Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors with Andy Wilson, Jehovah's Witness. Mr. Swindle was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Carbon Hill, Ala., to Bervil and Celia Reed Swindle. He married Mary Frances Nalley on Aug. 24, 1957, in Birmingham, Ala. He served with the National Guard from 1935 until 1964. He moved to Borger in 1962 and worked for the Jack Montgomery Co. He started working in the oil field in 1964 and worked for Helmrich & Payne Drilling Co., Baker & Taylor Drilling, and Mercury Drilling as a driller and tool pusher. He also worked for Bill's Oil Field Service and 3-T until his retirement in 1999. He moved to Canadian in 1975. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Viola Knight and Nan Sims. Sterling Shinn, North Plains Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mr. Holberg was a Dumas resident for 53 years. He was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Hereford. He married Nadine Honaker on June 28, 1946, in Nolette. He was a staff sergeant in the Air Force from 1942 to 1945. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in 1985 after 39 years. He was a member of the 1009 Masonic Lodge in Dumas for 50 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Holberg. She moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Carlsbad, N.M. She was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church where she kept the nursery and was a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac, on Feb. 23, 1995; a daughter, Linda Paulette Reep in 1946; a great-granddaughter; and a great-great-granddaughter. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Moore was born on Sept. 25, 1953, in Amarillo. He graduated in 1972 from Tascosa High School and in 1976 from West Texas State University with a degree in Business Administration. He was in the oil and gas business and in property management. At age 20, he won accolades from the city of Amarillo for his heroism following a bus accident on the Canyon highway when he stopped to render aid. He delighted in creating elaborate adventures for his young sons, Seanor and Tyson, that led them all over the area in search of "treasure." He liked fishing, camping and antiquing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Moore. Survivors include two sons, Seanor Moore and Tyson Moore, both of Amarillo; his father, A.C. Billy Moore and his wife, Betty, of Amarillo; a sister, Desi Moore and her partner, Shane Whalley, both of Austin; an aunt, Donna Anderson; an uncle, Don Anderson; a special friend, Brenda Stull of Amarillo; and several cousins. He strived toward his every goal stopping at nothing to obtain success. Memories of him will fill our hearts with consistent love and bring joy into our lives each day.
