Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Harris was born in Merkel and graduated from Merkel High School. She did alterations for Klines, Hollywood and Marizons. She retired from Colberts in 1982. She was a member of the Holiday Trailer Travel Club, the First Baptist Church and the Mary Sunday school class. She was married to James M. Harris in 1928 at Merkel. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Stevens. Survivors include a son, Jimmy L. A longtime Amarillo resident, she retired from Affiliated Foods and was a member of the North Seminole Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Littlejohn, in 1987. Survivors include a son, Lewis Littlejohn of Amarillo; three daughters, Charlene Maxey of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Helen McKenzie and Annette Ferguson, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Nelson Forsyth of Amarillo and Lynn Forsyth of Athena, Ore.; two sisters, Evelyn Mitchell and Lois Lovett, both of Amarillo; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and was in the first group to be selected in Amarillo to undergo training for the Peace Corps. She also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Stephenson, in 1989. Arrangements are by the Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Mr. Meier was born in Russia. In 1923 he came to the United States, moving to a farm in the Goodwin / Shattuck area and later moving to Booker, Texas, where he attended school. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was married to Mary Louis Henry in 1945 at Santa Rosa, Calif. They moved to Booker, where he was a truck driver for oil companies and was a farmer and rancher. He retired in 1984 and they moved to Shattuck. Mr. Meier was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife; a son, James Meier of Amarillo; two daughters, Shirley Powell of Norman and Debra Born of Shattuck; a sister, Alvana Harms of Amarillo; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Basferd was born in Washington, D.C. He moved to Pampa in 1998 from Bonaire, Ga., where he had lived for 22 years. He was retired from the West Virginia University maintenance department. He was married to Waunita Zinn in 1935 at Fairfax, Va. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, George Edward Basferd of Pampa; two sisters, Dorothy Narrington and Florence LaJoice, both of Maryland; a brother, Thomas Basferd of Morgantown; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gadbois, in 1977. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mass and burial will be held at a later date in Menard by Heritage Funeral Home. Mr. Quiroz was born in Fort McKavett and had lived in Dumas since 1978. During World War II, he served in North Africa and Italy as a staff sergeant in the Army, Company I, 349th Infantry Regiment. He received the Silver Star and the Purple Heart awards. He was a police officer in Tulia, a sheriff's deputy in Dumas, and an officer in the Dumas Police Department. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mr. Quiroz was married to Bertha Rosas in 1947 at Menard. Survivors include his wife; a son, David Julian Quiroz of Austin; three daughters, Cynthia Quiroz of Corpus Christi and Delia Pizano and Nina Gomez, both of Dumas; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kent was born in Gray, Okla., and moved to Texas in 1923. In 1945 she moved from Lubbock County to Deaf Smith County and in 1986 she moved to Victoria. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was married to Lee Kent in 1940 at Perryton. He died in 1986. He served in the Army during World War II in the Philippines. He was owner of Six Point Grain in Hale Center and was partner with a brother, owning Muncy Elevator and Sandhill Elevator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in Pastor's class and Friday morning men's prayer breakfast. Mr. Graham had owned and operated ranches in Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Kansas. He served as a trustee at Wayland Baptist University and was a member of the Optimist Club, the Texas Grain & Feed Association, the Panhandle Grain Association and Southwest Cattle Raisers. He was married to Eva Campbell Smith in 1965 at Dallas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeleine Graham, in 1963; and by two sons, Johnny Graham and David Michael Graham, in 1963. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judy G. Strickland of Plainview and Donna Reynolds of Austin; a son, Mark Smith of Clovis, N.M.; two brothers, D.T. "Buddy" Graham of Plainview and Herman Graham of Muncy; two sisters, Grace Marie Dillard of Oklahoma City and Ima Lea Gamblin of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
