Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Church of Christ with Mr. Mike Talley, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Thrasher had lived in Sherman County since 1978. He was a mechanic. He was born Jan. 11, 1916, at San Jon, N.M. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Church of Christ in Stratford. He married Grace Scheffel on Jan 22, 1944, at Sharon, Wis. She preceded him in death on May 8, 1992. Survivors include three daughters, Roberta Sampson of Batesville, Ark., Ann Dretske of Stratford and Donna Stumpner of Weyauwega, Wis.; a son, Fred Thrasher of Mobeetie; a brother, Robert Thrasher of San Jon; five sisters, Edna Flint of San Jon, Ione Woolman of Farmington, N.M., Onita Irving and Nellie Brown, both of Logan, N.M., and Laura Brittain of Woodward, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday in San Jose Catholic Church with Monsignor Arturo Meza as celebrant. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery. Ms. Sermino was born Oct. 2, 1910, in Rosita, Mexico, to Steven and Anselma Torres. Survivors include a son, Alex Sermino of Hereford; two sisters, Casimara Mendez of Asherton and Estefana Rodriguez of Chicago; a brother, Hilario Torres of Glendale, Ariz.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Flores was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. She married Jose Flores on Aug. 22, 1946, at Edinburg. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Gloria F. Elvis Pitts, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Ammons was born on Dec. 2, 1916, to John Wesley Ammons and Donnie Tabb Ammons in the Aberdeen Community of Collingsworth County. He married Frances Ann West on April 15, 1939, at Aberdeen. A lifetime cowboy, he was a member of two pioneer families in the Aberdeen Community. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.E. Ammons and J.I. Ammons; and three sisters, Mittie Aaron, Katherine Tankersley and Leota Ammons. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Ammons of Wellington and Dan Ammons of Dumas; a sister, Cordia Bodine of Wellington; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He had been a farmer and rancher most of his life. He farmed the Bush Estate. He served with the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hope Becnel Fite, in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Bert Fite and Victor Fite, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Joann Butler of Amarillo; two brothers, Marion Fite and John Everett Fite, both of Lubbock; four sisters, Hattie Cunningham of Oklahoma City and Janet Coalson of Carnegie, Okla., Dorothy Ellis of Hub and Alta Hutto of Clovis, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Fite of Wildorado; four granddaughters, Kerensa Fite of Dallas, Vicki Burrell of Claude, Danielle White of Amarillo and Kara Fite of Dallas; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Osbon was a graduate of Fayetteville High School at Fayetteville. He was a member of First Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Aimee Osbon; and a grandson.
