Osage St. Mr. Jones was born in Portales, N.M. He worked in the beef industry for 32 years. Survivors include his wife, Dottie of Childress; his mother, Mary Jones of Clovis; two sons, Thaddeus and Zackery, both of Edgar, Wis.; three brothers, Chuck Jones of San Angelo, and Harlen Jones and Howard Jones, both of Clovis; and twin sisters, Jan Kipp of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jean Schwabb of Dallas. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Herring was born June 16, 1915, in Rhineland. He graduated from Rhineland High School. He married Bertha J. Schumacher in Rhineland. She preceded him in death in 1964. They moved to Amarillo in 1939, where he was employed and retired from Asarco. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. Survivors include two sons, Martin Herring of Austinand Kenneth Herring of Evergreen, Colo.; four daughters, Katherine Huseman of Nazareth; Sylvia Randolph of Chandler, Okla., Nancy Handing of Dalhart, and Jeanette Herring of Amarillo; a sister, Cleo Askins of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hudgens was born in Tennessee and was a resident of Amarillo for more than 40 years. She worked in the meat department for Furr Foods in Amarillo for many years. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 14, 2001 Freddie B. Roach TEXHOMA, Okla. - Freddie B. Roach, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. Services were Thursday in the Texhoma United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dane Lemmons of Texhoma, and Mark Metzzer of Stratford officiating. Burial was in the Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Freddie B. Burrows was born in Stratford on Nov. 27, 1915, to Walter and Mattie (Jasper) Burrows. She was raised in Texhoma where she met and married Mansel Roach on Jan. 6, 1944. To this union were born two daughters, Zelda and Winnie. Freddie had an active life as a housewife, mother as well as the 4-H leader and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of Home Demonstration Club, Flower Club, Lucky 13 Quilting Club, also volunteering time in the Methodist Bargain Store. She was a postal employee until she retired. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Roach is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Zelda Pickens and husband Ronnie of Stratford and Winnie Burrow and husband John of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Doug Pickens and wife LaNette, Steven Pickens and Holland Burrow; and six grandchildren.
