Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ivy Chapel at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Dee Slocum, pastor of First Baptist Church of Groom, officiating. Mrs. Barr was born in Albany. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1954. She worked in the staff office of the Judge Advocate General in Washington, D.C., before moving to McLean, where she was secretary to Commander of the Prisoner of War Camp. She later worked with her husband at the Panhandle West Texas Merchants Association. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. She married Oscar L. Barr in 1941 at Fort Worth. He preceded her in death in 1985. Mr. Nevins was a food service manager for Panhandle Addiction Recovery Center (PARC) for nine years. He worked for the Amarillo Senior Citizen Center delivering meals to the home-bound. Mrs. Howell taught Sunday School for 21 years at First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Ann Nassau Circle. She was a charter member of the Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary and a 50-year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter B. She graduated from Goodlett High School and West Texas State University. He married Gayle Edgar on Feb. 13, 1959, at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife, July Green, in 1996. In the 1930s, she and her husband, Jose Ramos, toured nationally as "Jose and Maria," singing and playing guitar. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Mariana; her husband, Jose Ramos; and a sister, Concepcion Flores. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Lupe Duron of Robinson; a brother, Theodore Flores of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 22, 1940, at Dougherty to Mrs. Irene Owens King and the late Mr. Claude Woody. She attended schools in Floydada and graduated from Lubbock High. She moved to Tulia from Canyon in 1995. She married Max Jones on July 17, 1998, at Lubbock. She was a secretary for Goodpasture Grain in Tulia for two years and a legal secretary for Randall County for about 10 years. She was a Baptist.
