Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 22, 1940, at Dougherty to Mrs. Irene Owens King and the late Mr. Claude Woody. She attended schools in Floydada and graduated from Lubbock High. She moved to Tulia from Canyon in 1995. She married Max Jones on July 17, 1998, at Lubbock. She was a secretary for Goodpasture Grain in Tulia for two years and a legal secretary for Randall County for about 10 years. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband; a son, Craig Fewell of Midland; two daughters, Kim Gallop and Leigh Standiford, both of Amarillo; her mother, Irene King of Floydada; a sister, Jimmie Jo West of Lubbock; ex-husband, Bernard Fewell of Canyon; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Mills served in the Air Force with the Military Police in Germany. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch Mr. Farmer was born in Forestburg. He moved to Wheeler County in 1927 with his family. He had been a Borger resident since 1963. Mr. Farmer retired as an operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1983. He was a bombardier in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Charleen Keeler on Nov. 4, 1944, in Shamrock. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Johnson, in 1998. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Fredda Smith of Fritch and MaydaKing and her husband, Terry, of Pampa; two brothers, P.L. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. Paul Richardson of Rockwell Road Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Chumley was born in Amarillo. He attended Palo Duro High School and Amarillo College. He married Martha Frye in Amarillo on June 18, 1957. He was in property management, self-employed and worked throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Revelie Wilson of Amarillo; a son, Martin Chumley of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Robert Earl Chumley of Houston; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Crofford was born July 17, 1920, in Rule. His family later moved to Kelton. He married Gracie Lorene Williams at Claude on Nov. 27, 1923. They were married 70 years before her death in 1993. Mr. Crofford was a farmer, having farmed at Hedley, Clarendon, Hereford, Colorado and Bushland before retiring in 1976. He was deacon emeritus at South Georgia Baptist Church, where he had served for 29 years. Mr. Crofford was a member of the church choir and the sunshiners; he loved singing and playing his fiddle. He also served on the board of trustees for Martin School located near Clarendon in the 1940s. Mr. Crofford was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gracie; by a daughter, Bobbie Ladema; and by his mother, father, three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Margie Crofford Phillips and her husband, Billy M. Phillips of Amarillo; a son, F.G. Crofford and his wife, Bonnie, of Amarillo; three granddaughters and a grandson; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and many wonderful friends. Mr. Bridges moved to Guymon from Paris in 1946. He was a retired plumber and member of the Local Union No. 344. Survivors include a daughter, Regina Bridges of Guymon; a son, Charles Bridges of Stillwater; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
