
