Mrs. Cargill was born on Feb. 12, 1944, in Abernathy. She was raised at Idabel, Okla., and moved to Lubbock in 1959. After graduating from Lubbock High School in 1961, she moved to Plainview where she married Alton Fred Cargill in October 1961. Mrs. Cargill worked for the Hale County Sheriff's Dept. as a deputy for 20 years. She was a member of the Texas Peace Officers Association and College Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, James Fred Cargill, her father, James Owen Dillard and a brother, Tommy Ray Dillard. Oscar Donnell SPEARMAN - Oscar Leo Donnell, 74, died Sunday, July 22, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Donnell was born in Young County. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Pat Hutton in 1945 at Graham. She died in 1981. He married Frankie Duryea in 1982 at Spearman. He helped start Spearman Little League and coached for several years. He was an active member of Spearman Chamber of Commerce and was named Citizen of the Year. He was a member of the Spearman Lion's Club and was a former Lion of the Year. He was an avid golfer and helped start the Hansford Club. He owned and operated Wardrobe Cleaners for more than 40 years. He farmed at Old Hansford. He was preceded in death by grandson, Carl Lauersdorf. He had been a resident of Follett and the surrounding area most of his life. Mr. Huffine moved to Amarillo in 1974 after he retired from Civil Service on Guam, Pacific Islands where he served from 1951 to 1974. He served in the Army during World War II. Felicia Deaton Felicia Shirley Deaton, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 20, 2001. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Pioneer Chapel of N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Damon Deaton and the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Deaton was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Shattuck, Okla., to Felix V. Gonzales and Eileen DuBourdieux Gonzales. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1944. She worked for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway from 1945 to 1956. She married Allan Deaton Jr. in 1949. She was a housewife, and spent a cumulative 21 years establishing and serving as librarian for the Bell Avenue Baptist and South Georgia Street Baptist churches. As a resident of Lubbock, she was active as a Den Mother for one of the local Cub Scout Packs, and was active with the Overton Elementary School PTA. She was also actively involved in numerous bowling leagues in Lubbock. After moving to Amarillo, she was highly involved in her church and media center ministry. She was an avid artist until 1993, doing oil paintings of landscapes, ceramics and cross-stitch. Several of her friends have nativity scenes, of high detail, that were done in ceramic. She desired to evoke realism in her work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Deaton Jr., in 1993. Viewing will be at N.S. He attended Caprock High School. For the past 13 months, he worked at IBP. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Georgia St. Mr. Ross was born in Scottsdale, Pa. He married Dottie Stoneking at Logan, N.M., on Sept. 9, 1966. He was the founder, owner and operator of Ross Plumbing from 1950 to 1996. He was a master plumber and a member of Local Union No. 196 for more than 50 years. He was an active member of Joy Fellowship Church. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., with a degree in English and Education. She married Virgil Albert Pate, M.D., in 1939. They moved to Abilene in 1951. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1968. Mrs. Pate taught English in the Wylie public schools for many years. She was a member of Heavenly Rest Episcopal Church in Abilene. In 1997, she moved to Amarillo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include a son, Virgil A. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Mork was born July 21, 1903, in Hopkins County. She married Oscar Broughton in 1921. He died in 1950. She married Jack Mork in 1963. He died in 1990. She was a seamstress all her life and sewed up until a few days before her death. She was preceded in death by five children; Irvine Broughton in 1933, Lavonia Nelson in 1973, Doris Heath in 1991, Christine Strebeck in 1996, and Otis Broughton in 2000. Survivors include nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Long was born Aug. 10, 1919, on a farm at Optima, Okla. He spent his life doing what he loved best, farming and ranching. Mrs. Montoya was born in Des Moines on May 28, 1920, to Eduardo "Ed" Sintas and Maria Elisa (Salazar) Sintas. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
