Mrs. Rookhuyzen was born in Booker on Oct. 20, 1920, to Ollie and Julia (Ondracek) Bell. She was the first child born in Booker after it was moved from LaKemp, Okla. Survivors include her son, Terry Johnson of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Brenda Ross of DeSoto; a sister, Frances Cook of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Wheeler Cemetery with Joe G. Jernigan, pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Marriott was born in Blair, Okla., March 30, 1910. He had lived in Wheeler County most of his life. He was employed for several years by Tindall Wholesale. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores, in 1937. Survivors include a son, Garry Marriott of Bryan; a brother, Donald Marriott of Graham; four sisters, Vitula Davis of Amarillo, Gladys Richardson of Mobeetie, Ethel Loftis of Graham and Ermal Pond of Spearman; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was an Amarillo resident for 40 years, moving from Wellington. She retired from St. Anthony's Hospital in 1996. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Wells was born Jan. 3, 1906, in Sweetwater, Okla. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wheeler. She married Raymond Wells Sr. July 26, 1930, in Clovis, N.M. He died July 1, 1980. Survivors include a son, Raymond Wells Jr. of Amarillo; a daughter, Alice Rudd of Hereford; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Ridener was born in Herington, Kan. He served with the Army for five years during World War II. Mr. Ridener was an Assembly of God minister for 53 years. During his pastorship, he pioneered two churches, one in Missouri and another in Texas. He married Joy Fisher July 27, 1943, at Dumas. Survivors include his wife; a son, Fred L. Ridener Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Brenda J. Price of Amarillo; a brother, John Ridener of Plainview; a sister, Helen Bundrant of Austin; two grandsons, Jason R. Hoppe of Portsmouth, Va., and Brandon W. Hoppe of New Orleans; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, volunteer department, 6010 W. Mrs. Gore was born in Snyder, Okla., on Nov. 12, 1919. She married Roy E. Gore on Jan. 6, 1940. They came to Amarillo in 1948. She worked for Doche Cleaners for 15 years and the Filmore Cleaners for 15 years before working for Maywood Co., where she retired in 1991. She had been a member of the Second Baptist Church since 1955, where she was a member of the Good News Bears Sunday school class and sang in the Seniors Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband in December, 1988, and two brothers and five sisters. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Mary and Vincent McManus of Austin; a son and his wife, Charles and Linda Sue Gore of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sherry Dobson and Shelly O'Grady, both of Amarillo; and three grandchildren, Faith, J. Michael and Brandon. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Mason had been a resident of Guymon since 1961. She was employed by Mah's Restaurant as manager for 18 years, retiring in May of 2001 due to her health. Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Johnson and Sherry Garcia, both of Guymon, and Tammy Hughey of Claremore; a son, Scott Mason of Guymon; two stepchildren, Shelley and Eddie Pickens; three sisters, Ann Esch of Two Buttes, Colo., and Margaret Humphrey and Kay Humphrey, both of Springfield, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pennington Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Officiants are the Rev. Suzanne Field-Rabb, the Rev. Stan Harlan, and the Rev. Larry Castillo-Wilson. Burial will be in San Marcos City Cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Hydro, Okla., to Aldine Blake and Jessie Gloria (Hodges) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a musician who loved to play the fiddle, and particularly enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music. He was veteran who served his country in the Navy. Devout in his faith, he was an active member of the Kerrville Baptist Church. For more than 10 years, he served the community of Kerrville with great pride by volunteering his time to the local hospice and veterans hospital. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Merriam Rose Horton Wilson, on Oct. 24, 2001. Survivors include his children, Linda Hendryx and husband, Bruce, of Central Point, Ore., Larry Castillo-Wilson and wife, Rosa, of Albuquerque, N.M., Marcia Harland and husband, Stan, of San Marcos, Jimmy Wilson of San Marcos, Ron Wilson and wife, Karen, of Dallas; brothers, Jesse Wilson and wife, Ollie, and Joedy Wilson, both of Amarillo; a sister, Louise Imogene Wilson Cleek of Missouri; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Mr. Fristoe was born Dec. 10, 1979, in Amarillo. Adam was true. His will was strong and his confidence exceeded him. He loved his music, from rap, hip-hop to jazz and blues. It was "all good" for Adam. The sky is crying. Survivors include his mother, Christina Little of Midland; his father, Shelly Clayton Fristoe of Austin; a sister, Rita Anderson of Austin; a brother-in-law, John Anderson of Austin; grandparents, Joyce Fristoe and Anthony and Dottie Little, all of Amarillo; seven uncles; four aunts; 20 cousins; and many, many friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Mrs. Boyd was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Grandfield, Okla., to the late Thomas Berry Mull and Minnie Loraine Fisher Mull. She married Jesse Charles Boyd Jr. on Feb. 1, 1940. Survivors include a son, J.C. Boyd III of Amarillo; a daughter, Lana C. Blair of Gunnison, Colo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the National Cancer Society.
