Mr. Martinez was born in Raton, N.M., and moved to Amarillo in 1960. He attended Palo Duro High School. He was the owner/operator of Martinez Trucking in Amarillo from 1977 until 2000. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Stella Ray Bullington was born Aug. 9, 1906, in Jack County, the youngest of eight children born to J.W. and Josie Bullington. She traveled at the age of 4 months by covered wagon with her mother, sister and two brothers to join her father and four older brothers in Tucumcari, N.M. She made her home there until 1973 when she and her husband moved to Amarillo. She married Art Nylander and from that union came a daughter. She married James Leo Heasley Sr. on Nov. 9, 1930, his 30th birthday. Together they had three children. Mrs. Heasley was a lifelong Methodist and at the time of her death was a member of 10th Avenue United Methodist Church. She was proud of her profession as a licensed vocational nurse with the state of New Mexico and had been employed by the Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Ruth Rebekah Lodge in Tucumcari. She had been an active member of RSVP, a volunteer program for seniors, and looked forward to helping. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988. She is survived by her children, Virginia Ebinger of Los Alamos, N.M., Pat McDaniel of Amarillo, Jim Heasley of Sun Lakes, Ariz. and Janet Taylor of Abilene; a stepdaughter, Doris Heasley Ash of Zephyr; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mark Zimmerman, senior adult minister, and Clyde Goff, Sunday school teacher, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. MST at Tucumcari Memorial Park in Tucumcari, N.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Horton was born in Tucumcari and grew up on the Bell Ranch. He married Hellen on Jan. 3, 1954, in Tucumcari and lived there until moving to El Paso in 1967. They moved to Amarillo in 1984. Mr. Horton always valued farming and ranching and the part it played in his life. He worked as a brakeman for Southern Pacific Railroad and retired after 44 years of service. He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church and the Lamplighters Class. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie. Survivors include his wife; a son, John T. Horton of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mary and Betty; a grandson, J. William; and two great-grandchildren. Ms. Hays was born Feb. 9, 1915, at Stamford, to the Rev. James Louis Hays and Virginia Allen Hays. She began school in Wichita Falls and graduated from Wellington High School in 1932 as salutatorian. She attended Baylor University from 1932 until 1933. She graduated with a degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in 1947. She served as church secretary in First Baptist Churches in Borger, Lamesa and Plainview for 11 years. She returned to Wellington in 1959, where she worked as a secretary for Wells and Wells Insurance Co. for the next 22 years. She was baptized at age 12 in Sunset. A member of First Baptist Church of Wellington since 1930, she worked with the 9- through 12-year-olds in church training and served 38 years as church clerk. She was an RSVP volunteer. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Biter and Murl Hays. Survivors include three sisters, Myra Hays of Wellington, Mary Thornton of Pueblo, Colo., and Jessie Pollard of Odessa. He worked for the Farm Service Agency in Collingsworth County for 20 years and was a farmer and rancher until he retired in 1995. He lived in Dozier from 1934 until moving to Samnorwood in 1963. He moved to Shamrock in August. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was 68. Pirrong, indicted twice by a multi-county grand jury that investigated allegations of corruption within the Health Department, suffered from many ailments that were exacerbated by the scandal, his attorney, Carl Hughes, said. He was 90. Riegner died of pneumonia in a Geneva hospital, according to his spokeswoman Edda Bournot. Riegner was a World Jewish Congress official in Geneva when he cabled the U.S. vice consul in the Swiss city on Aug. 8, 1942, describing Adolf Hitler's plan to deport an estimated 4 million Jews. The driver, Sonya Gayle Robison, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Wayne Beighle, a public information officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety. A passenger, David M. Coelho, a 44-year-old Clovis construction worker, was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center-Clovis where he was listed in stable condition with head and arm injuries Monday, Beighle said. The two were traveling east when Robison apparently lost control of the vehicle, he said. The car became airborne after it drove down a ditch and up an embankment. The vehicle flipped twice and came to rest on its wheels, Beighle said. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt, he said. Wright was found in her home at 106 Broadway St. in Cheyenne on July 28. Robbery doesn't appear to be a motive, according to investigators, because there were no signs of forced entry, no items were missing and nothing was out of place. "We were hoping that this reward, offered so close to Christmastime, might encourage anyone with information to come forward," OSBI Public Information Director Kym Koch said in the news release. The reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and / or conviction of the person or persons responsible for Wright's death, the news release said. The OSBI is assisting the Roger Mills County Sheriff\'d5s Department. All reward decisions will be made by the OSBI Reward Board, the news release said.
