Ms. Meredith was born in Pryor, Okla., and had lived in Borger since 1996, moving from Enid, Okla. She was a homemaker and member of the United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Meredith of Borger and Keith Meredith of Idabel, Okla.; three daughters, Misty Wilkinson and Lena Meredith, both of Borger, and Tammy Harris of Wimberly; her father, Kenneth Burk of Lawton, Okla.; three sisters, Paula Kight of Idabel, Elonda Cain of Washington and Melissa Long of Germany; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery at Eldorado, Okla. Mrs. Huffhines was born in Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Herbert H. Huffhines in 1926 at Oklahoma. He died in 1964. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Rowland and Marie Ellison, both of Quanah, and Mary Stepp of Matagorda; a son, Tommy Huffhines of Quanah; three half sisters, Margaret Govek of Willard, Wis., and Helen Smith and Christine Butterbaugh, both of Pensacola, Fla.; two half brothers, George Henry Johnson of Pensacola and Billy Howard Johnson of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. She graduated from Fresno California City College in 1992 with a degree in science. She was a respiratory therapist in Fresno. She was a member of the San Jose Catholic Church. Mrs. Everett was born in Young County. She had lived in Bailey County for the past 75 years, and 38 of those were in Muleshoe. A graduate of Goodland High School at Goodland, she was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Clint Everett in 1933 at Portales, N.M. He died in 1969. She also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W. Everett, in 1997. Survivors include a son, Neil Everett of Needville; a daughter, Nancy Stovall of Muleshoe; two sisters, Irene Harth of Portales and Nina Brown of Ropesville; a brother, Pete Tarlton of Maple; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mullberry Cemetery in Sweetwater by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Cotts was born in Meridian, Okla. She had lived near Sayre before moving to Pampa. She moved to Wheeler in 1996. She was a member of Hobart Baptist Church in Pampa, a former teacher of the Young Married Ladies class, and a former member of the Pampa Chapter No. 65 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Bill Cotts in 1929 at Erick, Okla. He died in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Evon Imgarten of Pampa; two sons, Billy D. Cotts of Newbury Park, Calif., and Stanley L. Mr. Jones was born in Wellington. He was a fireman first class in the Navy during World War II and the manager of Childress Cotton Compress. He was a member of the school board and a member of Childress Church of Christ, where he also served as an elder. Mr. Jones married Jane Ellis in 1943 at Eldorado, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, David M. Jones, in 1949. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bunny Jean Lee of Vernon; a son, Charles Samuel Jones of Lubbock; two brothers, Norman Jones of Austin and Robert Jones of Anaheim, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, March 2, 2001 Floyd Miller Wiegman WINTER PARK, Fla. - Floyd Miller Wiegman, 80, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, in Orlando. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Mr. Wiegman was born in Claude and ranched there for many years. In 1970, he moved to Orlando and became a Realtor. He retired from real estate in 1990. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Orlando, and an electrical engineer in the Navy during World War II. He was a past member of the Orlando Board of Realtors. Survivors include his wife, Frances Geraldine "Gerrie" Wiegman; two daughters, Jeanne Gibbs of Webb City, Mo., and Kay Duff of Deland, Fla.; a son, Frederick "Rick" Wiegman of Medford, Ore.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cameron Givan, pastor, officiating. The body has been donated to Texas Tech Medial School. Mr. Schwab was born in Perryton. He served in the Navy and was a Mason. He retired as a supervisor with the Civil Service. He was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an honorary member of the Permian General Hospital Auxiliary. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Mr. Schwab married Vida L. Jefferson in 1950 at Beaumont. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Quitaque Cemetery at Quitaque with the Rev. Lance Cytert, Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mrs. Cook was born in Floyd, N.M. She worked in a cleaners, was church custodian and owned the Quick Stop Restaurant in Quitaque. She had lived in Lubbock for 65 years and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She married John M. Pickett in 1924. He died in 1924. She married Roy Leo Matthews in 1928. He died in 1960. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Matthews, in 1938. Survivors include a daughter, Wanda McClintock of Lubbock; two sons, R.E. Matthews and Ted Matthews of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She lived in San Antonio for 15 years and returned to Amarillo 11/2 years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stevenson was preceded in death by a son, Danny Devore, in 1980. Byford officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Mills was born in Seymour. She graduated from Amarillo High School and Amarillo Business College. She retired from First National Bank. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital. She also was involved in the Amarillo High School Alumni Association. She married C.T. Ledbetter in 1936 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1973. She married E.Q. Mills in 1974 at Amarillo. He died in 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Karola Hayes of Rockwall; a son, Charles Ledbetter of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. The family will be at 212 Ramada Trail. Amarillo Daily News, March 2, 2001 Kansas Dorothy C. Hill LIBERAL, Kan. - Dorothy C. Hill, 81, died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Miller Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. David Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery at Liberal. Mrs. Hill was born in Seward County. She attended school at Praireola and Liberal High School. She lived in Coldwater from 1962 to 1978, where she worked at Pioneer Lodge. She returned to Liberal in 1978, working as a cook at the SCCC and at the Thompson Laundry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, MacArthur Sunday school class, the Dorcas Circle and the Sunshine Circle. She married John W. Hill in 1939. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hill. Survivors include two sons, John D. Hill of Walnut Creek, Calif., and David J. Hill of Fremont, Neb.; three daughters, Margaret Naylor of Wichita, Eleanor Hough of Liberal and Debbie Warren of Deming, N.M.; three sisters, Elizabeth Hill and Imogene Smith, both of Liberal, and Edythe Poteet of Moscow; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. The family suggests memorials be to Liberal Good Samaritan Center and will be accepted at the mortuary. The family will receive friends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Amarillo Daily News, March 2, 2001 Oklahoma Kenneth J. Nash GUYMON, Okla. - Kenneth J. Nash, 67, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bunch-Roberts Chapel with the Rev. Derek Cox of Guymon First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Nash was born in Helena, Mont. He grew up in Seattle and Hesperia, Calif. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving aboard the USS Mount Baker. In 1956, he moved to Oregon, where he worked in the saw mills. He moved to Guymon in 1983, working for Hitch Feeders until 1987, when he moved to Payson, Ariz. At Payson, he worked at Weber's IGA Grocers until 1996, when he returned to Guymon. He attended the First Baptist Church in Guymon. Mr. Nash is survived by his caregivers, Joe and Micki Pierce and Jody, Charla and Josh Pierce, all of Guymon; and special friend, Alice Wilson of Payson. Memorials may be made to the Kenneth Nash Memorial Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
