Services will be at 11 a.m. today in San Jacinto United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Northlawn Memorial Gardens of Dumas with military honors rendered by American Legion Post No. 224. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Weidling was born in Channing and raised in Dumas. He was a resident of Amarillo for 25 years before moving to El Paso. He lived there 27 years and returned to Amarillo 21/2 years ago. He was an industrial engineer with Southwest Portland Cement. He graduated from Dumas High School, New Mexico Military Academy and Texas Tech University. Mr. Weidling was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany. He served as lay minister for the Methodist church. He was active in the El Paso Upper Valley Lions Club and Kids, Inc. He also was a supporter of Boys Ranch. Survivors include a son, John Weidling of Amarillo; three daughters, Judy Heath of Amarillo, Jana Johnson of San Antonio and Carla Berry of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a stepson, John Weatherly of Red Oak; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Page was born May 26, 1928, in Rochester, Ill. He had been a science teacher in the Tucumcari Public School System since 1954, retiring in 1989. Survivors include his wife, Mickey Page; two sons, Bruce Page of Texas and Michael Page of New Mexico; a daughter, Rebecca Page of New Mexico; two sisters, Catherine Baylor of Clinton, Ill., and Ada Bear of Mason City, Ill.; and five grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 18, 2001 Oklahoma Gordon Lee Grice GUYMON, Okla. - Gordon Lee Grice, 79, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sunset Lane Baptist Church with Rance Grice and the Rev. Lloyd Riddles officiating. Burial will be at 6 p.m. today in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, southeast of Hardesty. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Grice retired from farming and trucking in 1994. He renovated old tractors and attended and participated in tractor pulls. Survivors include two sons, Rance Grice of Kenton and David Grice of Guymon; a daughter, Carolyn Blackwelder of Hooker; a sister, Anna Jean Danner of Guymon; a brother, Charles Grice of Dalhart, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Spradling owned a lumberyard in Gould and Tri-County Butane in Hollis. He served on the Harmon Memorial Hospital board and the Hollis school board. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Byrd of Altus and Betty Robert of Gruver, Texas; a son, John Spradling of Artesia, N.M.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery of Brownfield. Mr. Perez lived in Brownfield before moving to Amarillo in 1967 and to Lubbock in 1999. He worked as a carpenter. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 18, 2001 Area Mildred Beals BORGER - Mildred Beals, 92, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Doug Koehler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Beals was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Texas. She was former church organist and a piano teacher in Borger for many years. She was a member of the Conamour Club and the Ergonian Society. Mrs. Beals was preceded in death by her husband, Newton J. Beals, on May 10, 1986; and a grandson, David Wagner, on June 25, 2000. Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Ballman of Borger and Lawanda Wagner of Houston; grandchildren, Chuck Ballman and wife, Nancy, of Austin, Mark Wagner and Steve Wagner, both of Houston, Cathy Walther and husband, David, of Dallas, Laura Wagner of College Station and Clay Ballman and wife, Kandice, of Borger; and 11 great-grandchildren. Langley, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with T.J. Pittman, elder and minister of Primitive Baptist Church, and Don Watson, elder and minister of Primitive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Quail Cemetery of Quail by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mr. Langley was born Nov. 7, 1928, to Jimmie Lee Langley and Ethy Norman Langley in Quail. He graduated from Quail high School in 1946. He attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls and took a business course from Draughon's Business College. Loyd joined Primitive Baptist Church in 1946 and had served as deacon since 1958. Loyd married Mildred Clay on Nov. 28, 1948, in Quail. After residing in Fritch, he returned to Quail in 1962 and operated the Quail Store until 1973, when he came to Wellington. Loyd worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 23 years, retiring in 1992. He also worked as a farmer during that time. After his retirement, Loyd worked for Bartlett's Ace Hardware for three years. While at Quail, he was a Little League coach and served on the Quail school board for several terms. He was instrumental in the tradition and success of the Langley family reunion for 48 years. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Paula Carson and Pamala Neeley, both of Quail and Susan Nixon of Wellington; a sister, Melba Marcum of Wellington; three brothers, J.W. Langley of Powderly, Hoyt Langley of Paris and Doodle Langley of Quail; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Fern Couture, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Mr. Flores attended schools in Cotulla. He grew up in Morton and moved from there to Dimmitt in 1971. Survivors include his wife, Lucila Flores; a daughter, Janie Lopez of Post; a son, Ismael Flores of Dimmitt; a brother, Fabian Flores of Morton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
