He married Sarah Pick in 1974 at Cimarron, N.M. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melissa Sharp and Amber Davis, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, John Moon of Tejaris, N.M., and Darrell Moon of Azle; his mother, Jennie Moon of Silver City, N.M.; and five grandchildren. Mr. Githens was born in Crawford, Okla. He moved from Crawford to the Perryton area in 1948. He served in the Army during World War II at Normandy Beachhead and in Europe. He was a farmer and rancher and member of the First Christian Church of Perryton. Mr. Githens married Arlee Blurton in 1945 at Sayre, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Bob Githens, in 1983. In 1928 he moved to Wheeler County and farmed near the Briscoe community until 1951. He moved in 1953 to Skellytown, where he worked at Skelly Oil Co. He retired in 1973 and returned to Wheeler. He was a member of the Berean Sunday school class and had served as deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Pannell married Gladys Standridge in 1928 at Sallisaw. He was preceded in death by three children, Betty Dean Pannell, in 1933; Freddie Pannell, in 1949; and Dortha Calcote in 2000. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Imogene Murray of Childress; a son, Eddie John Pannell Jr. of Briscoe; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Mrs. Jones was born in Bishop. She moved to the Happy community in 1918 and in 1947 moved northeast of Plainview. She was a member of the Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ. She taught Bible class and she and her husband presided at Sunday services at Integrated Health Services in Plainview until 1987. She married Dent Jones in 1934 at Hale County. He died in 1996. Dennis Noblett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Lindsey was born in Bakersfield, Calif. He served in the 474th Infantry of the Army. At Palo Duro Canyon State Park, he had worked as a park ranger and later worked in the riding stables, which he also owned and operated. He retired in 1995. He had worked as a cowboy in California, Nevada and Texas, had lived in Canyon for 35 years and was a Jehovah's Witness. He married Bettye Ross in 1987 at Canyon. He was preceded in death by three sons, Jimmy Lee Lindsey, in 1945; Kelly Alfred Lindsey, in 1966; and Jesse Harold Lindsey, in 1990. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie, in 1985. Georgia St. Mr. Maiwald was born in Harlan. He grew up in Panama and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in 1961. He served in the Army. He owned and operated a barber shop in Denison, Iowa, until 1980. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had served with U.S. Department of Labor and Junior Chambers of Commerce. Survivors include her husband; five sons, Joe Medina, Alfred Medina, David Medina and George Medina, all of Amarillo, and Daniel Medina of Phoenix; five daughters, Bertha Arce of Farwell, Janie Cardoza of Grand Prairie, Mary Garcia of Quanah and Margrett Mendoza and Rosemary Medina, both of Amarillo; four brothers, Raymond Andrade of Fort Worth, Juan Andrade of Garden City, Sebastian Andrade of Brady and Fred Andrade of Canyon; a sister, Sostenes Colamco of Vacaville, Calif.; 39 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren. He moved to Amarillo in 1978 and attended River Road High School. He graduated from Kennedale High School in 1987 and attended Tarrant County Junior College. He was a construction worker. Survivors include his parents, Jan and Wayne Benton of Amarillo and Gail and Pete Collazo Jr. of Arlington; a brother, Kyle Collazo of Mansfield; two sisters, Kim Brown of Amarillo and Ealon McCartney Celina; grandparents, Mavis Maney of Houston, Eldon Maney of Odessa and Melba and Pete Collazo Sr. of Richland Hills; and special friends, Shona Bagley and Donnie Hart.
