Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Chapel of the Fountains at Brown Funeral Directors with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor at Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Olson was a journeyman carpenter and a member of the Carpenter's Union. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Marines. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two sons, David Lloyd Olson of Borger and Steven Sheridan Olson of Pampa; a daughter, Linda Cheryl Moore of Yukon, Okla.; a brother, Lloyd Olson of Vidor; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Juanita L. Morrison DUMAS - Juanita L. Morrison, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church at Dumas with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired minister of Assembly of God in Dumas, and the Rev. Roger Orr, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Morrison moved to Dumas from Amarillo in 1943. She was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Roosevelt County, N.M. She married Morris T. Morrison on Dec. 21, 1936, in Clarendon. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas since 1943. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 653 of Dumas. She was preceded in death by her husband in April of 1987; and a great-granddaughter, Kelsey Jo Patterson in April of 1992. Survivors include two sons, Larry Morrison and wife, Jo Ellen, of Dumas and Jim Morrison of Nacogdoches; a daughter-in-law, Angie Morrison of Amarillo; a sister, Ruby Floyd of Borger; five grandchildren, Melinda Patterson and husband, Guy, of Dumas, Marlis Allen and husband, Cy, of Dalhart, Lance Morrison of Dumas, Jason Poole and wife, Heather, of Amarillo and Josh Poole of Lubbock; and 10 great-grandchildren, Zach Patterson, Meisha Patterson, Kaitlyn Patterson and Dreagan Patterson, all of Dumas, Josh Allen, Alix Allen and Channing Allen, all of Dalhart, Madison Barker of Dumas, and Addison Poole and Avery Poole, both of Amarillo. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery at Stinnett by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. David served as a 1st Lt. Nurse in World War II at Fort Sill, Okla., in England and France, receiving the Bronze Star from the Battle of the Bulge and also a Presidential Unit Citation. She was a registered nurse at the Phillips Medical Center. Survivors include a daughter, Vivian "Pug" Davis of Borger. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Amarillo Mary Louise Klinke Mary Louise Klinke, 82, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. today in the church with the Rev. Pat Carruthers, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Klinke was born in Amarillo and had been a lifetime resident. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked as the office nurse for Dr. William McCue for 16 years. She was an active member of St. Anthony's Auxiliary and volunteered at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Klinke in 1988; and a son, Fred Klinke in 1985. Survivors include two sons, Bernard Carl Klinke and Larry Klinke, both of Dallas; a daughter, Sandra Kay Cross of Herndon, Va.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Susan Toliver Susan Jean Toliver, 49, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001. Services were at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Church of Christ at Clovis with Cecil Bunch and Skip Clark officiating. Burial was in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Ms. Toliver was a teacher at Crockett Middle School. She was a member of Bell Street Church of Christ and an officer in the Democratic Club. Survivors include a daughter, Nellie Lillye Toliver; her parents, Lillye and Bill Toliver of Clovis; and a sister, Jan Cox of Clovis. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Rosemarie Allen Bates Rosemarie Allen Bates, 64, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Doug Sangster, rector of Church of the Covenant, Reformed Episcopal, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Bates was born in Tatum, N.M., on Jan. 22, 1937, the daughter of Harry and Eula Pearl Allen. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1955. She attended Texas Christian University, Stephen F. Austin University and Lamar University, receiving her degree in history and education. She taught school in Beaumont before she and her husband, Ed Bates, moved back to Amarillo in 1976. She was a sales representative for Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals before joining her husband and son, Randy Bates, in the Catastrophe Insurance Adjusting business, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, National Honor Society, Delta Gamma Sorority, licensed mediator in Family Dynamics and Managing Domestic Conflicts through Mediation. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and most of her life was devoted to helping and assisting others in need. She was a devout Christian and a member of Church of the Covenant, Reformed Episcopal. She was a national distributor and received the Outstanding Achievement Award in 1997 through Health through Nutrition. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cindi Vaughan of Amarillo; a son, Randy Bates of Warwickshire, England; a sister, Grace Wilson of Amarillo; and three grandchildren, Tyler Vaughan and Jordan Vaughan, both of Amarillo and Holly Bates of Austell, Ga. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Memorial Chapel at Dunn Funeral Home with Wes Stewart, minister of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Criswell was born Oct. 18, 1917, near Turkey, Texas. He was an ordained Baptist minister. Survivors include a son, Elvin "Button" Criswell Jr. of Borger, Texas; four daughters, Christy Van Sweden of Raton, Rozanne Criswell of Belen, Lois Housman of Floyd and Beverly Williams of Borger; two sisters, Freva Bullock of Tucumcari and Fern Hancock of Payton, Colo.; and several grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Oklahoma Ethel Boothe HARDESTY, Okla. - Ethel "Faye" Boothe, 93, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Apostolic Faith Church at Hardesty with the Rev. Kevin Cornell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery at Guymon by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Boothe came to the Texas Panhandle in 1908. She was an accomplished pianist, teaching and playing in many churches in the area. Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Barnes and Kathryn Cornell, both of Hardesty; a son, Billy Dean Boothe of Bartlesville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Elsewhere Beryl Darby Biddle LUBBOCK - Beryl Darby Biddle, 81, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Resthaven Funeral Home, Abby Chapel, with Doug Hale officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery of Amarillo. Mrs. Biddle was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Cherokee, Okla. She came to Texas in a covered wagon from Indian territory and grew up on ranches in West Texas where her father was a foreman. She married George Biddle on March 15, 1995, in Lubbock. She began her restaurant career in 1950 at Borger. She owned and operated Darby's Grill. She moved to Lubbock in 1968 and worked in the food and beverage business. Survivors include her husband, George; four daughters, Jerri Rae Carper, Carol Williams and Paula Pechacek, all of Lubbock and Ruth Laughery of Odessa; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2001 Patricia C. Robertson SAN ANTONIO - Patricia C. Robertson, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001. No services have been scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Southside Funeral Home in San Antonio. Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel LeRoy Robertson Sr.; a son, John Michael Robertson; two brothers, Joseph Coan and Steven Coan; a sister, Roses Mary Coan; and her wonderful dog, Heidi. Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Feagin of San Antonio, Pat Fuhrbach of Amarillo and Roses Robertson of Honolulu; a son, Daniel L. Robertson of Austin; and seven grandchildren.
