Clark Charlotte E. Clark, 74, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mrs. Clark was born in Bell Gardens, Calif. She married Clifford Clark in 1946 at Winterheaven, Ariz. He died in 1982. She moved to Amarillo in 1983 and was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Louie Clark of Amarillo. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Tucker David D. Tucker, 77, of Amarillo, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001. Services were at 4 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Murray Gossett, associate pastor, officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Tucker was born in Amarillo and was a lifetime resident. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941 and attended Amarillo College until joining the Navy during World War II. After the war, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Tucker was an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the Rotary Clubs in Amarillo and Pampa, having served as president of the Pampa club. He was a founding member of the Parkinson's Disease Association and an elder at the First Presbyterian Church. In 1962, he married Sue Kuyendall. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linny Green of Amarillo; a sister, Elizabeth Paxton of Amarillo; her twin brother, Gilderoy Tucker of Dallas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Feb. 4, 2001 Thelma Clements Thelma Morris Clements, 99, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Nashville, Tenn. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at Glendale, Calif. Mrs. Clements was born in Hayti, Mo. Involved in the groundwork for the Townsend Plan in the 1930s, Mrs. Clements later moved to Amarillo, where she was past president of the Amarillo Federation of Women's Clubs and a past member of First Presbyterian Church. She supported St. Anthony's Hospital and the local chapter of the Girl Scouts of America. She married Robert Earl Clements in 1932. He died in 1979. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1947. In 1954, he married Helen Ann Hornback at Clovis, N.M. She died in 1998. He was a self-employed mechanic, owning and operating Cook's Garage. He worked with the Boy Scouts, earning the Silver Beaver Award. He was a Hobart Baptist Church member. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe Feb. 4, 2001 Addison Wesley Cutter PERRYTON - The Rev. Addison Wesley Cutter, 93, of Dallas and formerly of Perryton, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Ulrey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Cutter was born in Ochiltree County and graduated from Perryton High School in 1924. He attended business college in Chillicothe, Mo., and earned his bachelor of arts and master of divinity degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He also performed professionally in Dallas summer musicals. In Perryton, he had worked for an attorney, the abstract and county clerk's office and the First National Bank. A Navy chaplain, he was later an associate pastor at First Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and taught Bible courses at Oklahoma City University. He served at Methodist churches in Oklahoma and in Texas and helped organize the Northaven Methodist Church in Dallas. Mr. Cutter was associate editor of the Texas Methodist newspaper and chaplain to Goodwill Industries in Dallas. After retiring, he moved to Hide-A-Way Lake and was instrumental in establishing the Hide-A-Way Country News, serving as editor. He returned to Dallas and was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church. He was author of "Town of Ochiltree," published in 1988. He married Louise Garrett in 1928 at Perryton. She married Samuel Erma Malone in 1923 at Agatite. He died in 1963. She married Maxie "Hap" Wiseman in 1970 at Quanah. He also preceded her in death. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Gunnels was born in Seymore, Texas. Before moving to Clovis to farm, he was co-owner of a logging company in Socorro. He later was caretaker of the Clovis cemeteries. After retiring, he moved to Fort Sumner, where he operated the Lakeside Store at Lake Sumner. In 1970, he returned to Clovis. He was a Baptist. In the 1930s, he served with the Cavalry and the Mounted Patrol. He married Flossie Kincade in 1930. She died in 1988. His son, Edward Gunnels, died in 1986. Survivors include two granddaughters, Elaine Carson of Bovina, Texas, and Leigh Ann Rogers of Hobbs; four greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family will be at 1401 Reid. A longtime resident of Clovis and an Army veteran, Mr. Norton graduated from Clovis High School in 1955. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and worked as a manager for Texas Industrial Laundry and retired as a route salesman for Frito Lay. A private memorial service will be held in the spring at Barry Cemetery in Barry, Ill. Cremation and arrangements are by Cremation Society of Virginia. Mr. O'Brien was born and raised in Barry. He attended the University of Illinois and graduated from Western Illinois University. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in post-war Germany. He was a project engineer. He was a member of the Sigma Tau fraternity and USGA. Mr. O'Brien was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Eileen Stash, in 1997. Crittenden, 100, of Garden Grove, Calif., died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, Fountain Valley, Calif. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery. Mr. Crittenden was born in Albany, Ga. He was a sergeant major in the Army during World War I and was awarded the French Legion of Honor Medal. In 1965, he retired Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 45 years. He was an elder at the Church of Christ in Amarillo, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 32nd Degree Mason. In 1922, he married Ida May Cherry. She died in 1961. He married Grace Curlin in 1963. She died in 1996. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Jimmie Crittenden; a son, Roy Crittenden; and two stepsons, William Curlin and Tommy Curlin. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Davis and Joy Webster; two stepdaughters, Geraldine Ledenham and Margaret Powers; two sisters, Ivila Bond and Mary Gaither; seven grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
