Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Naylor was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Childress. She worked at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., as assistant registrar and official recorder, retiring after 17 years. Survivors include three daughters, Jean McMasters of Mesquite, Joyce Parks of Cripple Creek, Colo., and Debra Naylor of Lubbock; a son, Robert Youngs of Findlay, Ohio; a sister, Ethel Reda Cole of Toowoomba, Australia; two brothers, John Henry Turner of Childress and Sherman W. Turner of Nevada; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 11, 2001 Glen Smith GROOM - Glen Smith, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in Amarillo. Georgia St. Mr. Smith was born in Leonard. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Jossie Fae Hardcastle in 1937. He retired as a John Deere mechanic and farmer. He was a lifetime member and former chief of the Groom Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Marie Wagner of Stratford; a sister, Irma Ray Rutherford of Groom; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Attyd was born in Amarillo and lived here most of her life. She was a barber and beautician and an instructor at West Texas Barber College. She was active in women's bowling and served as secretary to the local bowling association. She was an avid reader and member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Moritz married Janice Harned on March 3, 1970, in Los Angeles, and moved to Amarillo in 1976. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. Miss Smith attended public schools in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1989 and Amarillo College in 1993. While residing in Amarillo, she was employed by Richard Hinnant State Farm Insurance Agency from 1988 to 1998. She worked for Bruce Riley State Farm Insurance Agency in Highlands Ranch, Colo. She was a member of Ken Caryl Baptist Church and was active in her Sunday school class and was an Awana teacher. She died suddenly after a brief illness. Survivors include her parents, Maye and Guy Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; two sisters, Monica Smith and Mika Smith, both of Amarillo; and her grandmother, Nevada Yoakum of Suwanee, Ga.
