Miss Dugan was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Anson, the daughter of Lon and Mattie Hyatt. She married Edgar Duggan in 1938 and was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Bob Duggan and Dorman Duggan, both of Hereford, and Gary Duggan of Canyon; a daughter, Janis Tillery of Busch, Colo.; a sister, Jettie Hall of Abernathy; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Gibson Area PADUCAH - J.J. Gibson, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in Lubbock. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church of Paducah. Burial will be in Guthrie Cemetery at Guthrie by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Gibson was born May 29, 1921, in Paducah and had been a lifelong resident of Cottle and King counties. He graduated from Paducah High School and Texas Christian University, where he played on the varsity football team. He served in the Marines in World War II and the Korean War and attained the rank of captain. He was awarded the Purple Heart in Okinawa and his unit received the Presidential Unit Citation. He was married to the former Nadia Richards on Nov. 10, 1948, in Paducah. He was general manager of the Burnett Ranches, Ltd. Prior to that time he was foreman of the 6666 Ranch in Guthrie. He was a member of the board of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and the Ranching Heritage Association. He received the Texas Trailblazer Award at the Texas Roundup in 1998. He is a member of the Hall of Fame of the American Hereford Association and received the Foy Proctor Cowman Award of Honor in 2001. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Jefferson Gibson III of Lubbock and Michael Richards Gibson of Guthrie; a brother, Kenneth Gibson of Amarillo; a sister, Alma Long of Paducah; and a grandson, Pryor Lee Gibson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Allison was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Ballinger to H.G. "Grady" Herring and Erie Stuart Herring. She was raised and attended schools in the Ballinger-Norton areas. She married Frances Allison on Dec. 23, 1939. They moved to Dalhart in 1944. She was a Baptist and an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frances, in 1995; her parents; two brothers; a sister; and a granddaughter. Survivors include three daughters, Barbra Koelzer of Wheeler, Nita Gibbs of Amarillo and Lynda Gilmore of Dalhart; two sisters, Adare Blue of Stephenville and JoAnn Sallee of Austin; two sisters-in-law, Pat Proffitt and Nelda Herring, both of Dalhart; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Matheson was born July 22, 1913, in Ashtola, Donley County and lived in Armstrong County more than 80 years. She married J.P. Matheson on Jan. 29, 1937, in Goodnight. The Matheson family farmed and ranched in the Goodnight and Claude area. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Claude. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P., in 1995; and a son, Larry Matheson in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Matheson Beverly of Fort Worth; three sisters, Maude Talley of Amarillo, Cressie Baily of Houston and Verna Massie of Claude; a granddaughter,Kerri Falkenberg and husband, Randy, and their children, Emily and Brent of Plainview; and a granddaughter, Deanna Loiselle and husband, Lance, and their children, Lane and Logan of Ponder. He was a graduate of Brewster Vocational High School in Tampa, Fla. He moved to Amarillo in 1957. He was a veteran of the Air Force, stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base. He was a union sheetmetal worker from 1961 to 2000 as well as Sheetmetal Union Coordinator for six years in Amarillo. He retired in May 2000 from Yearout Mechanical in Albuquerque, N.M. He was a member of Sheetmetal Workers Local Union 49. He was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. He married Madonna Green on Aug. 19, 1960, in Dumas. Mrs. Bustos was born in Amarillo and lived here most of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years. She was a homemaker. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Esperanza Delagarza; and a sister, Francis Delagarza. Georgia St. Mr. Busby was born in Tahoka. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II from 1942 to 1946. While serving in the Army he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He fought in New Guinea and Luson. He was awarded the American Theater, Asiatic-Pacific Theater, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorius Unit Award and the Victory Medal. He farmed in South Dakota from 1950 to 1953. He married Adaline Rudd in Miller, S.D., on Aug. 30, 1954. He worked for Trico Industry in Los Angeles for 20 years. He moved to Amarillo in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Adaline; two sons, Steve Busby of Amarillo and Greg Busby of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Paula Busby of Amarillo; three brothers, David Busby of Hobbs, N.M., Leroy Busby of Lubbock and Doyle Busby of Sturgis, S.D.; four sisters, Shirley Brown of Hereford, Marie Mount of Lubbock, Marge Morris of Wilson and Norma Jo Coleman of Hereford; and two grandchildren. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Amarillo.
