Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Lockney Cemetery at Lockney by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon. Mr. Corder was born June 26, 1925, at Tulia to James Tollie Corder and Sara E. Nall. He married Carlene Huddleston in 1945 at Lockney. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas Co. as a dispatcher. He was a member of Anna Street Church of Christ and Sunshine Singers. He volunteered at Heritage Convalescent Home. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 18, 2001 Edward Lee "Edbo" Bryan HINDSVILLE, Ark. - Edward Lee "Edbo" Bryan, 67, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cole Community Center in Canyon, Texas, with Kevin Naillieux, Berlin Raymond and John Mulford officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery at Canyon by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mr. Bryan lost a 3-year battle with cancer. He was born to Homer and Dorotha Bryan on March 17, 1934, at Happy, Texas. He attended schools at Happy, graduating in May 1952. He farmed for four years, then owned and operated Bryan Construction since 1956. He lived and worked in Nacogdoches, Texas, Pampa, Texas, and Decatur, Texas, before moving to Fayetteville, then to Hindsville where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his father on Feb. 1, 1981; his son, Montye Lee Bryan, on Feb. 5, 1997; and a nephew, Kenny Bryan, on Dec. 31, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Sherla Johnson of Hindsville and Nita Riggs of Rogers; his mother of Canyon; two brothers, Harold Bryan of Huntsville and Roy Bryan of Happy; two sisters, Laura Bassett of Alpine, Texas, and her twin, Edna Bassett of Happy; six grandsons, Jake Johnson, Justin Johnson, Jason Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Landon Riggs and Trenton Riggs; a granddaughter, Chloe Riggs; two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Johnson and Madison Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 18, 2001 Norma Jean Chamberlain CLARENDON - Norma Jean Chamberlain, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church with Rick Massick, lay minister, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Chamberlain was born Jan. 21, 1925, to Ophelia Barkley Colvin and George Colvin in Okmulgee, Okla. She married Fred Ellis Chamberlain Jr. on June 10, 1947, at Roswell, N.M. They moved from Lubbock to Clarendon in 1953. She and her husband established Chamberlain Motor Co. in Clarendon in 1956. She was a member of the session and an elder of First Presbyterian Church. She had served as president of the PTA and had served on the library board in Clarendon. She was an avid reader and belonged to the book club in Clarendon for many years. She had also been a presiding election judge in Donley County and had served on the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 23, 1980; her parents; two brothers, Leroy and Bob; and a sister, Marie Ward. Survivors include a son, Fred E. "Trey" Chamberlain III and wife, Diane, of Clarendon; a daughter, Carol L. She was a Dumas resident for 72 years and a member of First United Methodist Church of Dumas. She married Dale Rosser in 1970 at First United Methodist Church. She was a life member of VFW and Legion. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Parsons, on May 10, 1994. He was a vibrator operator for Geophysical Service Inc. until he retired. He was veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. Survivors include his wife; a son, William E. Georgia St. Mr. Adamson was born in Emporia, Kan. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He worked in the steel industry for more than 20 years and worked at Public Steel as an estimator. He was active in his daughter's soccer team, The Drifters. He was preceded in death by his father, William G. Adamson, on Oct. 22, 1977; and his brother, John Adamson, on Jan. 6, 2000. Survivors include his daughter, Haleigh Adamson of Amarillo; and his mother, Joan Adamson of Amarillo. He worked for Gulf Oil and served in the Navy as a petroleum specialist. Afterward, he worked for Sinclair Oil which later became Atlantic Richfield. In 1966, he held the U.S.-Canadian-Mexican Dog Show. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Beth Fowler Amey and Ida Mae Fowler Ellis. Survivors include two nephews, Thomas H.
