Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church by the Rev. Ed Sweeney, Bishop Leroy Matthiesen, and Gabe Rivas, deacon. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery at Bovina by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Baca was a lifetime resident of Parmer County. She was born April 6, 1936, in Bovina. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, serving on the parish council, ladies society and as a member of the church choir. She also served on the deanery board and the diocesan council of Catholic women. She married John Baca on Oct. 5, 1956, in Bovina. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Teresa Braillif and Peggy Cabrera, both of Friona; a brother, Joe Brito of Ribera, N.M.; five sisters, Pearl Cervantez of Bovina, Marie Cervantez of Clovis, N.M., Donna Dominguez of Portales, N.M., Lucy Everett of Earth and Elizabeth Sena of Clovis; four grandchildren, Candy Baca of San Angelo and Brandi Braillif, Stephanie Cabrera and John Andrew Cabrera, all of Friona; and a son-in-law, Raul Braillif of Friona. Mrs. Gossett was born and raised in Amarillo. Glenda married Cleborn "J.C.'' Gossett on May 29, 1954. They moved to Vega and raised their three children. In 1980, they moved to Hereford from Vega. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lottye Cotton of Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; a son, Stan Gossett of Plano; two daughters, Tammye Lange of Gainesville and Lesa Valentine of Wildorado; two sisters, Rexan Nordyke of Amarillo and Freda Jackson of Katy; and 10 grandchildren. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery in Nazareth by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mr. Brockman had resided in the Lazbuddie area since 1968, moving from Lubbock. He was the manager and salesman for Wilbur-Ellis Fertilizer Co. at Lazbuddie. He married Judy Schulte on June 22, 1965, in Nazareth. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina, where he belonged to the parish council and was CCD coordinator. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had served on the Lazbuddie school board for 12 years. Mr. Brockman served in the Army. He had worked for Tide, which became Wilbur-Ellis Fertilizer, for 33 years and was presently manager / salesman at the Lazbuddie plant. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Guy and Jonessa Brockman of Lazbuddie and Leland Brockman of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Launa and George Gaal of Carrollton; two sisters, Irene "Chunky'' Wilhelm of Nazareth and Rita Book of Bluffton; three brothers, Tommy Brockman of Friona and Cyril Brockman and Deacon Jerome Brockman, both of Nazareth; and three grandchildren, Meghan, Greg and Gage. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Polk Street United Methodist Church with Dr. James E. Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Todd was born Aug. 13, 1907, in Baukiss, Williamson County, to Martha Ann Mattie Layne and Sias Alexander Abbott. She was a direct descendent of Simon Miller, one of Stephen F. Austin's original 300 who olonzed Texas in the 1820s. Her great-grandfather was Adam Lawrence, renowned pioneer and Indian fighter. Another ancestor, Roger Miller, died at the Alamo. She married Clyde Todd in April 1925. They farmed and ranched near Wilson. They moved to Crowell in 1927 and to Amarillo in 1947, where they continued in the farm and ranch industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Clyde Todd, in 1975. Survivors include three sons, Perry Enos Todd of Simi Valley, Calif., Horace David Todd of Lubbock, Lahroy (Larry) Abbott Todd of Palm Desert, Calif.; one granddaughter, Cinthia Ann Todd of Simi Valley; and one great-granddaughter, Jaime Todd Comac of Orlando, Fla. He graduated from Amarillo High School. He worked for Levi Straus for 14 years, then for Target for 14 years. Survivors include his mother, Janie R. She was a member of the Church of God on Buchanan Street where she was the pianist. Mrs. Nimmo was a homemaker and a wonderful mother. Mr. Nimmo passed away in 1999. Jon Sims, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Mickle was born on Aug. 18, 1920, to Ed and Bonnie Woods Mickle, in Canyon. He attended Canyon High School. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during World War II. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt, fish and camp out. He was a good mechanic and had worked at Stevenson's Pontiac, Midway Chevrolet, and Greg Lair for the past 60 years. Mr. Mickle was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canyon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jean Mickle Gibson, in 2000. Survivors include a sister, Lorine Childers of Canyon; and a nephew, Jim D. Childers of Houston. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1999. They moved to Canyon in 1966. She was employed at Canyon Independent School District for 20 years and retired in 1986. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Wetzel of Houston; two sons, Ron Wetzel of Amarillo and David Wetzel of Plano; a brother, Jack Hardin of Dallas; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Flynt was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He retired in 1992 from the Army Reserve, attaining the rank of major. Burial will be in Hartville Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mrs. Banks was a lifelong Hardesty resident. She was married to Willis Leslie Banks for 65 years. Mrs. Harding was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Poteau, Okla., to Cora Ellen and William Deaton. Ocie grew up in Poteau before moving to Texola, where she met Charlie Harding. They married on March 28, 1934. They lived in Shamrock, Texas until 1953, when they moved to Wheeler, Texas. Charlie passed away in 1980. She remained in Wheeler until 1993, when she moved to Erick. She was a member of Erick First Baptist Church. Mrs. Harding was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Charles Ray Harding; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Abla and husband, Duane, of Erick and Patsy Schaffer and husband, Sam, of Wellington, Texas; two sons, Paul Harding and wife, Dovie, of Lubbock, Texas and Louis Harding of Erick, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Blanche Deaton of Poteau, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
