She had lived in the Perryton area since 1962, moving from Amarillo. She was a homemaker and member of the Assembly of God of Perryton. She married Clifford Ross in 1942 at Temple. He died in 1986. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Ross, in 1952; and by a son, Dale Wayne Ross, in 1955. She also was preceded in death by a son, Kim Wayne Miller, in 1982. Mr. Hagar was born in Hereford. He was a retired maintenance worker at Holly Sugar and at Armour Beef, where he was also was a welder. He was a member of the Hereford Fire Department. He was a member and former deacon at Trinity Fellowship Church and taught Sunday school for children at First Christian Church. Mr. Hagar married Mary Kay Hoff in 1947 at Canyon. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul Hagar of Ontario, Wis., Kenny Hagar of Hereford and John Hagar of Andrews; a daughter, Kay Williams of Hereford; a sister, Bess Cottrell of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Thomas, 77, formerly of Dumas, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, in Weslaco. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired Assembly of God minister, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Thomas was born in Memphis. During World War II, he served in the Army with the 740th Tank Battalion Daredevil Tankers that fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He had lived in Dumas since 1950 and in Progreso Lakes for the last 10 years. He was former co-owner of Thomas Cartage. He was former chairman of the board of directors of First State Bank in Dumas and was mayor of the city of Dumas. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Khiva Temple. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Weslaco. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel, in 1989; and by his second wife, Mary Lou, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Ann Beckley of Guymon, Okla.; a son, Jim Wayne Thomas of Oklahoma City; a stepson, Jimmy Ray Glasgow of Arlington; a sister, Dr. Amilda Thomas of McAllen; four grandchildren; and companion, Dorothy Egleston of Progreso Lakes. She was a member of the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church. She married Ivy McCoy in 1955. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the South Lawn Baptist Church in Amarillo. She married Rufus A. Kennedy in 1922. He died in 1972. She also was preceded in death by a son, Donald R. Kennedy. Mrs. Williams was born in Coalgate, Okla. She graduated from Sudan High School in 1931. She worked in the Sudan School lunch room, serving as supervisor. She had written a book about her family and other Lamb County pioneer families. She was a member of the Sudan Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sudan Church of Christ. She married Clifford Williams in 1932 at Clovis, N.M.
